- It's pricey, but performance is great and its build quality is unmatched.

in next 20 years i"ll finally be able to afford this.
🤣🤣🤣
Buy used. More value
I'd say more like 2 years
20yrs is too far it's more like 5 in my opinion
luxurious price he said lmao
I recently purchased Razer Blade 15 on Refhop as my first gaming laptop at a discount. Finding your channel by chance has been a blessing; many thanks for the advice. Excellent review. All points out! Battery life, performance advice, driver control, and conclusion quality.
Hey, have you had any problems with your laptop? I'm picking one up this week and wanted to ask around to see if people were still having issues.
@@IsaiahHorror9783have you used it? How is it?
@@IsaiahHorror9783hello how’s it going. I’ll be getting one soon as well
Thanks for video! Any thoughts on the fan noise or how hot the palms rest gets after a lot of gaming ?
Does Razer 15 2022 have a touch screen option (higher that FHD res)? This isn't shown in any tech specs that I've found of the laptop.
Had you notice yellowish in both sides of the screen in white bright color? Tnx
I have have the blade 15 early 2021 and i am loving it no problems nothing blazing fast and handles everything i throw at it
The 3060??? How was it by now??
I have this computer: Razer Blade 15 Base 15,6" FHD 144 Hz, purchased in 2021. Yesterday I ran out of storage, so now I'm hoping some pc wiz will answer if there is 2 ssd slots on this model, if yes, what ssd harddrive would you recommend?
Hi sir
do you know how can i replace my cmos battery on my razer 15 advance 2020
Why would you plug the adapter in the wrong way?
Went to the Razer Store in NJ yesterday and put it through its paces and it's a nice laptop. Thermals were okay and fans weren't loud which is what we were looking for.
How do we connect it to the modem? No Ethernet port
How hot does it get? My Asus rog gets pretty heated
Stupid question here but why are there no other color options ?
how do u play games with those keypads?
Do both typec ports support 100w pd charging?
What game are you playing in video?
what is battery life like if i just use it for school assignments and no gaming whatsoever?
What about the thermals? Does that chasy heat up hot? And does it chip easily?
How well built is it? and lifespan?
I really want to pick one of these up but the battery life seems to be abhorrent. I'd be using it for uni lectures as well as relaxation gaming - is the battery life as bad as this review, and other sites, make out?
My trackpad didn't work right out of the box? Did anyone else experience this?
What's the name of the end song
the struggle between a laptop for work or my kidneys is getting harder year by year
I didn't stop at high school or went to college for black lgbtq women studies degree, so I don't get your joke.
Question for owners, how's the battery life?
How many frames on overwatch
No display port???

2023 4060 240hz for 400 bucks less..
Ehat should i do bro!?
Vram or framegen
I absolutely love this design, it reminds me of the old 15" Retina MacBook Pros from 2014
I don't get why they removed one TB 4 port.. Im sticking to my 2021
That's the only thing I don't like about mine is I can't change the RGB on the logo but other than that it really good 👍
I got this device, its the best Windows laptop I've used. (I've used macbook Pro and dell laptops)
just got my razer 2 weeks ago w/ the quad ultra h.d. 240hz refresh and more for just under $2000 and a $200 razer gift card . could not ask for a sweeter deal. they brightness is pretty good too!
it was tied up @ customs and they emailed me saying "if it doesn't arrive by the date sent to you, "WE WILL GREATLY COMPENSATE YOU" never in my life have i EVER heard a company say that.
truly impressive!
What gpu you got bruv? And congrats🐍
Trying to decide between 2022 3080ti 144hz 4k vs 2023 4060 240hz
@@Lazy_Lion1122 4060 240hz and it is great!
I was told by Razer Tech support when using a second monitor on the Razer laptop it becomes 60hz no matter if the monitor can do 120hz or 240hz plus
Amen to the video. I have a 2021 15 advanced and I'm using this as my desktop and my macbook as my daily. Great machine.
