The natural risks, inherent in a natural, non manmade jungle, forrest, or desert environment, has been known to represent great risk of immanent serious bodily injury or death, resulting from harsh climate, competition from other humans & animals, for food, water & shelter, & from disease & serious injuries or death from naturally hazardous terrain. Even with modern man’s amenities, which have caused man to become averse to spartan conditions, generally, & to become alienated from a lifestyle of hunter-gatherer, or even, of a farming existence, that would sustain oneself, living a life of “convenience” & for some, a life of luxury, can be a red flag for becoming victims of nature, & not being able to adapt to catastrophic events. Wild animals, subject to the food chain & that can be observed to endure a harsh existence(though often appearing tranquil), are no different from human existence. We are insulated, most of us, from lions & tigers, for example, or not so effectively protected from other predatory humans, but such artificial societal protection, still fails in the end to protect us from the ravages of death, by bacteria & viruses, & who-knows-what other hostile, unseen entities, that abound! As Sally Fields or some other actress, naively( but joyously admirable) exclaimed, “Why can’t we all just get along?”
I lost my mum in February 2021. On my birthday in 2023 April 29 - I was sitting in the garden and it was cold and grey. I was thinking of my mum and how I wasn’t there when she passed. Suddenly the sun came out and a tiny blue butterfly landed by my foot. It was beautiful and I had never seen one like it before. I knew it was from her.
And what's amazing it's not what you see from the butterfly but the feelings you get when it passed on into your soul can you imagine the excitement from your mother on the other side when she realized she made a connection with you

It's just that many people limit their beliefs to what science can explain through brain chemistry, overlooking the possibility of anything beyond. I referenced the neuroscientist's NDE to highlight the importance of challenging conventional understanding. Even someone deeply entrenched in science can encounter experiences pushing the boundaries of our knowledge. I've been in healthcare 30+ years trained in integrative functional medicine and had a stroke back in April 2022 due to a medication I was taking. ER docs wanted to give me TPA which is a clot busting drug, but something in my mind told me to refuse it and I did. Then they wanted to give me something to lower my blood pressure and again something in my head told me to refuse it and I did. Turns out I had a low blood flow infarction in the left posterior limb of the internal capsule due to the prescribed vasodilator I was taking. I could get into more details, but basically I was admitted to the hospital and every test and scan you can imagine was done and nothing was found to have caused the stroke and that is why it was concluded that the vasodilator caused it. Anyways, later that night I couldn't move the entire right side of my body and I remember asking God what it was that I could learn from this. Then I heard this clear voice in my head say to forget about the past, don't worry about the future, and focus on the NOW! Live your life and do what makes you happy without hurting others in the process. So, a month later I followed up with a neurologist and he looked over all my scans and test results and basically said that if I would have taken the TPA I could have had a major brain bleed due to my BP being 213/110 at the time. AND, if I would have taken the medicine to lower my BP, it could have caused more strokes because my body was naturally increasing my BP due to the low blood flow. So, God saved me from death and gave me another chance at life and I am here to help people for as long as God allows! Blessings to all!

We are all born to different parents, have different upbringings, religious beliefs, etc., and we can't judge others just because they don't believe the way we do. We must understand that we are all human and that God created a vast diversity in everything He created. Just look at all the diversity in nature and you will know that God is a God of diversity. While we may not be able to agree with everything someone does, we should at least try to understand that we all make choices based on our own opinions of what we may think or believe what is right or wrong. Some of us intentionally do wrong, while others strive to do right. However, due to the vast diversity in humanity, there is NO WAY that 100% of the population will agree with what me or you do in this thing we call life. So, we live our life the best way we know how. We live with no regrets, let the past be the past - and while we can plan for the future, let us not worry about those plans because tomorrow is not promised. So, I live for today, help others, and try my best to understand why people do the things they do. I don't have to agree with everything someone does, but I know that just because I don't agree with them doesn't necessarily mean they are doing something wrong. Believe in yourself and just know that YOU have the power to change your world. But also know this. At the very second you change your world, you could lose it all. I’ve not had a NDE that I am aware of….I was a dialysis nurse my whole nursing career. One day in late January 2021 everything changed. I had a very emotional experience to my sons’ dad dying. I could not be a nurse in dialysis any more. I gave a two month notice. I started having issues with the reason we were keeping people alive, sometimes against their will. A lot of our patients only chose dialysis over death because their family did not want them to go. Our patients would tell us they were ready to go. I saw this time and time again. It was so sad. My beloved mother had a, severe brain hemorrhage and went to a coma before she died from pneumonia and everyday I went to visit her to the icu I told her that she could "go" if she desired to, that I wanted her to be happy, we would be OK, although missing her... I knew she was trapped in that body and she wanted to communicate with me but she couldn't of course... The machines went crazy every time I was there with her.. It's so sad that people aren't aware..

You know from the 100'a of NDE's I've listened to nearly all of them have had an awakening, a 'Come to Jesus meeting" that shows them the reality & importance of this life. Hard way to wake up but better than NOT waking up to what it's all about Alfie.
My Mother passed away in 1995 of cancer. She was seventy four. In 2014 I happened to be passing through the village where she once lived, and decided to take a walk down by the riverside and say a prayer of thanksgiving for her life and love. At the end of the prayer the sun came shining through the trees and seemed to be pulsating. I took a photograph of the sun. A little later that year I happened to look at the photo (my thumbnail photo left shows it. Click on to enlarge) and noticed in the top left corner, Red and Blue Rays, also a White Form (soul?) attached to the white form, a Round Orb. I zoomed in on the orb and within the orb I saw a young ladies face, smiling back at me. I recognised the face immediately, it was my mother face. The face is at a slight angle.

When my dad passed away in 2006, i was walking in an outdoor shopping center with my friend, and we decided to eat something. We were both talking about our dad's, who both had passed away, not too far apart. Just as I spoke about my father, a guitarist near us began to play a song he used to sing to me as a child. "You are my sunshine" was the song. This musician wasn't an older man. He was a young guy. I think it was my dad telling me that he loved me and that he was ok. I do believe we live on in heaven, and our eternity in heaven will be beyond words. I look forward to seeing my dad, older brother, and other family members i have lost in the past. I had a strange experience while undergoing major abdominal surgery. I remember going under then suddenly being aware of being above my head. I had full 360 vision. No noise, just an overwhelming sense of peace and tranquility. I saw three light beings at the end of the bed. I thought “ this is strange@ and then i awoke in intensive care. Ever since then, i went from a real go getter, to having no focus other than wanting to be near nature.

I had a super hard time when my mother died of lung cancer at the age of 77... we were very close and I was expecting her death but when the time came I was so grief stricken that she was gone . I couldn’t talk to her and I kept forgetting I couldn’t call her on the phone ... I was just bedside myself with longing for her that I didn’t want to be here anymore . But I knew she wouldn’t want me to feel like that so I kept going and tried so hard to come to terms with it , but it took a good 15 years to be ok .. and I really hope and pray that there is a beautiful afterlife so I can know she’s ok and happy . And the older I get , I’m slowly knowing she is .. and I can’t wait to see her again ! ♥️ So I keep her and all my loved ones close to my heart and one day we will all be together again .

A suggestion: Meditate on the "Now? The way to do that is to simply not allow the Past or the Future to interupt your thoughts for a period of time. Sit in stillness and peace and try to think on Nothing. When any thought intrudes, simply give it a "No thank you" and let it pass on by. After a while you will be simply sitting in the Now. I discovered this years ago in a time of tremendous difficulty.... and the Now took me out of all of the fear, darkness, and uncertainty that I had been trapped in. I was drenched in Peace and Joy. Try it... if it works, great. Just keep trying until you get there.... and then do it as often as possible. It's very educational as well.....

The way you react emotionally makes your story so authentic to me. From early youth I was fascinated by death. I read all literature about it. Raymond Moody, Elisabeth Kübler-Ross you name it. They all gave me insight into matters of death. It is in my nature to seek out and analyse things around me. I intuitively feel that there is more between heaven and earth. As a kid I had some special experiences that no one could explain. But as you get older you have to conform to society standards. People may think that I am a strange guy, a freak but that doesn't matter to me. I know there is more than this narrow vision on life. I thank you so much for sharing your story with us.

