The Demi thing was in reverse which makes it even funnier. She was mad she had to walk past a bunch of “healthy” options before getting to the “unhealthy” options because she had an eating disorder once.
It's a perfect lesson for her- you can't expect the world to bend to your wants. It'll slap you in the face and make a meme out of you.

I completely empathise with people who hate stoners and stoner culture, however, 420 does serve a purpose outside the US where weed is still mostly illegal. 420 is a day of mass civil disobedience in places like the UK, where people go to Hyde Park and smoke weed and having too many people there for the police to able to do anything about it, so they don't even bother. This hopefully sends the message to people and politicians that making weed illegal is completely pointless and to disenfranchise a person for smoking it is even more so. Ideally this chips away at the reluctance to legalise.

From what I understand, the 4:20 tradition started back in the late 60's/early 70's in San Rafael, CA. Allegedly, a group of friends would convene after school and catch a buzz before heading home for din din, and it worked out that 20 minutes past four in the afternoon was ample time for everyone to gather and blaze before heading home at 5.
@Dirty Dave or I'm old enough to have heard this story before google existed and know people that live in San Rafael. Been there several times. This may sound strange, but people knew shit before the interwebs were invented.

As someone who lives near San Rafael, the urban legend is a little more complicated. One of the high schooler’s older brother had a weed grow that could only be found by a hand drawn map that he left behind when he went to Vietnam. 4:20 was the secret signal that they were getting together that day at the statue at that time to smoke and look for it. Allegedly they never found it, but kept the tradition as a code to say it’s time to light up.