Hello, I was thinking of getting one of these for my stepson since he's going off to college, we got gamestops insurance that supposedly covers anything we get from them so I was wanting to get a laptop that not only he use to game but also do his college work......my question is, since ei know nothing, if this laptop is good for all of that?
@@chaboi7 More than enough depending on what he'll use it for. I'd recommend buying it from your local pc store than gamestop though. One thing to keep in mind is that when this isn't plugged in the battery life isn't that great. Battery can deplete rather quickly. However, it's a more than capable machine. Hope this helps!
Thank you @@Luis-un8do
My fully loaded model is Out for Delivery now... so facking excited
I’m new to gaming PC/ Laptops
So this helped me a lot. May get this one!
I have bought Razer Blade in 2020 (Base model) and my dedicated NVIDIA grahics died yesterday. I really like this laptop but I didn' expect that GPU will burn itself in 2 year time...
I have a 17" model. The build quality is like a MacBook Pro, which is to say very good. In benchmarks, there are other machines that outperform it but it's fine for what I use it for it. More than fine, actually. One thing I don't hear mentioned in these reviews: the 17" Blade fits in my bag that was built for 15-16" models.
The fingerprints create a mess. Cleaning is easy, just get used to the habit. The interal speakers are trash but I usually use headphones or external speakers.
Thanks this is great info as I'm switching from a MacBook Pro and was considering the Blade 15 compared to other cheaper brands. Looks like I'm going with this one :)
@@johnlow810 ye me too but idk if is it worth razer all people that I know got msi and etc but I jus wanna some simple stuff like MacBook I need this jus for using fl studio and some times some games, I play rarely so
Razer blade is not even close to macbook in build quality sadly
Outstanding video! Just ordered mine today.
What's the polling rate of the keyboard? I am assuming you have to literally buy a razer mouse AND keyboard. lol. For it.
Is it worth buying
I've read the reviews on amazon, many people say that their computer was a defect. Is this true for most people? Please let me know as i am currently searching for a good gaming laptop.
Do not buy Razer. Your money is much better spent elsewhere. I would even completely rethink the necessity of a gaming laptop in terms of just how much power do you really need. Bottom line, with Razer, that premium price does not translate into a reliable product or a company that will act as expected when things go wrong. Good luck to you.
i bought a brand new 2021 razer blade advanced off a guy on FB marketplace who received it as a gift but didnt need it so i got it pretty cheap, anyone looking to casually game on pc and wondering whats powerful enough these laptops will definitely do the trick, zero problems out of mine and i love it
The real question is: does it run freakin hot? Cause my slightly oder Blade 15 certainly does
The razer can be just perfect with these updates
1) A haptic touchpad that doesn't click but still offers exceptional feedback
2) A 16:10 screen
3) Better speaker tuning
4) Ryzen 6000 processors
They should adapt the design from the razer book
And better battery life.
And 240W USB C port instead of proprietary charger
I could also add a larger touchpad! That could be the perfect gaming laptop. I have the Razer Blade 2021 and I do love it, I miss having 16:10, and a larger touchpad. The speaker is good enough for me, it’s not like the MacBook one, but still gets it done.
A camera cap/cover
I’m buying a used one from eBay and can’t wait I heard great things just need to see it for myself
Battery is definitely an issue at this price point.
Do they have a MUX switch pre-installed in the laptop?
Yeah all the blades with the Ti cards in them have MUX switches. For the 15 you have to restart the laptop when you switch to/from it. And for the 17 it doesn't require a restart. I'm not sure about the non-Ti versions though. I would hope they have it as well.
damn 40fps for almost 3k laptop? not in the laptop scene but damn was hoping for more :/
ive ordered the rtx 3080ti with 144hertz display and 4k. Im really curious on its performance. Thanks for the video
Does it over heat? That’s my main concern with laptops
All gaming laptops will see temps up to 100c during heavy gaming, I'm a stickler on thermals as well, but unfortunately with gaming laptops they're pretty much all the same. Although if you have the money they do make liquid cooling for certain brands that accept it. Getting a good cooling pad, applying liquid metal thermal paste and getting vent fan attachments can really help. I plan on getting this laptop along with cooling pad and vent fans... I'm also going to open up the back and see what I can do as a DIY hack with copper shims and thermal paste.