Hello, you are much like me. At 75 now i remember one day about 50 years back seeing in the window of a book store one of Moody's first books and knowing immediately "I must have this book!" I got it and later found Kübler-Ross and others. I recommend the excellent video "The day I died" from BBC. FrenkyBgood. I loved reading what you wrote. I haven’t had those experiences but I have often thought when Jesus came to live among men he would have remembered what he had left and known to what he would return.
Had my NDE over 20 years ago. I distinctly remember thinking. If this is dying, then dying isn't a big deal. I also clearly remember communicating with something else. The experience did not make me more spiritual in a religious sense but rather has made me aware that life and death are natural phenomena that exist alongside one another.

I had an NDE which took me to what I can only discribe as a past life I was in a coma for 3 weeks which took me on a journey across points not just in my present life but across times in the past too. After coming out of the coma (with a brain injury and damaged sight) my thoughts and even native English language was disrupted by a completely different language that I'd never learned and visuals that were extremely real and related these were at their height when suffering epileptic seizures which had begun due to the incident that caused me to be in hospital. I now feel like I'm living between various dimensions, all that was close to me before is /are gone, I trust no one but my animals.

I hope so I am trying to keep soul farming for Jesus at the most high but until change of what o was then what is now is hard I did not NDE Im not medical educated to know the in-depth but I went into shock and started shivering , skin went green and vomiting. Oh wow! I've suffered laryngiospasms for roughly 32 years. It ended my flying career, which was devastating. I've had some really bad ones that had me on my knees, or stumbling outside when home alone, so people would see me collapse in the yard, and if nothing else so someone would find my body before my wife came home from work. It's unbelievably scary and I'm convinced that there's a good possibility that I may eventually suffer a heart attack from the extreme stress. Anyways... thank you for sharing your beautiful NDE. I've watched and read hundreds of accounts and they are the closest thing to proof of an afterlife there is. One lesson is weaved throughout nearly all, and it's that LOVE IS ALL THAT MATTERS!

I also started to have “Freeze response” with the attacks which is extremely frightening, but, I can report it is a natural reaction and one that can be stress related and very curable. No matter how tough your attack is, stay still and repeat this “Let go”… this will “appeal” to the neuropathway involved with relaxation because it understands what letting go is… have you tried Hypnotherapy? This helps reprogram the subconscious mind where any traumas may be lingering… Vocal cord dysfunction is also worth looking into and speech therapy can help resolve any speaking, swallowing/aspiration issues you may have picked up along the way. Main thing to do is stay still and calm without all the thoughts of death or wife finding you etc…. If you have suffered 32 years this alone should be proof it’s not going to kill you…(I say this respectfully and as a reminder you’re alive and maybe just haven’t found the answer yet)… wishing you recovery and total peace to enjoy the rest of your journey 🙏🏻

I had such experience in 2006, I was pronounced dead at the spot… I went on the “other side”, experienced it for a short “moment” (which according to those who witnessed the situation has lasted for more than 2 hours), and I can’t explain what I’ve experienced. I have no words for that experience… However, that moment changed my entire life. It made me incredibly aware of myself, I can no longer use “we” or “us” when I talk, I talk only from my own perspective as I lost the sense of being part of larger social group in which I can blend if I feel weak or if I need support- I can’t be more aware of what’s the value of “now” and “ I ”, and how that value is what God has defined. I regularly feel dreamy like if I’m doubting if I’m actually here now, if this is all a dream, because the “other side” was much more real and complete as experience. Bottom line: such experiences change one’s life entirely and sets in on a very steady course where there’s no doubt why is one here, present as human in this reality. God is more real than the life itself, that’s what I can say for sure.

I've never heard of this happening to anybody else. I was swimming in St. Augustine and got taken by an undertow. Then I heard it... what sounded like the voice of my maternal grandfather on a Sony Cassette recorder. He said "Now David, if you ever get caught by an undertow remember to push off whenever your foot, hand, knee, or elbow hits the bottom." So I tried it once, didn't get it right. Tried again- and all of a sudden I was floating up... by that time I was about 30 feet under and almost lost my breath before I got to the surface, but I did make it by slowly streaming air out. Then I was above the water. The whole thing was amazing.

For my whole life up to retirement I worked in the English public mortuary system as a post-mortem technician ( APT) In my career I probably dealt with 50.000 plus deaths, from every cause imaginable, I have worked in post Mortem rooms with up to 20 bodies on post mortem tables. The doctor is right you cannot see the soul in that dissected brain, you cannot see the love (or hate) in that person’s heart but I always thought the cases I was dealing with, no matter the condition, or mode of Death, I knew What was in front me was just an empty vessel. The one sure thing in life is “ none of us are getting out alive” Our consciousness is what makes us alive, and I am convinced that what goes with us when we are dead.

My cat taught me to embrace the moment when I started walking him on his leash. I was like, hurry up, let's go back in. Well, you don't rush a cat on a leash but I eventually started to slow down and see the world through his eyes a little. There is a LOT to see.

Very sorry for your loss Sara. I too lost a son less than a year ago. Personally, I do believe our souls will “see” the souls of all of our loved ones again. In the same vein, I believe that our children’s ancestors that went before them were there to greet them. My son took his own life, did not leave a note, so I’m also wondering what his final thoughts were. I know he did not feel anything, he would have been immediately unconscious, but I’ll never stop wondering what the straw was that broke the camel’s back. Of course we think about and miss them every day, I hope that never changes - I think about my living children every day, so I have no reason to think it would. My son’s gone from this earth, it caused him too much mental anguish to stay. Everyone with severe depressive symptoms can relate. It’s not selfish in any way for you to miss them, they’re your children! They are still your children, and you miss them, it’s only logical. What sort of mother would stop missing her children - after any amount of time? I hope for peace in your heart and mind. I do believe they’re at rest in a better place than we’re in right now and our souls will reunite again. 💕

I had a NDE while I was being born. It allowed me to have my veil partially removed. Its a challenge to live in a world where so many others dont understand. But, so many are waking up now without the need to experience a NDE. Someday we all will be able to transcend at will, either way, in or out of a body just to enjoy the wonderful experience of life.

In my opinion, we are here to learn from our experiences so that our essence can deepen, grow and evolve. As we grow deeper and more conscious, we expand the experience of the whole. The goal is to live everyday loving the gift of life. It's not about climbing social or career ladders, being better than someone else or even gaining a lot of popularity. Living in gratefulness for our existence, moment to moment, allows us to be at peace about our lives, to lay down worry and fear in exchange for peace and wholeness. In almost all stories about NDE's, there's always a theme of peace, love and okayness. I gather it must be the ego that tangles us up in life's drama. I want to live as if I've already passed into this knowing. Why not trust love to lead and keep us? The way I personally practice this is by giving space to all other human beings to be wherever they are in their walk of life and to choose love for everyone and all things. Love clears the path for others to awaken. In doing so, we make way for a sweeter transition for ourselves. Everyone can practice love.

at 5:30 "this light situation." Genesis begins with light. And one of the characteristics of light is that there is no time ih the light. Just before the astronaut Wubbo Ockels died, he wrote an epitaph:"my time has stopped." Time seems to stop and then there is the light. It seems that is where we are going when we die. Within light, the starting point coincides with the arrival point, the distance between any given point is zero seconds. That means that light is everywhere at once, it is everything at once. The alpha and the omega. God's light.

I also had a near death experience. It wasn't scary and I was really sick but very aware of making a decision to live or not. I chose life and I was healed instantly. I also experience going into deep sleep and waking up everyday with amazing mathematical and spiritual information. Time and space goes away and I realize nothing here is what I thought it was. Peace and love is really the only truthful living. I also moved from a highly populated area to a peaceful serene place. Love and Light
So I think this is almost an NDE because this guy remained focused and in control and saved himself. He didn’t leave his body. The experience taught him to value life more and to live in the present.

What an absolutely lovely NDE. I'm not a physician but I did spend ~ 25 years at the bench in the Life Sciences. He mentions "malignant academia" and I am so glad he did. Medical school , vet school and science is sooooooo ego based and brain based. The heart and feelings are NEVER mentioned or dealt with. For me it was a mixed bag of having a great time in college and in "corporate science" AND never FEELING like I belonged or could be myself. It didn't take an NDE for me to change careers. Anyone looking on the outside would say "Well you are nuts to move on from science" and that was my choice.

