    I need to make a 5' long step stool, 8" wide and 5" tall. Any ideas, maybe a video? Thanks

      Tony A. The same materials here would work. Your proposed stool is roughly the same height but wider. If you’re worried about flex you could either add a central leg or cut a groove down the centre of the underside and glue in a metal bar to reduce this. At 5” tall shear shouldn’t be much of a problem.
