You’re The Best!
Thanks for tuning in! What is your favorite location to shoot at right now?
We have a county park with open fields and a great opportunity to catch the perfect golden hour.
@@MicheleSwain that is awesome!
As someone who is VERY new to photography I have learned so much from you guys, I am so thankful!! ❤️
This was awesome! Learning to recognize a good location is like recognizing good light... And where to place people in that location and light
Love the rustic locations! Never thought to try that...thank you
Great advice!! 💛 Thanks!
Thanks so much
Another helpful video. I find myself watching them multiple times. Thanks for keeping it simple. Love the bts.
You are so welcome!!
I love watching you ladies shoot! What focus are you using for the walking poses? Do you tend to get very many blurry shots? Thanks!
Not many blurry photos! We use af-c
Thank you again for your wonderful videos! Do you have a video on how to shoot portraits in live view? I keep noticing that you use this mode so I am just really curious how this works. I shoot with a d750. Thanks for all the wonderful information!
We don’t use it with our d750 because the DSLR cameras are too slow for that but we LOVE it for our Mirrorless. We don’t have a video on that though.
Hi, I’ve watched a few of your videos so far. I was wondering if you each use the screen or viewfinder at different time for shoots? I’ve seen two different shooting styles in a few of these. I’m just getting familiar with the camera so I’m trying to figure out what the easiest approach is
Great question! We use the live view screen with our Nikon z7 Mirrorless because we can tap the screen for focus and with our Nikon d750 (dslr) we use the viewfinder instead because shooting in live view is too slow for that camera.
The place where I like to take pictures is in the city. I love urban sessions. It's my favorite place but I also don't do without sessions in the middle of nature or on a beach. I've done many urban sessions with my photo models.
Emily and Arron. Do you have an adapter for your mirrorless Z7, so you can use your lenses from your Ralf?
We don’t. We bought the z lenses.
Thanks for the tips. Which lens did you use?
I believe we were using our 50 mm
@@esquared.photography I guessed incorrectly, as I hear such good things about the 85mm F/1.8 or 1.4 giving better depth of field. I rarely use my 50mm, there again I tend to enjoy Landscape photography, and use my telephoto's more. Thanks for the tips for when I do my Portrait photography!
I hear the camera shooting quickly. Is your camera set up to do some sort of burst shooting?
Continuous mode
Where do you focus your camera when you do the dad throwing the child up in the air pose?
The child
@@esquared.photography thankyou and a high shutter speed with wide open lens?
@@lizzydalizard yep!
Some good questions, tips here! I realize that the shutter speed needs to be high, so are you shooting in Manual or Shutter speed priority? I notice you often shoot at 200 ISO...why not 100 ISO, is it because of an even higher shutter speed needed/given? I find myself in aperture priority most often, to get a sharp image of the person, but the background thrown out of focus, but I suppose it all depends on the type of shot you're looking for? Do you use back button focus, where you can hold down the button to keep the focus as sharp as possible at all times? I'm wondering if you very often use 'single point' focus, or always continuous? Thanks!
@@Powerstroke98 great questions. We always shoot manual, continuous mode and iso 200 just is what we’ve always chosen. And we do use bbf
What Z camera are you using??
The Nikon z7
do you guide your clients in what to wear?
We typically give them a style guide for our senior shoots and families
@@esquared.photography Thanks for all your videos, they've been very helpful especially the behind the scene ones :)
@@sylviezi9600 you are so welcome
On average, how many photos do you take and how many do you deliver on a senior photoshoot?
I'm assuming you don't use OCF?
We don’t