Shortly after my friend Clive died I went camping. I was very tired and laid down for a short rest planning to finish emptying the car and get the rest of my gears sorted before nigh. I fell asleep and when I woke up there was a tiny frog on my hand looking at me. I immediately thought it was Clive who had come to say goodbye. The frog did not seem frightened when I moved it just looked at me. I had tears in my eyes

What a sweet guy. When he got emotional, I did too, and had an urge to put my arm around him and offer comfort. I don't think strangers are supposed to do that. Lol I've experienced a lot of grief in the past few years. A lot. It's the worst pain I've ever felt. The number of NDE testimonials that I've watched is probably... possibly in the hundreds. If not, then getting close to 100. Learning about the other side through hearing about NDEs has resulted in a considerable amount of comfort and hope. I'm about as close as you can get to believing that the afterlife is as they described. But that comfort and hope only go so far. I've still got A LOT of anger. About the life and death system. About aging, about the heartbreak those left behind suffer. I'm angry, for example, why do we have to go through this BS known as aging, and all of the discomforts, decline in...everything, the diseases, and finally death? Why? I hate watching people grow old. It doesn't seem right to me. For example, a great singer and songwriter that I admire, Paul Simon (was half of Simon & Garfunkel), is 81 fxxking years old! And had his "farewell tour." Farewell?! That's so not right to me, and it makes me mad. He won't be with us much longer, and then we won't be able to experience him performing his beautiful art, ever again. I think that's bullxxxt! And _I'm_ going to be sixty before long! Sixty!? No way! I should be 25! It's not right. I recently watched both parents suffer through dementia and eventually pass away. It was...just awful. Aging seems like a disease to me. It strikes me as cruel and plain wrong, and I'm angry about it. When I pass and arrive on the other side, I'll be asking where the complaint department is. I'm going to be busy filling out paper work! Maybe it can be filled out and submitted online. Do they have Internet over there? Lol

I am a hardcore Atheist. When I was a kid, I was Catholic, went to Catholic school and church every Sunday. When I was around 13 I was hit by a speeding car while crossing the street on foot. I was hit and propelled into the air and flew a while, before falling and landing on the grass in someone's yard. I remember flying thru the air. I remember falling and landing. When I hit the ground, I remember my father who was in his car nearby, had come and was over me, telling me everything was going to be ok. I told him I wanted to get up. I didn't feel any pain at that moment and I felt like I could get up. My father told not to get up. He told me to stay quietly on the ground and try not to move too much. He said the ambulance was on the way. Some bystanders were there, in the background. I remember that too. In my mind, I wanted to get up, no matter what my father said, I felt like it was no big deal and I was gonna stand up. So I tried to get up, I tried to move my legs and I couldn't really. And in my mind I couldn't figure out why, so I just kept trying to get up. I tried so hard to get up. I was pushing myself, my whole body, with everything I had, to get up off of the ground. But I couldn't get up. No matter how hard I was trying. I never lost consciousness, even though when I landed I hit my head on the ground. I still kept thinking I was going to get up. I still couldn't, so eventually I gave up, and laid there waiting for the ambulance. It may seem like this all took some time, but I didn't see it or feel it that way. It only felt like about 10 mins and before I knew it I was already being brought into the ER by the paramedics via ambulance. When I got to the hospital, it was then when I was being moved from the backboard to the hospital bed, that I started to feel pain. I felt immense pain in my groin. And my knee was cut open and it was so deep the insides of my knee were exposed. There was blood and I looked down and saw the blood. I remember feeling faint from seeing the blood and the open wound on my knee (it was pretty gross) and that's all I remember until I woke up, in the hospital with my grandfather's touch. He touched my hand and I remember I opened my eyes and saw him there beside me. I felt him touching my hand. I don't know how much time went by, because I guess I passed out from the faint feeling, and I do remember actually opening my eyes and seeing my grandfather there. While my eyes were closed, and I was passed out, I do not remember seeing anything but darkness. I did not see a light or a tunnel or anything like that. I guess I did not lose consciousness. Because I don't recall having a feeling of being outside of my body or anything like that. I did not have visions or flashbacks about my past or anything like that either. All I remember seeing was darkness. I never felt anything while I was passed out. I only felt the pain when I woke up. So, I don't know. Nothing like anything that these people say they've had near death experiences say they have seen or had happen to them. I am positive that I only saw darkness, I was passed out, and I don't know how much time went by before I opened my eyes, but I only felt like I was sleeping and I wasn't aware of what really happened (to the extent that it did) and I only felt pain when my eyes were open and I knew what was going on. So. That's my experience. It definitely began to change my mind about God, afterlife, religion etc etc. And as the years passed, I eventually gave up religion in it's entirety, after I did extensive research on the subject. I read the bible from cover to cover. And reading that book is what made my decision firm and very clear. I don't believe any of the stories in the bible. Not one word of it. I don't think there's anything after death. I do not believe there's some greater or higher being. I don't believe there's a god. I don't believe there are any gods. When you die, you die and that's it. You are cremated into the ashes in which we all come from, or put in the ground to decay and rot while maggots and bugs eat away at your remains. Sad, but true. Life is definitely hard. But it's your only chance to live. So I believe that we should live life for as long as we can, and enjoy it, without the worries of eternal damnation or without the worries of where we will go after we're done living. I think you should live while you can, do what you can, enjoy yourself when you can. Take up hobbies to keep your mind busy when you're bored. I've had severe depression and anxiety disorder and I've had it for decades. I took medication for it. I have tried, and been on the brink of suicide many times. I've been hospitalized for my attempts to kill myself. I am better now, and I no longer take medication. But now I'm 47, and I have a bad back as a result of that accident I had when I was hit by the car. I am in debilitating and chronic pain. I have bad discs, muscle spasms, and arthritis in my lower back. I'm in pain 24/7 and I can't even breathe without pain. I've been to every doctor, tried injections, pills physical therapy...you name it, I've tried it. Even the holistic stuff, the CBD stuff, actually smoking weed, etc etc. None of that has helped. Recently, my doctor mis-prescrbed me some pills that I took two of, and almost died from. I ended up in the ER from that too. Been to the urgent care clinics and specialists, chiropractors, my regular doctor, orthopedic doctors etc etc. Nothing I have done has helped. I am out of options, and they won't do surgery on me. I don't know why, they just keep on saying I have to "exhaust" all other options first. I feel like I have exhausted all those other options. I've explored all the avenues. I've done everything. I still have no relief, and I'm in pain 24/7. It affects my sleep, how I eat, it affects pretty much every aspect of my life. I can't be physically active. I can't do simple household chores. I can not even breathe without feeling that pain in my back. It hurts to cough or sneeze, and I have trouble pooping sometimes because I have to push, (IBS) and the pushing hurts my back. So, with all that being said, I am back to researching suicide, but I'm into the dignity with dying debate, and I am totally in support of legal euthanasia and assisted suicide for anyone who is suffering from anything at all that they can no longer bare. Everybody talks about "My body, my choice" OK. I am totally behind that. I believe everyone has the right to do whatever they want to their bodies and people have the right to live as they choose. Everybody talks about the right to live, but nobody ever talks about the right to die. We live in a world where it is considered a sacrifice when we have to let our pets go, because they are suffering. Sick animals are HUMANELY relieved of their pain. Why don't we do this for humans? If it's my body and my choice, my life etc etc, and I have the right to live, then why don't I have the right to die? I'm not terminally ill but I am chronically ill and I have had enough of being in pain all the time. I am ready to GO, I am not afraid and I want it to happen sooner than later. I feel like that's my right. And it is my right. If I have the right to life, I have the right to death, period. None of the doctors I have found in my state will sign off assisted suicide or legal euthanasia, because it's not legal in Florida. It's legal in 11 states in America, but mine isn't one of them. Also, it's a very complicated process, you have to jump thru all kinds of legal and medical hoops to do it. At this point, it's not worth the effort for me, because I don't really have much more of my dignity left anyway. So my hands are tied here. I have reluctantly accepted that I can not die with whatever dignity I have left, whether I wait it out and grow old and die, or I just end it all now and free myself of the pain and suffering. Either way, I don't care anymore. I just want to be free from my pains. I want to be free from my physical, emotional and mental anguish. I just can't wait for it to be my turn to go- ..... So I will wait, for now, but I am losing the very last bit of patience that I have within me dealing with this. So I really am conflicted as to what I am going to do from here..... That's it. Thanks for sharing your story. I've had major depression and anxiety for most of my life and can relate to that but not the chronic pain. I can't imagine your suffering. I hope you find comfort and relief from your pain. I'm currently trying to qualify for a treatment for my... "treatment, resistant depression" where they use Spravato which is supposed to be very effective for depression and suicidal ideation. I believe it is a version of ketamine. There are treatment centers in Florida, and insurance does cover it in some cases so at least that's legal in Florida. I've also found cognitive behavioral therapy to be effective in my case. Good luck to us, all the best... something along those lines.

