Man watching this brings back a lot of good memories. Ran a 1760 vac for 15 years, probably the best planter I've ever run. Super simple, we had Esets in ours and had excellent stands.

Great video! Hi from north east Pa.! I'm new to the channel and really enjoy watching. You do a great job with video. I'm a mechanic, so I'm always watching the machine you're pulling and trying to figure out what it's doing and how. Like the planter in this video. I'm sure it's second nature to you, but it has this ridge runner baffled lol. I know there must be seed in all those hoppers, but how they get in the ground is beyond me! The arm way out to the side...is that marking the ground for the next run? Could you show us how the machines work sometime? And what about all that corn? Will it be feed for animals or for people? And by the way, thank you for all the product you work hard to provide for our country! Thanks and have a great weekend!

You are somewhat correct. The front boxes on the planter hold his seed. The planting process start with row cleaner(the spikey thing) cleaning an area on the top. Then a disc cuts open a trench. As this happens, vacuums suck the seed onto a seed plate, which has whole to fit the seed into. This seed, once it gets past the vacuums suction, falls down a seed tube into the ground. The trench created by the disc is then closed by 2 wheels on the back.

@@aidencrawford3487 thats so cool how it can do that, acre after acre. You have to trust it's putting those tiny seeds in and at the right time. I had to make the rows with the corner of a hoe, put the seeds in and cover them by hand. Lol
