- Have you ever met a famous person? đšâđ€
I met Joel once from For King and Country.
They are one of my favorite bands and I really look up to them as musicians.
I talked to him for 1 minute after a concert.
What struck me afterwards was how flustered I had felt.
It's not a feeling I normally experience.
A couple years ago, I was sitting at Panera Bread working.
I heard a reporter interviewing a man, who I gathered from the conversation, was running for US Senator.
Somehow, I interjected something into the conversation.
He ended up talking to me for 30 minutes.
I was not flustered.
They were both just humans.
Like me.
More important, more limelit people.
And people just the same.
But God, who is more important than any person ever could be, sees me.
"What is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?"
- Psalm 8:4
He sees me even when no one else does.
He knows me.
He cares for me.
I'm on sabbatical this week, so my posts are publishing automatically.
But I promised myself I'd post every Monday and Wednesday this year, so I didn't want to miss one.
Remember, we're all just people.
Doing our best.
Sometimes at our worst.
#JustPeople.
