People who are supporting Leitch clearly don't know what the franchise is about. Remember, Jurassic is a 'Sci-Fi' film and not an 'Action film'.
It's an Sci-Fi Action Adventure franchise.
Hobbs and Shaw was a sh*t show, that style movie is the last thing Jurassic needs, we still waiting for a grounded Jurassic movie with the same quality as JP1 and JP2,
JP4 was a good come back film for the franchise but it was followed by 2 disappointing movies .
We need a movie with quality like Godzilla minus one
I wonder what movie you saw
Why don't you direct the movie then? You clearly do make yourself sound like the best sci-fi movie director that has ever graced the earth with his divine presence.
@@muzafarkhokhar1939 jeez, I'm not tryna say that David Leitch is a bad director. What I am trying to say is that for a "Sci-Fi" Film he is not the best choice. It would be as if Quentin Tarantino were to direct a Mission impossible film. And as for your question, if given the opportunity I would love to direct a new Jurassic film. Oh and please do let me know what part of my previous comment makes me sound like the "best sci-fi movie director that has ever graced the earth with his divine presence". And if you are defending this franchise in it's current state, man then you clearly don't know anything about it.
They wasted the OG trio in Dominion. Loved it when I first saw it in theaters but then watched it at home in awe about how bad it was smh. I watch it only for the OG trio 💯
JA Bayona would be an extremely welcome return for me. Love it or hate it, he directed the absolute hell out of Fallen Kingdom
with a better script, he could make a great Jurassic movie for sure. Fallen Kingdom's weakness was its sloppy plot. and I don't think he had much saying in it
Fallen Kingdom is The Last Jedi of the JP franchise: utter garbage.
@@MarioLanzas.Better script and no producer interfering. All of his other movies - including the newest, "Snow Society" are very good. It's only "Fallen Kingdom" that is something worse. And NOT because of the director.
I agree! Fallen Kingdom was the most atmospheric, and most aesthetically pleasing of the the World Trilogy. The cinematography, scenery, dinosaur designs and battles were epic. JW1 and 3 were absolutely emotionless, flat and...trying too hard to be new-age, woke, cool or whatever the heck kids call it nowadays. :P
@@thescorchingpteranodon7986 both underrated
Personally, I would’ve love to see Matt Reeves and maybe even Peter Jackson direct the next movie
Matt is busy with The Batman Part II anyway.
They're not going to get BIG name directors like that for the 7th movie in a series, c'mon now.
Peter Jackson is a good choice but not Matt reeves because I thought the Batman movie he made was kind of boring and didn’t have a lot of action
Peter Jackson will direct Jurassic 7
I actually enjoyed Deadpool 2 and Bullet Train, even though they were action/comedies. He proven himself as making some decent, fun movies, so I'll give him a chance if he signs on. Like you, I hope that he knows and respects and the legacy of this awesome franchise, and gives us a movie worthy of the Jurassic name!!
John Wick, Hobbs and Shaw, and Deadpool 2 are my favorite films that he did. Maybe the fight scenes could be between the dinosaurs
Who cares man. If it ain't Site B, it ain't it.
I think as much as a garbage "Dominion" was, the Malta scenes and the illegal market subplot was not bad. Maybe the next movie will focus on these aspects? I miss horror though :(
@@HerrCohonez for me that was the worst part of the movie. The part where suddenly Owen acts like a spy, looking for the bad guys on the roof is ridiculous. A Jurassic Park movie should all be about building up tension and horror and releasing that tension with awe-inspiring moments.
The Malta dinosaur black market was a great way to show how humans are mistreating the dinosaurs and other prehistoric life now that they are everywhere.
Think we need a film set between Jurassic Park and Jurassic World creating the park, as JW does ignore LW and JP3.
We all wanted to hear a big name like even Steven Spielberg himself to return. But as I heard Leitch is zeroed on to direct the next Jurassic, I was honestly relieved. Everyone is looking at his action resume but please take a closer look at Bullet Train. The movie is goofy, yes but extremely dialogue driven and has impeccable chemistry between the cast altogether. Take Aaron Taylor Johnson and Brian Tyree Henry as "Lemon and Tangerine". These both alone were just a joy to watch.
