Since I was I was a kid I always new there was something special about Todd. He's truly brilliant. He's contributed so much to the music world and influenced so many artists! This man has always been a great Dad to Liv too... according to her!!
I first heard Todd in Philadelphia in 1972 on the great radio station WMMR . Later in 1973 moved to Florida , bought the Something / Anything 8 -track and played it on my way to work at Disney each day .
I saw Todd in Washington D.C. in the 70's however I was living the glitter glam rock life when a Wizard True Store opened upy mind and soul. Loved you then and more now than ever before . Keep Rocking Todd. You are truly beautiful ❤️...
from the beginning Todd has been part of my musical education. when i need to correct a chord shape or develop a musical idea i reference him. lucky to have seen so many shows since 1974, and know his albums. thankyou TODD.
A personal favorite for over 50 years, a giant. I love all his LPs but can listen to 'Something/Anything' or 'The Ballad of Todd Rundgren' on repeat all day. Long overdue recognition! Who's in charge of R&R HOF?

All Todd's fans should give themselves a huge pat on the back for being so persistent in our insistence that the great man be in the R&R HOF. Many think, Todd included, that the votes don't count and I certainly can see why they say that. But I also believe that he'd have never gotten in without them.This is his fan's victory as much as it is his. Great job you Runts !!
I have never once been disappointed by TR. Have been a "faithful" fan since damn near the beginning, going on 52 years (I got to The Nazz 2 years late, but hey, I got there...). Thanks for posting this. It has made my New Year's Day morning.

Very meaningful that Patti Smith inducted him, given his admitted cringeworthy sexism towards her. Obviously all has been forgiven, and she knocked it out of the park. Nothing cements his independent, eccentric genius status more than the brief nod they've given here -- the literal least they could do.
LONG LONG OVERDUE....Was kind of nice getting more snippets of his career and songs...Than some long winded Thank You's that really most people attending and watching don't give a hoot about.. Rundgren is still kind of an underground 💎 gem, and us Rundgrenites like it that way.... Shining Still😉

Thank you for posting the full video. I just watched the same on HBO and they cut this down in half. They also cut out the audience cheering. Lesser influential acts got twice as much airtime. Not cool.
I doubt the RRHoF will ever publicize this video. TR was unbothered by his decades-late nomination, only spoke about it in terms of being happy on behalf of his fans, and skipped the ceremony in favor of a relatively nearby concert he could have easily re-scheduled. In other words: 100% appropriate and on-brand for the inimitable Todd Rundgren. Thank you for the years of music, Todd. (Thanks, too, for posting this, Thom! Might be our only chance to see it!)
They posted an edited version of the video on the RRHOF channel. I was happy to represent Rundgren Nation at the ceremony, and was able to see one of the final performances of Taylor Hawkins.