atage of 16 had a NDE 1964 - Now just turned 77 on July 4th 2024 - it is a profound experience hard to put into words and there was way to comprehend it other than "the knowing impact" I didn't even have a name for what I experienced at the time. In the early 70's I ran into a book "On Death and Dying" by Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, MD ... finally a name for my experience...but still I had Never told anyone...but it was there it opened a portal in my life...I am an empath and sensitive childhood, that experience enhanced that, but also even though I did not share the experience I was treated and thought differently from others. In fact my dad often told me "Your too sensitive" ... I never told my parents or my deased husband ... there is much more talk, information or awareness now, but still a stigma, doubts and questions ... I ran across your podcast while on CZcams and what might be labeled just an accident, right now with the profound stress in my life, it most definitly not an accident,b but not sure how to intergrate it into the turmoil I'm struggling with ... my life has not been easy, at those time, like the one now I often ask the powers to be who spoke to me with a answer to my profound knowing of the beauty unexplainable love and peace awareness as my body was crashing butnow made aware I was more than my body "oh, this is easy, I've done this before" and they quickly responded with "yes, we know, but it's not time yet"...immediately shoved back into my body, rushed into surgery...major surgery, 3 pints of blood later...to this day when times get rough...I ask..."you kept me here for this...some expaning to do when I completely transition" ... Blessings to all who read this ... life is a roller coaster ride ... we need to bring more of the love and peace I experienced into the earth world to make a body/life experience for all to have a kinder, accepting, consciousness as we traverse beyond our current limiting experience ... it is our job and our purpose for evolving...

We don’t have to die to have a near death experience. Among other things, I went to heaven to see my son after his passing. So, There’s an easy way to change or open your state of consciousness & learn who you are as SOUL. The sacred, ancient word for God is HU. Thousands of people chant or sing the HU every day to uplift themselves spiritually, & for healing, or to recall past lives, & to learn what lies beyond the body consciousness. Soul is eternal.. I have a grand theory that our creation of the internet was to aid us in our awakening as a collective at this time. The fact that these experiences are now able to be shared instantly around the world is changing the human perspective on spirituality and laying to rest a lot of the religious dogma that has separated us, and scared us quite frankly, for ages.
I didn't hear him say anything about believing in God. I think he believes that there is something more to dying than what he has been taught as a scientist.

His story is credible to me because of his background but also because he says how profoundly it affected his life, both good and not so good. That would seem more realistic than everything is wonderful and makes sense after an NDE. He's still alive and life is never easy.

When I was in hospital last year 2 people died on my ward of 6. The woman opposite to my left had lung cancer and the awful sound as she breathed still haunts me. It was extreme chestiness/rattling and her voice sounded so distant……like a small voice behind all the chest noise. A doctor used something to try and suck of the mucus out. She was only in the ward for a few hours and died. I was relieved, The other woman was elderly and didn’t seem To Be able to Speak, just making cooing noises. I noticed before she died she was pointing up to the corner of the ceiling. She was gone quickly And peacefully. To me the worst thing about death is the long drawn out illnesses some people get before hand.

With my nde i experienced the " love " feeling all around me and ws so content and happy , but after i came back of my own will i struggled for weeks feeling depressed as i wanted to go back . Then i became spiritual and my life changed , i split with my partner , gave up my job and moved 200 miles after meeting another spiritual friend who is now my wife

When I was young in my late 20s. I use to party hard. One night, I partied with various drugs, I was getting physically uncomfortable. My heart was racing too fast. It was very uncomfortable. Seconds later, I saw these beautuful lights and warm hues all around me. It felt so loving and peaceful. I can hear my heart beat really really slow almost stopping. However, I wasn't nervous. It was so beautiful and I knew my life was ending. But that's when I thought of my sister. How I can't leave her alone in this world, she would be devastated. So I told myself to fight, I can't leave. I remember it wasn't easy. I had to focus to get out of that peaceful place. And then I just open my eyes and told the person next to me that I think I almost died. I no longer see the beautiful light and no longer felt peaceful. I suddenly felt my heart beating hard and uncomfortable once again. that person then helped me to bathroom to get a cold shower to snap out of it. I know for sure if I didn't think about my sister, I don't think I would still be here. I haven't touch drugs ever since.

Oh Wow! Thank y ou for explaining how difficult it is to relate to people aft a NDE. I see the world in an entirely different way. I've left my religion because during my NDE I felt God's love---a love I can never explain but knowing beyond the veil He loves everyone and everything! No-one is excluded---that idea is non-existent . . Gender is not an issue. ( it used to be prior to my NDE) Everyone is a soul. We are here to love each other, to learn, experience and grow.I see people as an extension of God. Ive changed my way of living----Ive become a minimalist . "Things" are not important to me . Ive tossed my jewelry l, fancy house, etc out the window. People, animals, the environment, etc are important to me. I feel that you are only good as what you do for other people. Very good and balanced video. I have seen many videos about NDEs and have been reading about it since the late 80s. Nowadays with the "popularization" of the NDEs experiences there might be some rather "fake" experiences. Most of those are always trying to push an agenda or being rather "materialistic" on its details (like enphasis on "gold" or "power",etc.). But there are many that are very genuine, authentic and also are consistent with the final message or lesson (love, non judgmental, peace, gratitude, understanding, universality, oneness, trust, joy, love and more love). That is why I say this is a good and balanced video. Thanks for sharing your experience and expanding our consciousness.

Wow! I had almost exactly same experience as you, with almost drowning , NDE ! I was felt same calmness, and once I saw that bright light, I followed it and crawled my way to the beach ! I remember 3 previous lives. One of them was drowning. However, once we have such death, we will not have to die in same way. And I believe that was the near drowning experience at 15, I survived !😇

When , in this life I was about to deliver my 2 children I almost died! Now I do KNOW that was same experience ! Third time that I died, is the most painful that I remember ! I completely understand what you mean by the alienation. My husband (now crossed over) had an NDE in the 90s (massive mystery heart attacks, age 40). Six months later, we went to a new city 5-6 hours away as a vacation treat. There I was approached by a female security guard in the resort, who said she met me during her NDE a few years before (coma). She recognized me instantly. Whenever my husband and I talked about these experiences to others, we were shunned and frequently scolded. There was a Mormon man at a diner, who overheard my husband talking about the NDE, who began screaming at us in fury. We were being blasphemous! Many looked at us as if we were making it all up for attention. Oh! And my husband received an "order" before he was allowed to return to this dimension. As you bravely discussed, it "ruined" us and nearly killed us as we sought to fulfill the instructions. There's nothing you can do but press on just as you did here. THANK YOU for your candor.

I had a NDE and one of the most profound things was that it was a few weeks after the accident where I experienced the event before I realized that there was something unusual or abnormal about what had happened to me. It kind of gradually drifted upon me that, "Wait. That was a really, REALLY strange thing that happened to you! That was supernatural!" - I had almost forgotten it, dismissed it, all while remembering it but remembering it as just a regular and expected way of things.

Every book I read about NDE’s the people had a kind of depression afterwards because they felt the beauty and complete love. These people love their family more than anything and yet they wanted to go back. It took a long time to get past it.

