The Worst of Fears is an 80's horror inspired, slasher-film, short horror film, that was shot by just me and my wife while we were under quarantine during 2020. The film is basically a no-budget horror film shot by two people. I've always wanted to make a slasher film, and this is me dipping my toes into the water. I'd like to expand the story of this film into a feature one day. I shot this film on the Panasonic GH5.

Great film. Camera work and acting really well done. Am I missing a piece of film? What was the squishy thing? And right between the door opening and the shot of the killer there was something in the blue light. Having the phone ring to let us know that something happened to the wife was cool, but why was the phone outside? Was the killer a human or something strange. Good film but I was just scratching my head over some things.
I love to leave a bit of mystery in my work. All great questions that are ultimately up to you to answer. I will say that the wife was probably attacked while leaving the house and walking out to her car. Thanks for watching!

Its quite a pretty movie I really liked the camera work but I think pacing was a little bit slow and editing was little over cautious like some shots can be cut out and the final shower scene can edited faster and with a hastier sound design (I got the psycho reference :D and I can say that you can compare the shower scenes to see how you can make it much impactfull with sound design faster cuts zooms etc.) Overall its a solid film but can have some improvements.
btw I am not saying that I have the rights to judge, it is just my lowly observations and I thought you might find it helpful! :)

I really like the video had a lot of suspense in it. I'd like the way that you showed the knife right before it was used that was kind of creepy. It's hard to believe that you shot this all by yourself without a camera crew Good job.

Awesome short. Your channel has kept me inspired to create short films even during a pandemic.
I'm actually at the editing stage of a short film I shot during this pandemic. To be honest, the pandemic seemed to have sapped my creativity. Or, at least, I allowed it to have such an effect. That being said, I am so glad to be at the point where I am finally on the post side of my short. It's a goofy horror film. More goofy than horror. I'm not sure how good it will be. But, I know after finishing it, my next film will be a lot easier to shoot and finish. It's not a very long short, so I hope to have it done and uploaded soon.

Concerning to the short, I get he was killed but the perpetrator taking his car... is there any message I have missed ?
