    Something I need to try is live mode on the camera. Thanks, that was my biggest take away on this.

    I’m new to following your channel - enjoying it so far! I would like to understand better why your shutter speed was so high with this young man’s shoot? I typically relay on increasing shutter when I’m working with young children/pets as they move so much but when capturing older kids or grown ups I wouldn’t think of raising it this high. Would love a better understanding here as I’m hoping to perfect my camera settings :)

    What lens did you use?
    And I love the settings displayed. I'm slowly learning manual and it's very helpful knowing what you used.

    I am shooting my first session this weekend with a family of 5. I have the Nikon d500 and I think I’m going to use my 70-200 f2.8 lense. Any advice? It’s outside

    I noticed you are using the back screen. Are you using the touch screen to focus and shoot?

    When you both first started photography what lens did you have? I only have a 50mm 1.4 prime lens and I’m worried to get started. Will that be enough to get some great photos for future clients?

      We only used the 50 mm 1.8 and we still use that same lens!! We love that and our 85 mm 1.8!

    Did you have it set to shutter priority during this session? I noticed the shutter speed was the only thing that changed?

    • @esquared.photography
      @esquared.photography Před rokem

      Nope! That’s the only thing we typically change ourselves in manual mode to get exposure correct.

    Do you need permission from manger when photographing by a public building?
