- New Rig! End Of Big Blue! For Now! I bought a 2002 ford explorer while I fix big blue, and have decided to build out a off road trailer welding rig that I will make for this vehicle, so stay tuned for the future videos to come i will be building a push bumper and winch, a roof rack, and a welding trailer to tow my lincoln ranger 225 on as well as some gas bottles and a future air compressor.

Thanks I’m glad you like it tbh I’m in the process of fixing big blue(the rig truck) it still needs some work some stuff will be on camera other will just be shown how things have changed and go over the mods And repairs I’ve done. Others will actually show the fixes. But there are more videos in the works!
I know a guy who's welding rig is a 2002 honda crv...he has one of those "plug in the wall" welders and a 80cf co2 tank 😁
I know what actually gave me the idea to do this was a buddy of mines set up! He has a Jeep and a military trailer with a sa200 and that is his mobile rig
SUVs make great work trucks. Safe storage for equipment. Well, safer than a open truck. I had a diesel SUV. 190 hp so it was good on fuel. Blew a gasket. So now I have a flat covered Chevy pickup. I hope I am done having it repaired for awhile. Just one thing after another but it does have 195000 miles on it. I also have a 16 foot trailer
Lucky terry my old rig was a almost 30 year old diesel rig and it need a complete tune up which I couldn’t get to at the time so I’ll be rigging this out until I can get that fixed! It was a1990 cclb dually f350 with a 7.3 and had over 250,000 miles on her but can take many more when I fix her
@@adamswelding5052 Love diesels! 295000 is just getting broken in. A lot of power in the 7.3. I would have kept my 6.0 gmc, but was not sure a gasket fix would hold. Didnt want to spend anymore money on it. Every once in a while the fuel solenoid driver would go bad and leave me dead in the middle of the road!. I carried a back up. They were $350 each. Anyway hope you get yours fix soon Adam.
Side note, really love the plasma cutter. I went and bought a 26 gallon air compressor. The pie compressor kept over heating in our 90+ temps. Made a big difference in cutting to keep stable air pressure. Glad you are back making videos! 👍