Long term user here,
Don’t let the cool aluminum exterior fool you.
The speakers are mediocre, long term batteries issues plague the entire laptop lineup (to the point Razer FINALLY added a default battery warranty on 2021+ models), you could get a better screen on many other laptops at a lower price with similar specs, customer support is a joke, performance is good and the best in it’s size/volume, these laptops get too hot to the touch at the palm rest which will make your hands sweat which will eat at the anodizing finish on your razerblade leaving a uneven finish on the palm rest, driver bugs (especially audio ones) are a joke, and the sheer performance drop when unplugged makes you feel like you’re using a 2012 chromebook.
It’s a great laptop, plugged in, on a desk
I remember my 1060 i thought it was cool until I played on it and it got extremely hot above 90s average and the battery bloated 😔
@@MrSaljstn I’m going through my second replacement battery right now. I can’t click the touchpad anymore because the battery is bloated.
Certain titles make the palmrest almost untouchable with how hot these laptops get and I can’t imagine that’s helping the battery out at all.
Good I only plug it in
who plays games with their laptop unplugged ?
I have the Razer Blade 15 w/4K display.... I Loooove that thing!! I've always considered Razer to rival MacBooks for windows!! The hardware is always top notch and while the price point is steep, you really do get what you pay for and I'm 100% completely satisfied with my purchase!! I'd spend the 4grand in a heartbeat for the fully spec'd out one if I had to, but.... I use mine for editing CZcams videos and it's waaaay more than enough power for what I use it for!!
I have the same bro, mine is the 2021 one, even though it was very expensive, I’m very satisfied with mine one, I do love it! For me it’s like a MacBook for gamers and the reason that I got this one is that, I can take it to a meeting without showing it’s like a “gamer laptop” you know? I still miss 16:10 and a larger touchpad.
@@maviniii That's 🔥🔥.... I got mine "Skinned" from D-Brand!! Definitely more than pleased with it!!
@@Leada1ne I was thinking about it, but I’m afraid of losing it’s beauty with this skin… do you recommend it? Do you have pics out video in yours? Thanks bro
@@maviniii Highly recommend.... video is up on my channel!! The skins are customizable to any color you want (that's available) The carbon fiber will definitely protect from scratches. I skinned the top, keyboard and mouse pad
Razor does sacrifice cooling for a slimmer design. Why should I buy kneecapped components just for a little bit thinner notebook?
Do they have at least mux switches in their laptops in 2022?
Blade 15 has had them since at least 2020
@@alexandermaloney4016 Great love it!
Only complaint I have is it’s battery life when doing normal work stuff.
at 4:01, I almost had a heart attack when he pulled the laptop apart.
Since they milled out the holes for the speakers, am I right in thinking that the disgusting debris clogging of the other speakers isn't a problem anymore? I've got a Razer 15 Advanced 2020 model and the speakers get all manner of dust and skin cells stuck in it with no easy way of cleaning it out.
I do love my Razer, it's a solid machine and whilst it's not up there with the fastest of gaming laptops it's a happy medium between all the factors considered when buying a machine - it's just quite expensive!
Ew.... I don't have that in mine😒😒
@@Leada1ne compressed air and sellotape helps but it doesn't get it all.
@@DylanF I'm saying.... I don't have any of that in mine!! Do you just leave it open all the time?? How are you gettin "Skin Cells" in your speakers yo🤔🤔??
@@Leada1ne Yeah...Funny enough, I did understand what you said. 🤦♂I think you've misunderstood my message.
I don't see how milling the holes would get rid of the issue.
I wouldn't recommend the 15 inch this time around. The 17 inch Razer Blade gets 8 speakers and 165 watt 3080 TI. The 15 inch version won't be able to let the 3080 TI stretch it's legs.
