A how-to guide to building your own chisel rack for around £3. Please comment, like, subscribe, and share! For more of my films, see goo.gl/qhHqSw This is the fourth Decomid woodworking film. Filmed on an old Canon 550D with Pentax SMC 28mm f2.8 Lens. This is a simple build using mainly the table saw and glue. I was experimenting with this, it's really very rough-and-ready close up as it is a p...
Cheap Console Table Build - Decomid Woodworking #3
zhlédnutí 225Před 7 lety
Low-cost build of a console table suitable for a hallway or dining room - all in this cost around £40. See my other films at goo.gl/lOzF2A This piece is mostly made from redwood, with oak accents. Much of the dimensioning of the lumber was one using my table saw, an Axminster TS250 - not the greatest but it does the job for me. This was then smoothed by hand using planes and sanding as necessar...
Bench Chute Build - Decomid Woodworking #2
zhlédnutí 90Před 8 lety
Building of a rough-and-ready chute to neatly dispose of bench-top waste. See my other films at goo.gl/lOzF2A This was a build for necessity's sake, as the floor of workshop gets far too dusty and covered in shavings for my liking. I've used no nails or screws to hold this project together #TrustGlue apart from to hold the piano hinge, and secure the carcass to the bench. This is a sequel to my...
Waste Paper Bin Build - Decomid Woodworking #1
zhlédnutí 5KPřed 8 lety
A simple build from pallet wood and some spare redwood I had around from another project. See my other films at goo.gl/lOzF2A No really fancy tools needed, just a table saw, plane, sander, and glue! If you have the skills and no power tools, the table saw and sander could be replaced by a hand saw, hand plane, and hand sanding. Check out my other films! czcams.com/video/krfuQbyafGM/video.html c...

zhlédnutí 1,2KPřed 10 lety
New Cobra replica review. Adam Wilkins delivers his verdict on the XCS 427, a sports car powered by a 600bhp supercharged Chevy LS3 V8 engine. Under the skin is some surprisingly advanced suspension. 0:41 This car was owned by my mate and old neighbour. In answer to the comments it was hugely powerful and immensely quick for its day. That year at Le Mans we took so many scalps of supercars it was hilarious. The engine had different supercharger pulleys and intercoolers etc. To this day one of the best sleeper cars I've ever had the fun in driving. This car really was a guided missile....such fond merories of it.
nice lancia stratos replicar!
I recommend Woodprix to every beginner and not only.
Wonderful video. Question: What is car no. 88 @9:03 ?
BlueStreaxxx Really sorry, it’s been 9 years and I cannot find the programme not any published results online. I think it could be a GN Fraser Nash of some sort but don’t hold me to that.

Hawk.
Exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!
What kind of shoe did you record that with
Nice, quick tutorial (I just LOVE short & to the point videos). Also liked your chirpy & perky speaking style. Have subscribed.
Updates on the planter?
ihatedbyy0ui It lives on attached to the wall outside my back door. Seems unexpectedly sturdy!
Well done you paint the wheel light gold that s the way it should be. Some replica they have white or red which I find silly .
I need to make a 5' long step stool, 8" wide and 5" tall. Any ideas, maybe a video? Thanks
Tony A. The same materials here would work. Your proposed stool is roughly the same height but wider. If you’re worried about flex you could either add a central leg or cut a groove down the centre of the underside and glue in a metal bar to reduce this. At 5” tall shear shouldn’t be much of a problem.
Would be cool......with a Ford Coyote 5.0 V-8 at 7500 rpm.
And here I thought my shop was a mess. 😆
Looks good. Probably a little more tedious/meticulous than I would have done for sure. But your's would be probably hold up better over time than mine would also so well done.
What was the angle
ImRan James around 3° for the long sides. Good luck!
Not sure it was ever made to be driven in uk... i mean driving it on the right seat...
é fintaaaa non è la Stratos...
