A man cruises around late at night looking for something. He pulls in to ask two young girls for directions - only to flash them to get a cheap thrill. Unfortunately, he has picked the wrong girls. They are also out hunting tonight and they will stop at nothing to get their kill. "Catcalls" explores the themes of street harassment and the idea of women being made victims in safe spaces like their own communities. In this fictional horror, the power is shifted and the predator becomes the prey.

They could have just left the wife alone considering that SHE was the one who tried to help and was in the process of calling the cops. This just made me have less sympathy for the cat women. If you are immoral how can you be mad when someone is immoral towards you? Someone flashed you so instead of just attacking the culprit you kill someone innocent in the process?

This was such a great short film. It deserves way more views than what it has! I see a lot of people complaining about the guys wife getting killed by the cat monster but it was his fault. She got caught in the “crossfire” because of her husbands action. His action had a consequence.
And it's also a...monster.
Maybe it will become the basis of a feature-length film someday!
@@squamish4244 Yes, but they were monsters with a specific type of preferred prey. If they were just monsters who randomly killed any humans they encountered, he would have died right at the beginning when he stopped his car to pretend to ask for directions. He was alone on an abandoned road with his window down, and the woman could have easily transformed when she leaned in to speak to him. But, notice that neither one was particularly interested in him when they thought he was just asking for directions. Once he demonstrated he was a creep, then he became their prey and his wife was just collateral damage, which is one of the points of the movie--when you choose evil, you invite the dark consequences not only on yourself, but on those in your life, even innocent people.

But, they were monsters with a preferred prey, men who behaved badly (notice they were not very interested in him when they thought he was just asking for directions, which is why they did not kill him immediately when he rolled down his window, as they could have easily done). But, once they chose him as their prey, anyone who happened to be in the way became collateral damage. There is the moral: When you choose evil, you invite the dark consequences of your choices not only upon yourself, but also upon those in your life, even innocent people.

Stupid people die, also run upstairs as well. Lighting always oddly dim so you can't see anything, yet again oddly always trip around your own home knowing your own layout and the killer never falls and is always faster than you. That's how this always works.

They originally were uninterested in him when they thought he was just asking for directions, but when he harassed them, he became their target and anyone who got in their way was simply collateral damage. When you participate in evil, you invite in the dark consequences of your behavior on yourself AND those in your life. In other words, you are not the only one who ends up paying the price for your bad choices.

I can't exactly say that he deserved this. It's not like if he raped someone...He was a perv, but not a dangerous one. I met a guy like that once in my life, he was standing at my door and doing that when I was going home. I just entered my house and locked the door. After several minutes he was gone. That was a very weird experience, but I wouldn't want that person being killed tho.

A edgy and satisfying film left me wanting more. Great acting and the photography was spot on.
Reminds me of the 80s remake of Cat People, but with an even more modern twist of calling out cat-callers. I absolutely love it. Those girls were gorgeous and even the one in her cat form.