With Koepp's script as groundwork, I'm confident that Leitch can deliver a good mixture of cast chemistry, which honestly the World parts kinda lacked, and state of the art action set pieces.
This is going to be a frickin awesome movie!
David Leitch knowss gow to direct action movies, making the fight scenes more grounded and realistic.😊
The problem is Jurassic Park/World shouldn’t rely on action and fights. I am personally tired of seeing dinosaurs fighting against each other, let alone seeing more fights between human characters. I think they really want to turn this franchise into F&F.
Who the fk cares about action scenes? The original Jurassic Park was never about that.
Universal, I *_really_* hope you're watching this.
Personally, Bryce Dallas Howard herself was _my_ directorial pic. _BUT,_ I'm going to *reserve judgment* because the possibility does exist that David Leitch could surprise us all. The release date, not gonna lie, has _me_ scratching my head, too.
The thing is: you don’t hire a director whose resume consists of only action movies to make a new installment of the Jurassic Park series. That’s the problem. They could’ve hired literally everybody else. James Mangold, Gareth Edwards, heck, even Joe Johnston at this point, but certainly not someone whose experience is totally based on action.
@@marcoleone393 I understand your point (😉). Hence why this is making me _more_ cautious about this.
Legit the only film franchise I still Care about from my childhood.
Jurassic World is the future of the franchise. That isn't going to change whether we like it or not.
I personally do prefer Jurassic Park and The Lost World but that era of Jurassic has been long gone since 2001.
I've accepted that and have embraced and enjoy the Jurassic World era even though they are inferior to Jurassic Park and The Lost World.
Why would you just accept that? Do you also accept housing prices increasing 50% every year?
So have I get this straight - they are yet to concive him to direct their movie, yet they eager to announce premiere date? What could possibly go wrong?
100% agree. Going for an action director like Lietch is a business decision, but from a business perspective it makes sense. If the direction they’ve gone with has made them billions of dollars, why would they want to change that?
I wish everyone on the creative team the best, but having seen some of Lietch’s precious films I can’t deny he isn’t the sort of director I was hoping for.
Horror director is all needed
You took the words right out of my mouth. Thank you so much for sharing this point of view.
I agree 100%
Was really hoping they would take a step back from action and focus on tension and horror like the JP movies.
I hope Leitch steps it up. The JW movies aren’t JP. JP is JP. TLW is JP. Look to those.
Jurassic world 4 was here before GTA 6 😂😂😂😂😂
I don't have a good feeling about this... I hope Mr. Leitch will surprise us in a positive way. My wish for the new film is to see the Spinosaurus, Lex and Tim Murphy and Isla Sorna some how.
Jurassic Park put us in awe of the dinosaurs. "World" failed to give that sense of awe. The only person able to bring back that awe factor in the franchise would be Jon Favreau. But. as luck would have it, we'll have another Dominion style action flick with dinosaurs as secondary characters.
Wasn't someone I was expecting but he's directed some great films so I'm optimistic
Can’t wait! 🦖
I dunno, im not really for Action Jurassic Park, i think we need to go back to horror JP, Suspense Jp ya know?
I wonder if Guillermo del Toro should direct the next Jurassic world movie ?
If they butcher this movie I feel like that'll be the end of the Jurassic movies. Don't beat a dead horse.
At this point let them do that. At least that will be the end of it once and for all.
@marcoleone393 don't get me wrong I'm all for a fresh take on the franchise but I was not impressed with how the Jurassic World trilogy did and its left a sour taste in my mouth.
I’m so excited to see the next Jurassic World movie next year. I’ll read the novels this year and next year.
All the problems of the jurassic world movies were due to the script! I will be relieved when I hear about the script.
I dont really know how i feel about this choice of director. Its a strange combination considering we know the writers. Assuming the script is typical to jp1 and jp two i wpuld have liked so see someone like Wes ball or Matt Reeves
At this point we have to assume that the script is just another action shitshow.
I'll keep my full thoughts reserved for the interviews and trailers, but if this is yet another crappy F&F action-styled Jurassic film, I'm mentally checking out. I can live with JP and TLW.
Part of my concern is that a lot of his movies are comedy heavy (which the JW movies tried & failed hard to be).
Oh boy... the transition of Jurassic World into Fast and the Furious/ Marvel Superhero style would be complete in 2025.
