- “Nye bevan” from @david_austin_roses The one and only release for 2021
A small and upright Rose reaching around 3 1/2 feet tall and around 3 feet wide making it perfect for squeezing into a small space,
Filming this review has been difficult the bloom Life on this plant is the shortest I have ever experienced each Bloom only ever lasting around 24 hours
That said I have never grown arose with such a fast and continuous repeat that each bloom a shatter and drop is petals in a very short space of time they are produced prolifically for weeks and weeks on end
Exceedingly pale yellow with notes of copper and brass the petals are heart shaped and resemble bunny ears tinged with peach and apricot
The fragrance is spicy and warm full of mirth it really is pleasant,

Lovely
Well I just bought this one yesterday and planted it today.... Reminded me of Roald Dahl so I planted it in an area that only gets 3-4 hours of direct sun. Hopefully that was not a mistake. Otherwise it'll probably go into a pot. Love that it had a lot of blooms.
I just planted him last month bare root and he is coming along very well. Just loved the soft yellow color. It is in front of a bedroom window.
Vero e speziato il profumo
Hi Ben. Great review. I love this rose. I bought it mainly as I am a nurse and I thought it was a fitting tribute to all the years I have worked in the NHS. Well I was delighted when I realised that it was fragrant and it bloomed pretty much continuously in its first season. I agree the blooms don’t last long but they really are perfect otherwise 😍
Really glad you enjoy it 💚
What a beautiful rose. If it would hold it's bloom longer, it would be one I would want for sure.
Very pretty bloom.
Have not heard of it in Australia.
Thank you Ben.
I’m sure it will be available to the world wide market soon
Hi! Thank you for your videos and for sharing your knowledge :) I would appreciatte a piece of advice ;) I love roses but I have several problems to cultivate them, because I am visually impaired and it is difficulty for me to treat the plants with chemicals all the time, and look for diseases on them, because I usually do not see them :) In your opinion, what is the David Austin variety which is more resistant to diseases and easy to take care of? I was thinking about Mayflower or her sister Susan Williams, Olivia or Road Dahl. If you have more suggestions why will be appreciated :) In addition, I live in Spain, in a region quite dry and warm. The variety shoudl be quite resistant to these conditions as well :) Thank you very much for your support! All the bes ,
Have you seen my “best for disease resistants collection? Both mayflower and Susan Ellis Williams are on the list
Why on earth would you buy a plant that needs spraying with chemicals? Why kill wildlife? You should buy roses suitable for your area and never ever spray. I have 32 roses in a tiny wet english garden and have never sprayed once in 20 years. Don’t be selfish.
Ben, can you suggest a small to medium-size bush nearly identical in color to Wollerton Old Hall climbing rose? Nigh Bevins is a bit too yellow, and Roald Dahl is a bit too dark apricot.
I need that very beautiful, clean pale cream of WOH in a bush form. I thought tranquility would be perfect in color, but it sounds like it doesn’t bloom prolifically. I need a heavy bloomer if at all possible. Any suggestions?
Hi I’m not sure what’s lead you to believe Tranquility isn’t a work house it’s a trooper ranked No 12 in my top 20, Wollerton old hall dosent rank at all and Roald Dahl is at no 18 if you live outside the U.K. you may still be able to buy Jude the obscure that’s the closest you will find
@@the_gardenerben Apologies! I meant to say Lichfield Angel. Is it true that it doesn’t produce as much as Tranquillity? Thank you for your help. Much appreciated!
@@krysty-an6434 LA usually has 2 distinctive flushes Tranquility will bloom continuously
Pointless video as too dark to see rose.
Turn the brightness up.