"Detail deception continues..."?!! Deception? It's not fooling anyone really. The Lancia Stratos was never made in RHD. The Hawk is a great kit car and arguably better finished than the real McCoy, but to deceive anyone start off by ordering yourself a left-hooker.
marklima74 agreed if by that u mean left side drive. I dont think it was ever produced with a right side driver seat
That's just nickpicing.
Cosa c'è sotto il cofano?
Alfa Romeo 3.0 V6 da una 164...
hello excellent video, could you tell me in which angle you cut the pieces
Enrique Alvarez Romo Hi, the sides are cut at around 3°. Everything else is relative. Hope this helps!
Thanks
Engine sounds Very Very Very Very. .. tooooooooooo much different! !!
The Busso V6 is possibly the best sounding V6 ever made, but it sounds a little bit too civilized for the Stratos. The original Ferrari V6 sound was MEAN.
I think the exhaust is just not good on that car, a busso can sound MUCH better..
The engine is a V6?
Lucas Martínez Parra Yes, the 3.0 litre Alfa unit.
Piers Cooper Sounds nice!
its a straight six actually, judging by the view of the engine
The original had a Ferrari Dino V6.
that's the air-box on top, the 6 chrome pipes lead down into the center of the "V". You can see one of the heads on the right.
Devastating... that brightened my morning up. I was going to build one of these for my 'mid-life crisis' next year (50th), however my eyesight went bad, not allowed to drive anymore, so that's the end of that.
Sorry to hear that. Glad the film made you smile, though!
somebodyelseuk happy 50th birthday though
All the best!
Awesome build! I am with you on the hand plane - I have no real skill, but I get by. I also agree with your glue up statement - very satisfying!
Thanks! I'm slowly learning the hand tools, easier now I can get them really sharp. Glueing is soothing! 😊
Good Job Man! Keep it up
Cheers!
Cheers!
What looked like perhaps more than one MG TC racing there brings back a lot of nostalgia for me. Thanks.
very nicely made video! thanks for sharing
Question:where is Cadwell Park?
It's just North of Horncastle in Lincolnshire.
Thank you for allowing us to feast our eyes and our imaginations on these wonderful cars of yesteryear.Seldom have I ever seen such a collection of such machines in one clip.Once more, thank you!
Thanks!
Thanks. It was a Skywatcher 127 Mak and 32mm eyepiece. This was filmed on my then phone, a Galaxy II.
Great view, which telescope and eye pieces are you using?
How does this compare to the Lister Bell STR?
My understanding is they are very similar, although I think the Hawk has a lower price-tag.
LB is slightly more authentic - steering wheel on he left
@@keyboarddancers7751 Hawk can do steering wheel on the left as well. Hawk body panels are actually identical to the original's, because Hawk bought the original moulds. LB looks very convincing too - I imagine they used some type of modern technology to get near identical body shape. LB was meant to be more modern engineering-wise while Hawk is a recreation of the original.
That car make me fuckin crazy... I love it.
ZER0GAS What a lovely job you did guys.
At the :23 second mark, what car is that?
+MrGtownjake I think it's a Cooper of some sort. It has Cooper 500 wheels.
Love to see that they are not all spit and polish, these cars were meant to be driven!
@molinobeer There are two, both GN Specials. I think the one you're referring to is the Wasp. The other is Thunderbug!
Thanks!
What is the name of the yellow striped car?
Impressive.
Alguna vez en mi vida quisiera hacer una réplica tan buena como esa. Impresionante trabajo.
Hi Paolo. Sadly, it would appear you are right, and that the car would be seized under Italian laws, sorry.
it can be possible buy that and ride in italy? i know our damn governament call that car like pontiac fiero kitcar... so... police take it... :( i hope it is not the same
not cool
I WILL OWN THIS KIT (as soon as the 'ol man takes a dirt-nap & i get my inheritance). I will relish ordering the COMPLETE kit minus tires, battery & fluids, and building it in a matter befitting James May. Wife already gave her approval. :) Thanks for the review!
i feel you brother
is hawk cars still open?
Yup. Good web site too.
@@bicyclist2 good website? that was sarcastic right... its the worst Ive seen...