They haven't even locked in a director or even begun shooting I fear 2025 is a bit early and the film will be rushed
6:52-6:56 the opposite of the World films
They should have
Mark Burg and Oren Koules
the producers from
The Saw Movies franchise. They can bring back the horror scenes and ingenuity of dinosaurs attack scenes
This is going to be interesting and exciting
I don’t think the movie is really rushed, the script has been worked on for months now, and is is final stages, if they film in May, they should finish filming by September/October, giving post production a little under a year to edit and make the cgi look good, but I don’t think it’s rushed, also David Leitch is also a people pleaser, he knows what to deliver with each film he does, so if things go wrong, I won’t blame him, I’ll blame the studio,
I really think my favoured pick for director would have been Bryce Dallas Howard. She has shown great aptitude behind the camera in The Mandolorian and The Book Of Boba Fett, and if she isn't up for returning in front of the camera, she at least has the familiarity with the Jurassic franchise to transition seamlessly to a behind the scenes role.
For instance, her first episode of The Mandalorian features a Seven Samurai-like feudal village going up against an AT-ST, and she made that vehicle look towering and imposing, an impossible foe. That kind of film making, with the AT-ST swapped out for a large therapod? Incredible stuff.
This sounds like it’s gonna be the same jurassic world dogshit we’ve gotten before. I hope I’m wrong but it’s not sounding good.
Thanks for the video!! See you later!! Stay safe.
Thanks, you too!
I want them to cast Milo Ventimiglia & Amanda Seyfried to replace Chris Pratt & Bryce Dallas Howard as the new main leads! Plus, I think they should delay the release date to the summer of 2026, that way the movie isn’t rushed!
Karen Smith in the Jurassic Universe 🤩
Tell em Jack
He directed Deadpool 2 which was AWESOME FILM!! If he does as good in this film as that film, I am down :D
Its all up to the Koepp screenplay.
@@Dinoslay Koepp is writing what the studio told him to do. If Universal wants a goofy action movie a la Fast and Furious, that is what David Koepp will provide. With this announcement, I think they already went down this route.
This is brilliant… now everybody’s expectations are low, even if the movie is mediocre it will be a hit. If I’ve learned anything from the creators of Jurassic World they are more brilliant than they seem just research the lore.
The announcement of Koepp had me cautiously exited, but this news worries me. It might be possible after all to have a JW film worse than Dominion… still glad the franchise isn’t left for dead though
Why not get someone who’s capable of making a thriller drama than a guy who mostly focuses on action……it’s as if they’re ashamed of its legacy…
Danny Boyle would be a good choice. I was hoping for someone like Alexandre Aja or David Buckner. I really don’t want an action director doing this.
At least David Robert Mitchell has a dinosaur movie coming.
Hopefully it's good
I think I will be good I'm hopping a more bloody Jurassic more full on like jaws I think that's what is coming !
i would have loved Chris Patt and everybody else in Jurrasic world Dominon to keep going it truley broke my heart to know other people will be in there roles and it will not feel the same in my opinion.
How come the cast hasn´t been announced yet? 🤔🤔
They need remake Jurassic Park with rated R following a novel
It's a prequel to John wick and set just after the lost world. The dog the buck rex ate belonged to John wick and now he's after the buck
One thing that Lowery Cruthers said in Jurassic World has kinda stuck to me since the start of Jurassic World. "I know. It was terrible. I mean, I know a lot of people died, but, that first park was just legit, you know? They didn't rely on all these genetic hybrids. They had real dinosaurs." Basically my point of this bringing this up is Jurassic Park during it's time it was everything what the franchise should of been and by all means I'm not saying there shouldn't of been sequels I love the whole series by a landslide. However when Jurassic World happened or rather when Jurassic Park 2 and 3 somewhere along the line lost its majesty of what it could of really been. The need however for new technology the need for more scary the need for anything superficial to progress the series as rushed as it's been, it really needs a new direction to lead back to that same majesty as what the first movie was somehow. I honestly kinda worry about the future of the 4th Jurassic world unless it's not even gonna be called world or park anymore only time will tell but they need to really fix this story cause it is a bit all over the place. Always loved this movie franchise since seeing the very first movie in theaters ever but I just hope this 4th world or 7th movie which ever you prefer, does not create all the same mistakes. Dinosaurs are scary as it is by itself we don't need hybrids to prove it. Plus how there's no return of the Spinosaurus or no return of certain characters like Kelly from the 2nd movie all of this has to be considered for this one big movie they plan. The only thing I can honestly see right now that could potentially save this series is a potential prequel explaining all of the past events explained that was left unexplained filling in the gaps of what was left out in the series like example how did Dodgson get that can of shaving cream? I know it was adapted in Camp Cretaceous but I think that says something that people want to know is what are all the missing bits of information that lead up to where we are currently plus how does that fit into this 7th movie? Let's all hopefully cross our fingers and hope we get something great out of this change of director/pace and we aren't being lead into another rock between a hard place in lost story details.