The speakers are trash
Tough not to see Apple’s influences here, definitely a beautiful machine at a wallet-dropping price. It’s THE MacBook Pro for Windows users.
Thats why I bought it - with way more ports too
@@Vandal42 yeah, if my workflow wasn’t already ingrained in the Apple ecosystem, this is probably the laptop I’d buy as well.
@@Vandal42 yeahhh me too, that’s why I bought it, beautiful design, I can take it to meeting, college… and it doesn’t look like that “Gamer Laptop” you know? I miss a larger touchpad and 16:10 screen, I part of it, I’m very happy of what I have 😍
No its what Apple wishes the MacBook turned out to be. This thing will absolutely mop the floor with an M1 or M2 in any 3d application.
@@flat_stickproductions209 I don’t think we need to posture in fanboi poses here, I’m not asserting that the Razer Blade is an inferior product. In fact, as you allude to, for gaming “workloads” and 3D professionals, this laptop is a far superior option. The overall aesthetic, however, definitely borrows heavily from Apple design language. Further, Apple’s recent record revenue numbers might suggest that they have no regrets about their MacBook line, except maybe not having a strong enough supply chain to meet all of the overwhelming demand. There is clearly a place for both laptops (and companies) in the laptop ecosystem, and while the M1 line of silicon is near the end of its development cycle, we really don’t know what improvements the M2 line might bring. Ultimately, whether you’re a Mac fan, PC fan, or just a fan of tech advancement, this is an exciting time for the field!
Honestly love my blade. Biggest issue is a battery bulging issue I’ve seen hardly any CZcamsr talk about. I travel maybe 6-7 time a year, game hard and work hard on my blade and after 3 years of use I’ve had to replace my battery twice now. And now my 2nd battery has started to blur. Is this a me only issue or anyone else having this?
My battery has done the same didn't know I could replace the battery just bought a new charger as old one just gave up! Will look into battery
Oh yea same, had to replace my battery twice now, it's because of too much sustained heat being exposed to the battery, mine bulged so bad I couldn't even click my trackpad at one point, really wish razer figured this out
One solution would be to place a book or something under the laptop just where the display is (and avoid blocking the air intake at the bottom).
The battery swells up because of excess heat so raising the laptop up a bit should help the fans draw in more air and cool the insides, and of course including the battery. If the battery doesn't overheat, it won't swell up and die on you.
Razer needs to do some design changes and move the air intakes from the bottom of the device to the sides where it can draw in more air and cool down the laptop properly. This way, their laptops won't be having constant battery issues.
Of course they wont talk about it , they want their free products !
I want to use this for my school, and one thing i know for sure is that i forget my charger, i'm dead.
I went with the Asus Scar Strix 2022 with I9 12900h, 3070ti, 1tb, 16gb 4800 ddr5 ram and 300hz FHD ips panel for $2,100.
it's not 16:10 so it was a no go for me...
16:10 QHD+ is a MUST after 2021
300 nits is really poor as well
Who cares
Not really
nah rather have a 17 inch or larger 16:9 qhd display. learned the hard way when i bought a lenovo legion 5 pro lol.
I hope one day they decide to make this laptops 16:10 screen ratio and use AMD. That day, I will buy one.
Zephyrus g14 2022(your welcome. hopefully)
They won't. It's a gaming laptop and for gaming 16:9 is simply better.
@@dude7289 I had the 2020 version, nice laptop, but not a big fan of the design/aesthetics. I want to use it for work as well.
@@v5k456jh3 Many gaming laptop now have 16:10 , many gamers use their computers for other things, in my case I code so a 16:10 screen is big deal, other people buy this machines for content creation and they prefer 16:10 as well.
@@carlosbarrantesb Yes you have a point, but some manufacturers like MSI and Lenovo have separate lineups for gamers and creators and they both have plenty of power.