The natural risks, inherent in a natural, non manmade jungle, forrest, or desert environment, has been known to represent great risk of immanent serious bodily injury or death, resulting from harsh climate, competition from other humans & animals, for food, water & shelter, & from disease & serious injuries or death from naturally hazardous terrain. Even with modern man’s amenities, which have caused man to become averse to spartan conditions, generally, & to become alienated from a lifestyle of hunter-gatherer, or even, of a farming existence, that would sustain oneself, living a life of “convenience” & for some, a life of luxury, can be a red flag for becoming victims of nature, & not being able to adapt to catastrophic events. Wild animals, subject to the food chain & that can be observed to endure a harsh existence(though often appearing tranquil), are no different from human existence. We are insulated, most of us, from lions & tigers, for example, or not so effectively protected from other predatory humans, but such artificial societal protection, still fails in the end to protect us from the ravages of death, by bacteria & viruses, & who-knows-what other hostile, unseen entities, that abound! As Sally Fields or some other actress, naively( but joyously admirable) exclaimed, “Why can’t we all just get along?”

I lost my mum in February 2021. On my birthday in 2023 April 29 - I was sitting in the garden and it was cold and grey. I was thinking of my mum and how I wasn’t there when she passed. Suddenly the sun came out and a tiny blue butterfly landed by my foot. It was beautiful and I had never seen one like it before. I knew it was from her.

It's just that many people limit their beliefs to what science can explain through brain chemistry, overlooking the possibility of anything beyond. I referenced the neuroscientist's NDE to highlight the importance of challenging conventional understanding. Even someone deeply entrenched in science can encounter experiences pushing the boundaries of our knowledge. It's about recognizing that there may be aspects of existence beyond current scientific explanations.
Just saying doctors have recreated the tunnel experience by touching certain parts of the brain with electrical probes so not to dismiss science all together
I've been in healthcare 30+ years trained in integrative functional medicine and had a stroke back in April 2022 due to a medication I was taking. ER docs wanted to give me TPA which is a clot busting drug, but something in my mind told me to refuse it and I did. Then they wanted to give me something to lower my blood pressure and again something in my head told me to refuse it and I did. Turns out I had a low blood flow infarction in the left posterior limb of the internal capsule due to the prescribed vasodilator I was taking. I could get into more details, but basically I was admitted to the hospital and every test and scan you can imagine was done and nothing was found to have caused the stroke and that is why it was concluded that the vasodilator caused it. Anyways, later that night I couldn't move the entire right side of my body and I remember asking God what it was that I could learn from this. Then I heard this clear voice in my head say to forget about the past, don't worry about the future, and focus on the NOW! Live your life and do what makes you happy without hurting others in the process. So, a month later I followed up with a neurologist and he looked over all my scans and test results and basically said that if I would have taken the TPA I could have had a major brain bleed due to my BP being 213/110 at the time. AND, if I would have taken the medicine to lower my BP, it could have caused more strokes because my body was naturally increasing my BP due to the low blood flow. So, God saved me from death and gave me another chance at life and I am here to help people for as long as God allows! Blessings to all!

@@silent209lb Not taking things so seriously. Showing compassion and empathy for others. We are all born to different parents, have different upbringings, religious beliefs, etc., and we can't judge others just because they don't believe the way we do. We must understand that we are all human and that God created a vast diversity in everything He created. Just look at all the diversity in nature and you will know that God is a God of diversity. While we may not be able to agree with everything someone does, we should at least try to understand that we all make choices based on our own opinions of what we may think or believe what is right or wrong. Some of us intentionally do wrong, while others strive to do right. However, due to the vast diversity in humanity, there is NO WAY that 100% of the population will agree with what me or you do in this thing we call life. So, we live our life the best way we know how. We live with no regrets, let the past be the past - and while we can plan for the future, let us not worry about those plans because tomorrow is not promised. So, I live for today, help others, and try my best to understand why people do the things they do. I don't have to agree with everything someone does, but I know that just because I don't agree with them doesn't necessarily mean they are doing something wrong. Believe in yourself and just know that YOU have the power to change your world. But also know this. At the very second you change your world, you could lose it all. Be thankful for every moment you have breath! Blessings!

I’ve not had a NDE that I am aware of….I was a dialysis nurse my whole nursing career. One day in late January 2021 everything changed. I had a very emotional experience to my sons’ dad dying. I could not be a nurse in dialysis any more. I gave a two month notice. I started having issues with the reason we were keeping people alive, sometimes against their will. A lot of our patients only chose dialysis over death because their family did not want them to go. Our patients would tell us they were ready to go. I saw this time and time again. It was so sad. I retired early in March 2021. Thank you for telling your story.

My beloved mother had a, severe brain hemorrhage and went to a coma before she died from pneumonia and everyday I went to visit her to the icu I told her that she could "go" if she desired to, that I wanted her to be happy, we would be OK, although missing her... I knew she was trapped in that body and she wanted to communicate with me but she couldn't of course... The machines went crazy every time I was there with her.. It's so sad that people aren't aware..

You know from the 100'a of NDE's I've listened to nearly all of them have had an awakening, a 'Come to Jesus meeting" that shows them the reality & importance of this life. Hard way to wake up but better than NOT waking up to what it's all about Alfie.
My Mother passed away in 1995 of cancer. She was seventy four. In 2014 I happened to be passing through the village where she once lived, and decided to take a walk down by the riverside and say a prayer of thanksgiving for her life and love. At the end of the prayer the sun came shining through the trees and seemed to be pulsating. I took a photograph of the sun. A little later that year I happened to look at the photo (my thumbnail photo left shows it. Click on to enlarge) and noticed in the top left corner, Red and Blue Rays, also a White Form (soul?) attached to the white form, a Round Orb. I zoomed in on the orb and within the orb I saw a young ladies face, smiling back at me. I recognised the face immediately, it was my mother face. The face is at a slight angle.

When my dad passed away in 2006, i was walking in an outdoor shopping center with my friend, and we decided to eat something. We were both talking about our dad's, who both had passed away, not too far apart. Just as I spoke about my father, a guitarist near us began to play a song he used to sing to me as a child. "You are my sunshine" was the song. This musician wasn't an older man. He was a young guy. I think it was my dad telling me that he loved me and that he was ok. I do believe we live on in heaven, and our eternity in heaven will be beyond words. I look forward to seeing my dad, older brother, and other family members i have lost in the past. Life certainly doesn't stop when we die here.

I had a strange experience while undergoing major abdominal surgery. I remember going under then suddenly being aware of being above my head. I had full 360 vision. No noise, just an overwhelming sense of peace and tranquility. I saw three light beings at the end of the bed. I thought “ this is strange@ and then i awoke in intensive care. Ever since then, i went from a real go getter, to having no focus other than wanting to be near nature.

I had a super hard time when my mother died of lung cancer at the age of 77... we were very close and I was expecting her death but when the time came I was so grief stricken that she was gone . I couldn’t talk to her and I kept forgetting I couldn’t call her on the phone ... I was just bedside myself with longing for her that I didn’t want to be here anymore . But I knew she wouldn’t want me to feel like that so I kept going and tried so hard to come to terms with it , but it took a good 15 years to be ok .. and I really hope and pray that there is a beautiful afterlife so I can know she’s ok and happy . And the older I get , I’m slowly knowing she is .. and I can’t wait to see her again ! ♥️ So I keep her and all my loved ones close to my heart and one day we will all be together again .

A suggestion: Meditate on the "Now? The way to do that is to simply not allow the Past or the Future to interupt your thoughts for a period of time. Sit in stillness and peace and try to think on Nothing. When any thought intrudes, simply give it a "No thank you" and let it pass on by. After a while you will be simply sitting in the Now. I discovered this years ago in a time of tremendous difficulty.... and the Now took me out of all of the fear, darkness, and uncertainty that I had been trapped in. I was drenched in Peace and Joy. Try it... if it works, great. Just keep trying until you get there.... and then do it as often as possible. It's very educational as well.....

The way you react emotionally makes your story so authentic to me. From early youth I was fascinated by death. I read all literature about it. Raymond Moody, Elisabeth Kübler-Ross you name it. They all gave me insight into matters of death. It is in my nature to seek out and analyse things around me. I intuitively feel that there is more between heaven and earth. As a kid I had some special experiences that no one could explain. But as you get older you have to conform to society standards. People may think that I am a strange guy, a freak but that doesn't matter to me. I know there is more than this narrow vision on life. I thank you so much for sharing your story with us.