I love the Jurassic World Trilogy, but I was really hoping for something more grounded with this film. My Choices for the film would have been Rob Savage (The Boogeyman 2023) or Brian Duffield (No One Will Save You)
PLS cover Jeff Sneider's behind the scenes insider leaks on the movie, he just put up his article tonight for $1. Apparently much drama behind the scenes on this project regarding director choices and franchise plans.
I'm waiting for Sam Neill to return as Alan Grant, I think he didn't fully express himself in Dominion, this is my favorite character. And all the other actors can be different, I accept that
He has worked on some good action movies so I hope this Jurassic movies has good kills become dominion didn’t
I just enjoy the movies because I love dinosaurs, be it science or action, no one else is coming out with dinosaur movies. I'd watch any movie with dinosaurs, Jurassic or not, I'd play any game with dinosaurs.
Even if the movies suck, Dinosaurs are still the one thing that gives me a sense of wonder and fills me with excitement.
So no matter what, I will be there.
I Hope Simon Franglen Will To Compose Jurassic World 4 😁
Personally I want jack from the Ingeneral Podcast to direct the next movie, Chris likes lying to produce and Asees to tel them how bad their film is compared to JP3
I’m interested mainly because of his work on John wick
As long as its scarier like the first 2 movies, Im ok with it
I really hope Owen Claire and Maisie will be in the next Jurassic world movie
I would love ja bayona to come back love it or hate it I really liked fallen kingdom.
Good choice
The use of the word “action” in Universal’s statements make me feel really uncomfortable
THIS MOVIE MUST BE ABOUT SITE B FOR FUCKS SAKES. IF IT ISN'T I AM GONNA BE MEGA PISSED OFF.
I’m worried about the future guy
I would like to see a movie smaller in scope (I don't need to follow several points in the planet) and more sci-fi/horror driven. I need more JP kitchen tension build-up scenes and not dino-chase like the Malta scenes in Dominion. I want to feel fear and tension, not thrill. I can only hope that Koepp's choice indicates that intention, regardless of the director attached to the project.
This so epic
Nothing against David Leitch, but he is not the right director for such a film. Maybe Bryce Dallas Howard would be a good choice as a director. We need suspense, horror, practical effects, better CGI and a good story with interesting charakters.
Please introduce more ice age mammals, bioluminescent dinosaurs, and new hybrids both herbivore and carnivore for the 7th Jurassic Movie.🙏🙏🙏😇
Lad. Site B has been so closed on. They've got to fill that big ass gap before moving forward. That island has more secrets and stuff than most think.
The special effects from Dominion were pretty bad. It was a testament that is not just about animatronics being better than CG but more like the level of artistry behind the people who work in the effects. There is a big difference between a very good artist and an Elite artist, for sure.
I mean, we can’t complain but I really hope it doesn’t turn into dinosaurs chasing cars and not a movie where the dinosaurs are roaming the earth we need something isolated again and more gore these movies shouldn’t be for kids neither
While David Leitch can be an odd choice, most of his movies are enjoyable popcorn flicks to watch atleast once and that is fine with me when compared to the previous director.
damn no chris prat or bryce dallas gonna feel pretty weird especially with blues new baby and all
Danny Boyle would be great as it goes.
It suddenly clicked!
@@JurassicOutpost David Leitch will NOT Direct Jurassic park 7 news just broke
Will Chris Pratt be in this movie and is Rexy the T rex returning back to the movie.
