Universal having some kind of rule saying the franchise can't do horror anymore is baffling; and if that even if the case they shouldn't be lacking in teeth and suspense.
Nevertheless, Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, Dev Patel, Colman Domingo, and potentially Bryan Cranston would make for a VERY interesting ensemble cast for Jurassic 7.
Unfortunately, this is the expected result of people choosing to hate on Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, which was the most horror themed Jurassic movie we ever got in the series, since that film got unfairly ripped apart by almost everyone online, Universal isn’t willing to take chances on another more horror themed Jurassic World story.
The moral of the story is, being a critic has consequences for franchises you love and sometimes, it’s better to just keep your opinions about sequels to yourselves instead of insisting on spreading your disdain for a film you did not enjoy.
@@t-rexcellentreviews1663 The critics are a litmus test for a film and they don't give the final word, but studios being so reactionary to them drowns out any semblence of a director's vision these films could have. Dominion's critcal reception set the bar EVER LOWER;and even as someone who doesn't hate the movie, its lack of animal terror, suspense and genuine scares is disappointing and something darker that utilizes Gareth Edwards' directorial talents is absolutely needed now.
These casting roles are very interesting as all I got to say hopefully they play characters who are interesting and are also likeable to the audiences.

This gets me SO HYPE! Bailey is an incredible actor (check out ‘Fellow Travelers’) and I love Dev Patel and Coleman Domingo. If this is the top four billing, I really think Jurassic is in very good and capable hands.

Jurassic world needs suspense. Not more dumb action scenes. Its turning into the fast and furious series.
1 motorbike chase scene that’s 5 minutes long in the entire franchise and suddenly it’s turning into F&F😂 🤦♂️
Not to mention a plane crash without scratch, characters submerged in fridgid water without a single sign of hypothermia. They chose quantity over quality with the last film. The best scene imo was the therazenisaurus and Clair. Suspense is what the franchise is lacking now. Not over the top action. F a f was a good series, untill it just got so overboard they were literally driving in outer space. Thats where the jw franchise is heading.

I’m not sure where you saw that Jonathan Bailey was in Fury but i don’t know if this was correct. I’m also a big fan of Fury but hadn’t heard of him either and couldn’t find him in the cast credits 🤷🏻♀️ Maybe it was only a minor role.

I don't mind the action, but what's a Jurassic movie without it's horor theme? The only reason why I watch these jurassic movies is because I want the dinosaurs to be every bit as scary, dark 'en gritty & grounded as they were in the first two park films. Without those elements, it's just an overly exhagerated Dinotopia style movie, or another Dominion story😞... Gee, I might just take a pass on JP7 afterall. I didn't think I would, but this isn't the type of film I was really hoping for. This sucks😮💨...

Swrve, I just cannot agree with you when said the franchise is lacking action 😂 I think it has A SHIT TON of action and needs more Dinosaur lore plots. The world trilogy introduced a decent amount of action yes and I loved it, but I think more action will only spoil the idea of JP to begin with. I don’t want it to be about humans saving dinosaurs. I want it to be about dinosaurs being an actual threat🙏 Hope they make the new characters dwell into the “doomsday clock might be about outta time” plot… maybe. Fingers crossed for Johansson fitting in nicely 🤞
