If you are thinking about it... just do it.
No more points or questionable charging.
The blue wire is an extension I made for the Neutral Switch so it could run with the rest of the harness.

What purpose does the Woodruff key serve now?
It still keeps the rotor from spinning on the shaft.
how's she running now? Did you have issues with the regulator and not having it grounded to the chassis?
Runs good. Haven't noticed any issues. Hoping to get it out some once it warms up a bit.

@@boonacka Not many, maybe 20-30. I wasn't able to get it out last summer very often.
@@i2edeye ah ok. I would suggest you try to mount the regulator directly on the chassis/frame somewhere or run some really good grounds to the bare backside of the regulator. I had this issue with mine where I had it mounted similar to yours but the ground wasn’t good enough and eventually killed the regulator.