Hello, you are much like me. At 75 now i remember one day about 50 years back seeing in the window of a book store one of Moody's first books and knowing immediately "I must have this book!" I got it and later found Kübler-Ross and others. I recommend the excellent video "The day I died" from BBC. FrenkyBgood. I loved reading what you wrote. I haven’t had those experiences but I have often thought when Jesus came to live among men he would have remembered what he had left and known to what he would return.
Had my NDE over 20 years ago. I distinctly remember thinking. If this is dying, then dying isn't a big deal. I also clearly remember communicating with something else. The experience did not make me more spiritual in a religious sense but rather has made me aware that life and death are natural phenomena that exist alongside one another.

I had an NDE which took me to what I can only discribe as a past life I was in a coma for 3 weeks which took me on a journey across points not just in my present life but across times in the past too. After coming out of the coma (with a brain injury and damaged sight) my thoughts and even native English language was disrupted by a completely different language that I'd never learned and visuals that were extremely real and related these were at their height when suffering epileptic seizures which had begun due to the incident that caused me to be in hospital. I now feel like I'm living between various dimensions, all that was close to me before is /are gone, I trust no one but my animals.

Oh wow! I've suffered laryngiospasms for roughly 32 years. It ended my flying career, which was devastating. I've had some really bad ones that had me on my knees, or stumbling outside when home alone, so people would see me collapse in the yard, and if nothing else so someone would find my body before my wife came home from work. It's unbelievably scary and I'm convinced that there's a good possibility that I may eventually suffer a heart attack from the extreme stress. Anyways... thank you for sharing your beautiful NDE. I've watched and read hundreds of accounts and they are the closest thing to proof of an afterlife there is. One lesson is weaved throughout nearly all, and it's that LOVE IS ALL THAT MATTERS!

As someone that also suffers laryngospasm I completely empathise with your story. I also started to have “Freeze response” with the attacks which is extremely frightening, but, I can report it is a natural reaction and one that can be stress related and very curable. No matter how tough your attack is, stay still and repeat this “Let go”… this will “appeal” to the neuropathway involved with relaxation because it understands what letting go is… have you tried Hypnotherapy? This helps reprogram the subconscious mind where any traumas may be lingering… Vocal cord dysfunction is also worth looking into and speech therapy can help resolve any speaking, swallowing/aspiration issues you may have picked up along the way.
Main thing to do is stay still and calm without all the thoughts of death or wife finding you etc…. If you have suffered 32 years this alone should be proof it’s not going to kill you…(I say this respectfully and as a reminder you’re alive and maybe just haven’t found the answer yet)… wishing you recovery and total peace to enjoy the rest of your journey 🙏🏻

I had such experience in 2006, I was pronounced dead at the spot… I went on the “other side”, experienced it for a short “moment” (which according to those who witnessed the situation has lasted for more than 2 hours), and I can’t explain what I’ve experienced. I have no words for that experience… However, that moment changed my entire life. It made me incredibly aware of myself, I can no longer use “we” or “us” when I talk, I talk only from my own perspective as I lost the sense of being part of larger social group in which I can blend if I feel weak or if I need support- I can’t be more aware of what’s the value of “now” and “ I ”, and how that value is what God has defined. I regularly feel dreamy like if I’m doubting if I’m actually here now, if this is all a dream, because the “other side” was much more real and complete as experience. Bottom line: such experiences change one’s life entirely and sets in on a very steady course where there’s no doubt why is one here, present as human in this reality. God is more real than the life itself, that’s what I can say for sure.

I've never heard of this happening to anybody else. I was swimming in St. Augustine and got taken by an undertow. Then I heard it... what sounded like the voice of my maternal grandfather on a Sony Cassette recorder. He said "Now David, if you ever get caught by an undertow remember to push off whenever your foot, hand, knee, or elbow hits the bottom." So I tried it once, didn't get it right. Tried again- and all of a sudden I was floating up... by that time I was about 30 feet under and almost lost my breath before I got to the surface, but I did make it by slowly streaming air out. Then I was above the water. The whole thing was amazing.

For my whole life up to retirement I worked in the English public mortuary system as a post-mortem technician ( APT)
In my career I probably dealt with 50.000 plus deaths, from every cause imaginable, I have worked in post Mortem rooms with up to 20 bodies on post mortem tables. The doctor is right you cannot see the soul in that dissected brain, you cannot see the love (or hate) in that person’s heart but I always thought the cases I was dealing with, no matter the condition, or mode of Death, I knew What was in front me was just an empty vessel.
The one sure thing in life is “ none of us are getting out alive”
Our consciousness is what makes us alive, and I am convinced that what goes with us when we are dead.

Yes Francis, our spirit and conscience carry on, the many post mortems ( autopsy’s) I was present at demonstrated to me it was just an empty shell that was left.

Very sorry for your loss Sara. I too lost a son less than a year ago. Personally, I do believe our souls will “see” the souls of all of our loved ones again. In the same vein, I believe that our children’s ancestors that went before them were there to greet them. My son took his own life, did not leave a note, so I’m also wondering what his final thoughts were. I know he did not feel anything, he would have been immediately unconscious, but I’ll never stop wondering what the straw was that broke the camel’s back. Of course we think about and miss them every day, I hope that never changes - I think about my living children every day, so I have no reason to think it would. My son’s gone from this earth, it caused him too much mental anguish to stay. Everyone with severe depressive symptoms can relate. It’s not selfish in any way for you to miss them, they’re your children! They are still your children, and you miss them, it’s only logical. What sort of mother would stop missing her children - after any amount of time? I hope for peace in your heart and mind. I do believe they’re at rest in a better place than we’re in right now and our souls will reunite again. 💕

I had a NDE while I was being born. It allowed me to have my veil partially removed. Its a challenge to live in a world where so many others dont understand. In almost all stories about NDE's, there's always a theme of peace, love and okayness. I gather it must be the ego that tangles us up in life's drama. I want to live as if I've already passed into this knowing. Why not trust love to lead and keep us? The way I personally practice this is by giving space to all other human beings to be wherever they are in their walk of life and to choose love for everyone and all things. Love clears the path for others to awaken. In doing so, we make way for a sweeter transition for ourselves. Everyone can practice love.

Just before the astronaut Wubbo Ockels died, he wrote an epitaph:"my time has stopped." Time seems to stop and then there is the light. It seems that is where we are going when we die. Within light, the starting point coincides with the arrival point, the distance between any given point is zero seconds. That means that light is everywhere at once, it is everything at once. The alpha and the omega. God's light.

So I think this is almost an NDE because this guy remained focused and in control and saved himself. He didn’t leave his body. The experience taught him to value life more and to live in the present.

What an absolutely lovely NDE. I'm not a physician but I did spend ~ 25 years at the bench in the Life Sciences. He mentions "malignant academia" and I am so glad he did. Medical school , vet school and science is sooooooo ego based and brain based. The heart and feelings are NEVER mentioned or dealt with. For me it was a mixed bag of having a great time in college and in "corporate science" AND never FEELING like I belonged or could be myself. It didn't take an NDE for me to change careers. Anyone looking on the outside would say "Well you are nuts to move on from science" and that was my choice.

