Glasses, different hair color/hairstyle and I think a fake tan all contribute to that, lol. Homes looked way more orange this season.

Jensen Ackles mentioned he did 3 audtion for Eric Kripke before getting the role of Soldier Boy which tells me a lot about their friendship. Soldier Boy wasn't handed to Jensen, Jensen had to earn it and I am excited for what Jensen brings to this show that I already love.
Let be real, Supernatural was more about putting in the likely super long hours than having incredible acting chops, even if moments shined for the audience. I'd have been surprised and a bit disappointed if he was just handed this.
@@SwobyJ you are very wrong not one person in supernatural that was casted was bad actor. Even the one episode actors were always picked very carefully. You can for example see many same actors in supernatural as you see in House. And I saw few of the actors doing stuff after. Jensen was by far the highest caliber on set but everyone was always very good.

Feel bad that people refute this bc he has an issue with drinking and attacked a guy once. Like obviously that's bad, yet he pleased guilty apologized profusely and took responsibility. I can think of like 5 people in my nz town who have done smth almost exactly like after a few too many. I don't think it makes him a terrible person, just a flawed person, like everyone, and he's proven remorse and change.

Great to see Jensen Ackles (a fantastic character actor) finally on a show where his catchphrase isn't, "Dammit, Sammy!" 1997-2020 with a 5 year reprieve in between Days and Supernatural that was his catchphrase. lol Freaking love that guy. He did a great Bruce Wayne for The Long Halloween.

Daniel Day Lewis is a character actor. Gary Oldman is a character actor. Marlon Brando was a character actor. Christian Bale is a character actor. Jensen is just an actor, and not a great one for that matter (as much as I like the guy and enjoy Supernatural)

Jensen plays himself, much like Rock, Vin Diesel, Ryan Reynolds, etc. Those guys are type actors. Character actors are often colorful and eccentric, much like Johnny Depp in the 90's.

I genuinely love how this show shifts they’re main character every season, first season was hughie and butcher, the second (IMO) was kamiko and starlight then the third was easily homelander and soldier boy

But man, he crushed it in the boys, Ive never seen him so cold and serious before, nailed it.

I'm really excited to see the Deep in this show. I've always been curious to see him do some fun and coo laction scenes. I loved his scene in Season 2 when he used the sea animals and the whale to help. I'm really sad due to the whale dying still, but it was such a good scene and I want to see him use it in a useful combat scenario. Maybe there will be another few villain sea people he can fight or something.