Im hoping its stripped down I mean the close release date screams horror movie time frame
Jurassic World 4 Release Date July 2 2025
This Leitch guy is gonna really have to lock in on Koepp's writing so hopefully i pray to lord, we can have less action more suspense. all i ask for is SITE B to please make a return in someway shape or form.
What many of you still don’t get is that David Koepp is not a quality assurance. If the studio wants more action packed movies, Koepp will give them an action packed script. That’s the way it is.
Stop acting like he’s the custodian of the true essence of the franchise just because he penned the first two movies. He’s not. Michael Crichton was. Koepp’s just a writer at the service of the studio.
Hi
Wello
Welp that directors a massive red flag 😑
Nah, this is the wrong guy for the job. You need a Sci-Fi director for a real Jurassic movie.
Finally, someone else directs. Possibly.
I kind of want a new director to remake the last movie. It left a bad taste in our mouths.
Speak for yourself. Also, Trevorrow only directed two films so idk what you're complaining about
@@andrewsampson2281Dominion was bad. It’s best to forget the original and restart.
in your opinion@@DryptosaurusDavid. I loved dominion and everything Jurassic has done so far.
I actually like Dominion
@@calebprescott440good for you
David Leitch...? What kind of a name is that? Where in the sam-heck do they find these people at?
Now, I don't know enough about this guy to decide if I'm going to like him as a film director for this new Jurassic film, but somehow, I just feel like he isn't the tried & true blue director that'll deliver us the same grounded, dark & gritty level of story telling that the first two park films had going for 'em. Hopefully I'm wrong about Leitch, but I've been let down by new movie directors before.
I just hate it when they bring in the unknown. I mean, we could have gotten J.A. Bayona, Bryce Dallas Howard, oh heck, even Steven Speilberg could have been chosen to direct the latest upcoming installment, but no... we had to get another new guy, a hopeful who's wanting to add his own kind of stank onto our beloved movie franchise. While I don't know enough to determine myself on how good he really is, with so much potential that they have on making this latest film really great, I would want somebody who's already worked with the franchise before, who actually knows how the Jurassic universe works. I just think it's too big a risk to bring in an outsider to direct a newer film at this point in time right now, which has been running with the idea that Koepp is going to turn this post Dominion garbage around & save the Jurassic franchise.
Oh well... I guess if it works out, then great. If it does, I'll support Leitch until he gives me a reason not to. On the other hand, if he goofs this one up too, I'll just stop watching these newer films & I'll drop the ever expanding franchise like a bad habit, just like how I gave up on Camp Cretaceous around seasons 4 & 5. 'Cause for me, there's no point in watching 'em if they're gonna turn out to be silly & become a real let down, such as JP3 & Dominion. If they aren't as grounded, gritty & dark as the first two park films, then why would I wanna watch the newer instalments? It better be good Leitch & Universal. That's all I can say now: it better be good.
As long as they stay far far 65 million years far away from the jp4 human dino hybrids. I'll take one scene with a dino in the whole movie before I want hybrid soldiers.
Man, I was so disappointed by all the Jurassic World movies, they feel so inauthentic, even the old actors coming back didnt make a difference to me. And I had looked forward to that over 20 years, it was in the end very anticlimactic. I want a more philosophical and authentic Jurassic Park, like the first one. Us humans should just pretend the Jurassic World series never happened, it was all a fever dream.
Please just let it die. The JW movies were utter garbage.
Just make a 18+ horror TV show based on the book, that is what we want. And for once have dinosaurs look like actual dinosaurs and not biledal skinny lizards with a salamander's face.
One thing i know, doesn't get any worse than the last one, that's for sure.
it was always going to be an action first blockbuster movie. the jurassic world movies made billions, why would they change the formula? the execs unfortunately value commercial success over critic success. until they see continued dips in revenue, these movies will be action heavy with a dumb plot.
Hold on hear me out, how perfect would it have been for Jordan Peele to be the director?
Honestly couldn’t have said it any better. This ain’t it bro
No. I don't want to see new movies every other year. I prefer a new movie EVERY year lol
im the 15th comment :)
The latest 3 installments were so bad. Didn't feel like Jurassic park at all
can we have the rock in the franchise
No, but thanks for asking
Yeah no.
Jurassic World trilogy was awful