Shortly after my friend Clive died I went camping. I was very tired and laid down for a short rest planning to finish emptying the car and get the rest of my gears sorted before nigh. I fell asleep and when I woke up there was a tiny frog on my hand looking at me. I immediately thought it was Clive who had come to say goodbye. The frog did not seem frightened when I moved it just looked at me. I had tears in my eyes

What a sweet guy. When he got emotional, I did too, and had an urge to put my arm around him and offer comfort. I don't think strangers are supposed to do that. Lol
I've experienced a lot of grief in the past few years. A lot. It's the worst pain I've ever felt. The number of NDE testimonials that I've watched is probably... possibly in the hundreds. If not, then getting close to 100.
Learning about the other side through hearing about NDEs has resulted in a considerable amount of comfort and hope. I'm about as close as you can get to believing that the afterlife is as they described.
But that comfort and hope only go so far. I've still got A LOT of anger. About the life and death system. About aging, about the heartbreak those left behind suffer. I'm angry, for example, why do we have to go through this BS known as aging, and all of the discomforts, decline in...everything, the diseases, and finally death?
Why? I hate watching people grow old. It doesn't seem right to me. For example, a great singer and songwriter that I admire, Paul Simon (was half of Simon & Garfunkel), is 81 fxxking years old! And had his "farewell tour." Farewell?! That's so not right to me, and it makes me mad. He won't be with us much longer, and then we won't be able to experience him performing his beautiful art, ever again. I think that's bullxxxt!
And _I'm_ going to be sixty before long! Sixty!? No way! I should be 25! It's not right.
I recently watched both parents suffer through dementia and eventually pass away. It was...just awful. Aging seems like a disease to me. It strikes me as cruel and plain wrong, and I'm angry about it.
When I pass and arrive on the other side, I'll be asking where the complaint department is. I'm going to be busy filling out paper work! Maybe it can be filled out and submitted online. Do they have Internet over there? Lol

I am a hardcore Atheist. When I was a kid, I was Catholic, went to Catholic school and church every Sunday. When I was around 13 I was hit by a speeding car while crossing the street on foot. I was hit and propelled into the air and flew a while, before falling and landing on the grass in someone's yard. I remember flying thru the air. I remember falling and landing. When I hit the ground, I remember my father who was in his car nearby, had come and was over me, telling me everything was going to be ok. I told him I wanted to get up. I didn't feel any pain at that moment and I felt like I could get up. My father told not to get up. He told me to stay quietly on the ground and try not to move too much. He said the ambulance was on the way. Some bystanders were there, in the background. I remember that too. In my mind, I wanted to get up, no matter what my father said, I felt like it was no big deal and I was gonna stand up. So I tried to get up, I tried to move my legs and I couldn't really. And in my mind I couldn't figure out why, so I just kept trying to get up. I tried so hard to get up. I was pushing myself, my whole body, with everything I had, to get up off of the ground. But I couldn't get up. No matter how hard I was trying. I never lost consciousness, even though when I landed I hit my head on the ground. I still kept thinking I was going to get up. I still couldn't, so eventually I gave up, and laid there waiting for the ambulance. It may seem like this all took some time, but I didn't see it or feel it that way. It only felt like about 10 mins and before I knew it I was already being brought into the ER by the paramedics via ambulance. When I got to the hospital, it was then when I was being moved from the backboard to the hospital bed, that I started to feel pain. I felt immense pain in my groin. And my knee was cut open and it was so deep the insides of my knee were exposed. There was blood and I looked down and saw the blood. I remember feeling faint from seeing the blood and the open wound on my knee (it was pretty gross) and that's all I remember until I woke up, in the hospital with my grandfather's touch. He touched my hand and I remember I opened my eyes and saw him there beside me. I felt him touching my hand. I don't know how much time went by, because I guess I passed out from the faint feeling, and I do remember actually opening my eyes and seeing my grandfather there. While my eyes were closed, and I was passed out, I do not remember seeing anything but darkness. I did not see a light or a tunnel or anything like that. I guess I did not lose consciousness. Because I don't recall having a feeling of being outside of my body or anything like that. I did not have visions or flashbacks about my past or anything like that either. All I remember seeing was darkness. I never felt anything while I was passed out. I only felt the pain when I woke up. So, I don't know. Nothing like anything that these people say they've had near death experiences say they have seen or had happen to them. I am positive that I only saw darkness, I was passed out, and I don't know how much time went by before I opened my eyes, but I only felt like I was sleeping and I wasn't aware of what really happened (to the extent that it did) and I only felt pain when my eyes were open and I knew what was going on. So. That's my experience. It definitely began to change my mind about God, afterlife, religion etc etc. And as the years passed, I eventually gave up religion in it's entirety, after I did extensive research on the subject. I read the bible from cover to cover. And reading that book is what made my decision firm and very clear. I don't believe any of the stories in the bible. Not one word of it. I don't think there's anything after death. I do not believe there's some greater or higher being. I don't believe there's a god. I don't believe there are any gods. When you die, you die and that's it. You are cremated into the ashes in which we all come from, or put in the ground to decay and rot while maggots and bugs eat away at your remains. Sad, but true. Life is definitely hard. But it's your only chance to live. So I believe that we should live life for as long as we can, and enjoy it, without the worries of eternal damnation or without the worries of where we will go after we're done living. I think you should live while you can, do what you can, enjoy yourself when you can. Take up hobbies to keep your mind busy when you're bored. I've had severe depression and anxiety disorder and I've had it for decades. I took medication for it. I have tried, and been on the brink of suicide many times. I've been hospitalized for my attempts to kill myself. I am better now, and I no longer take medication. But now I'm 47, and I have a bad back as a result of that accident I had when I was hit by the car. I am in debilitating and chronic pain. I have bad discs, muscle spasms, and arthritis in my lower back. I'm in pain 24/7 and I can't even breathe without pain. I've been to every doctor, tried injections, pills physical therapy...you name it, I've tried it. Even the holistic stuff, the CBD stuff, actually smoking weed, etc etc. None of that has helped. Recently, my doctor mis-prescrbed me some pills that I took two of, and almost died from. I ended up in the ER from that too. Been to the urgent care clinics and specialists, chiropractors, my regular doctor, orthopedic doctors etc etc. Nothing I have done has helped. I am out of options, and they won't do surgery on me. I don't know why, they just keep on saying I have to "exhaust" all other options first. I feel like I have exhausted all those other options. I've explored all the avenues. I've done everything. I still have no relief, and I'm in pain 24/7. It affects my sleep, how I eat, it affects pretty much every aspect of my life. I can't be physically active. I can't do simple household chores. I can not even breathe without feeling that pain in my back. It hurts to cough or sneeze, and I have trouble pooping sometimes because I have to push, (IBS) and the pushing hurts my back. So, with all that being said, I am back to researching suicide, but I'm into the dignity with dying debate, and I am totally in support of legal euthanasia and assisted suicide for anyone who is suffering from anything at all that they can no longer bare. Everybody talks about "My body, my choice" OK. I am totally behind that. I believe everyone has the right to do whatever they want to their bodies and people have the right to live as they choose. Everybody talks about the right to live, but nobody ever talks about the right to die. We live in a world where it is considered a sacrifice when we have to let our pets go, because they are suffering. Sick animals are HUMANELY relieved of their pain. Why don't we do this for humans? If it's my body and my choice, my life etc etc, and I have the right to live, then why don't I have the right to die? I'm not terminally ill but I am chronically ill and I have had enough of being in pain all the time. I am ready to GO, I am not afraid and I want it to happen sooner than later. I feel like that's my right. And it is my right. If I have the right to life, I have the right to death, period. None of the doctors I have found in my state will sign off assisted suicide or legal euthanasia, because it's not legal in Florida. It's legal in 11 states in America, but mine isn't one of them. Also, it's a very complicated process, you have to jump thru all kinds of legal and medical hoops to do it. At this point, it's not worth the effort for me, because I don't really have much more of my dignity left anyway. So my hands are tied here. I have reluctantly accepted that I can not die with whatever dignity I have left, whether I wait it out and grow old and die, or I just end it all now and free myself of the pain and suffering. Either way, I don't care anymore. I just want to be free from my pains. I want to be free from my physical, emotional and mental anguish. I just can't wait for it to be my turn to go- .....
So I will wait, for now, but I am losing the very last bit of patience that I have within me dealing with this. So I really am conflicted as to what I am going to do from here.....