Finally ordered this model after 3 years of dreaming of it. Had to get it from abroad because they do not sell it in my country, which is +$100 in shipping. Hoping it'll be worth it and I won't regret choosing it over Macbook Pro.
UPD: no regrets, loving it :) gets too hot sometimes tho, I guess I'll put a better thermopaste in
Do you still enjoy it?
@@LordiGodess certainly! I got used to it so no more wow effect, but it keeps doing the job beautifully
@@eugenek.5757 thank you very much for the reply
This video was one the best videos I've watched on the Razer Blade 15
Well, I have a original Razer mouse. I got it, back in the 1990’s, when I figured a gaming mouse was a great idea. Now, I have a new 15 inch laptop. Lets see if the cost is justified.
this laptop here in Brazil cost like 10k USD ( yes, for real)
Would love to see chroma razer logo one day
Before I was into cars, I was into gaming. 2k would be a fantastic device to game on. Instead 2k is long tube headers that add a minor improvement to performance 😭
Love the review!
You remind me of myself
Laptops at this price segment should have an HDMI-IN port and you should be able to just use it as a screen. That's all i'm asking for but it seems nobody will ever do it. Alienware had an HDMI-IN back in the day but that's over now for quite some time, too.
Display port amigo
I have the money, but struggling in whether buy it now or wait for next model?
i say wait for nvidia 40xx mobile and amd 7xxx series. they should be out either late this year or next year.
@@LCJammer thanks; will take good use of my 2019 Razer Blade 15
Here's hoping that the 15 gets an AMD variant!
I looked into this but hearing the frame rate drops dramatically this product from razer is really pathetic
Stick to making audio & accessories
I should have brought this instead of the MBP.
Thanks for sharing such a great ...';
They do overheat and thus throttle
It basically looks like a 2015 MacBook Pro. This was the MacBook with all the ports and speakers on top.
Fun fact; this and the MacBook are the only TWO laptops to have full-sized function keys
u alive? ^^
Funny I am looking at this myself this year
Just get the 2022 zephyrus M16
Can you turn off the logo?
You can turn off the lighting of the logo but you can't adjust the color or anything.
Mine broke a month after the warranty ended. Felt like a huge scam.
my father has a 3090rtx 3000 dollar gaming setup and he also has the razor 15 and half the time I'm with my dad he uses the laptop so I assume its nice😂😂
All this time I thought razer blade used usb c for charging... what a shame it's some random connector
No Sound?
Sound works for me.
Works fine for me🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
4:44 I too thought USB-C power is cool, until I bought a ThinkPad X13 with USB-C power, it wobbles all over the place. Horrible "update".
Everything eas good until you mentioned the charger cable blocking the usb ports
You can get a MSI laptop for a lot less with the same specs.
I would love a new Razer 15, but the design is not palatable for business work.
So basically you can't afford it and want to save face. Mmkay got it 👍
this laptop is very good at built quality
The charging adaptor design and battery does not justify the price period.
There's a lot of things I understand, but the lit up logo on the back of the screen isn't one of em. I think it's ugly, tacky and why does it need to light up... it's a 3000-4000 euro/dollar machine, why use such design features that are mainly aimed at teens?
I've had an experience of owning Razer blade 15 laptop for last 2 years and 4 months. Here's how it went
1. Within 7-8 months of purchase the L key stopped working
2. Within 1year and 5-8 months, I gradually started realizing that for some reason, my laptop is deforming! I was wondering why!!
3. Just last week, I saw that a part of the back-pane of my laptop is wide open and battery is swollen, pressurizing the back-pane.
I bought the laptop listening to these "CZcams influencers".
Learning: You decide, make mistake blame yourself. DO NOT waste time here!
Mines was $3489. First Gaming laptop. You have to use it while it's plugged up. I don't do major gaming but when I do I drin 'Dos Equis.

Dell keyboard doesn’t work
Somethings on this don't make any sense, 300 nits for this price is just stupid, also they need to have a glossy screen option cause that matte screen kills all the colors.