Thanks for sharing your story. I've had major depression and anxiety for most of my life and can relate to that but not the chronic pain. I can't imagine your suffering. I hope you find comfort and relief from your pain. I'm currently trying to qualify for a
treatment for my... "treatment, resistant depression" where they use Spravato which is supposed to be very effective for depression and suicidal ideation. I believe it is a version of ketamine. There are treatment centers in Florida, and insurance does cover it in some cases so at least that's legal in Florida. I've also found cognitive behavioral therapy to be effective in my case. Good luck to us, all the best... something along those lines.

atage of 16 had a NDE 1964 - Now just turned 77 on July 4th 2024 - it is a profound experience hard to put into words and there was way to comprehend it other than "the knowing impact" I didn't even have a name for what I experienced at the time. In the early 70's I ran into a book "On Death and Dying" by Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, MD ... finally a name for my experience...but still I had Never told anyone...but it was there it opened a portal in my life...I am an empath and sensitive childhood, that experience enhanced that, but also even though I did not share the experience I was treated and thought differently from others. In fact my dad often told me "Your too sensitive" ... I never told my parents or my deased husband ... there is much more talk, information or awareness now, but still a stigma, doubts and questions ... I ran across your podcast while on CZcams and what might be labeled just an accident, right now with the profound stress in my life, it most definitly not an accident,b but not sure how to intergrate it into the turmoil I'm struggling with ... my life has not been easy, at those time, like the one now I often ask the powers to be who spoke to me with a answer to my profound knowing of the beauty unexplainable love and peace awareness as my body was crashing butnow made aware I was more than my body "oh, this is easy, I've done this before" and they quickly responded with "yes, we know, but it's not time yet"...immediately shoved back into my body, rushed into surgery...major surgery, 3 pints of blood later...to this day when times get rough...I ask..."you kept me here for this...some expaning to do when I completely transition" ... Blessings to all who read this ... life is a roller coaster ride ... we need to bring more of the love and peace I experienced into the earth world to make a body/life experience for all to have a kinder, accepting, consciousness as we traverse beyond our current limiting experience ... it is our job and our purpose for evolving...

We don’t have to die to have a near death experience. Among other things, I went to heaven to see my son after his passing. So, There’s an easy way to change or open your state of consciousness & learn who you are as SOUL. The sacred, ancient word for God is HU. Thousands of people chant or sing the HU every day to uplift themselves spiritually, & for healing, or to recall past lives, & to learn what lies beyond the body consciousness. Soul is eternal.. I have a grand theory that our creation of the internet was to aid us in our awakening as a collective at this time. The fact that these experiences are now able to be shared instantly around the world is changing the human perspective on spirituality and laying to rest a lot of the religious dogma that has separated us, and scared us quite frankly, for ages.
I didn't hear him say anything about believing in God. I think he believes that there is something more to dying than what he has been taught as a scientist.

His story is credible to me because of his background but also because he says how profoundly it affected his life, both good and not so good. That would seem more realistic than everything is wonderful and makes sense after an NDE. He's still alive and life is never easy.

When I was in hospital last year 2 people died on my ward of 6. The woman opposite to my left had lung cancer and the awful sound as she breathed still haunts me. It was extreme chestiness/rattling and her voice sounded so distant……like a small voice behind all the chest noise. A doctor used something to try and suck of the mucus out. She was only in the ward for a few hours and died. I was relieved,

To me the worst thing about death is the long drawn out illnesses some people get before hand.

With my nde i experienced the " love " feeling all around me and ws so content and happy , but after i came back of my own will i struggled for weeks feeling depressed as i wanted to go back . Then i became spiritual and my life changed , i split with my partner , gave up my job and moved 200 miles after meeting another spiritual friend who is now my wife

When I was young in my late 20s. I use to party hard. One night, I partied with various drugs, I was getting physically uncomfortable. My heart was racing too fast. It was very uncomfortable. Seconds later, I saw these beautuful lights and warm hues all around me. It felt so loving and peaceful. I can hear my heart beat really really slow almost stopping. However, I wasn't nervous. It was so beautiful and I knew my life was ending. But that's when I thought of my sister. How I can't leave her alone in this world, she would be devastated. So I told myself to fight, I can't leave. I remember it wasn't easy. I had to focus to get out of that peaceful place. And then I just open my eyes and told the person next to me that I think I almost died. I no longer see the beautiful light and no longer felt peaceful. I suddenly felt my heart beating hard and uncomfortable once again. that person then helped me to bathroom to get a cold shower to snap out of it. I know for sure if I didn't think about my sister, I don't think I would still be here. I haven't touch drugs ever since.

I worked in the morgue and later embalmed. The winged beings ( butterflies, birds) always turn up after a death of family or friend.

Oh Wow! Thank y ou for explaining how difficult it is to relate to people aft a NDE. I see the world in an entirely different way. I've left my religion because during my NDE I felt God's love---a love I can never explain but knowing beyond the veil He loves everyone and everything! No-one is excluded---that idea is non-existent . . Gender is not an issue. ( it used to be prior to my NDE) Everyone is a soul. We are here to love each other, to learn, experience and grow.I see people as an extension of God. Ive changed my way of living----Ive become a minimalist . "Things" are not important to me . Ive tossed my jewelry l, fancy house, etc out the window. People, animals, the environment, etc are important to me. I feel that you are only good as what you do for other people. Yes, right now I don't know where I belong. But I do have such a sense of peace in my beliefs . Thank YOU!

Very good and balanced video. I have seen many videos about NDEs and have been reading about it since the late 80s. Nowadays with the "popularization" of the NDEs experiences there might be some rather "fake" experiences. Most of those are always trying to push an agenda or being rather "materialistic" on its details (like enphasis on "gold" or "power",etc.). But there are many that are very genuine, authentic and also are consistent with the final message or lesson (love, non judgmental, peace, gratitude, understanding, universality, oneness, trust, joy, love and more love). That is why I say this is a good and balanced video. Thanks for sharing your experience and expanding our consciousness.

Wow! I had almost exactly same experience as you, with almost drowning , NDE ! I was felt same calmness, and once I saw that bright light, I followed it and crawled my way to the beach ! I remember 3 previous lives. One of them was drowning. However, once we have such death, we will not have to die in same way. And I believe that was the near drowning experience at 15, I survived !😇

When , in this life I was about to deliver my 2 children I almost died! Now I do KNOW that was same experience ! Third time that I died, is the most painful that I remember ! I was a man from the Order of Christ Templar, going to the Holy land, with my brother ( he is my son in the present life) I was killed with a kind of a sword, pushed into my thoracic area.

You probably had an awakening. Without being search for it or even know about it. Some people ( like me) are meditating and retreating for years in a search for “ The Ultimate Truth”

I completely understand what you mean by the alienation. My husband (now crossed over) had an NDE in the 90s (massive mystery heart attacks, age 40). Six months later, we went to a new city 5-6 hours away as a vacation treat. There I was approached by a female security guard in the resort, who said she met me during her NDE a few years before (coma). She recognized me instantly. Whenever my husband and I talked about these experiences to others, we were shunned and frequently scolded. There was a Mormon man at a diner, who overheard my husband talking about the NDE, who began screaming at us in fury. We were being blasphemous! Many looked at us as if we were making it all up for attention. Oh! And my husband received an "order" before he was allowed to return to this dimension. As you bravely discussed, it "ruined" us and nearly killed us as we sought to fulfill the instructions. There's nothing you can do but press on just as you did here. THANK YOU for your candor.

@@lifeandbeyondchannel Yes, quite puzzling! Not to mention the repeated statement, “they will be ok without you,” which brought joy (not sadness), and also the instant knowledge of people he knew who weren’t near by, and the often-spoken-of overwhelming Love.
We likely will never truly understand the totality of what he felt with our human, linear perception. It seems like he had his mind expanded, as if he saw with the Mind of God.
But I totally get that from our human perspective, we might think we are being F’d with. For me, I wonder how the voices could possibly not be in agreement!
We should probably be careful about injecting fearful thinking into our interpretations. Why couldn’t it all be happening at once?

As a Light Worker and clairvoyant who has had a Spiritual Awakening there is so much more going on in this physical plane than you can dissectvwith a scalpel. I had a NDE and one of the most profound things was that it was a few weeks after the accident where I experienced the event before I realized that there was something unusual or abnormal about what had happened to me. It kind of gradually drifted upon me that, "Wait. That was a really, REALLY strange thing that happened to you! That was supernatural!" - I had almost forgotten it, dismissed it, all while remembering it but remembering it as just a regular and expected way of things.

Every book I read about NDE’s the people had a kind of depression afterwards because they felt the beauty and complete love. These people love their family more than anything and yet they wanted to go back. It took a long time to get past it.
