      Sorry if any of this comes off as rude, that wasn't the intention but I find it strange how there's only one piece of evidence gives the idea that these people existed. The armor makes me believe they were already near extinction or they probably weren't from Hyrule in the first place.

    The concept of malice being sentient makes me wonder even more than I already do... Why, why, *WHY* is there so much malice around the Tabantha tower. It's very out of the way so it's not like a lot of people died there like the pools of malice we see around the castle town and Akkala Citadel so... What was the malice trying to hide from us there? What is or was there that caused that massive pool of malice to form around it??? The mystery of the malice around that tower drives me nuts. I want answers to these unimportant questions!

    • @kingdaniel3519
      @kingdaniel3519 Před 3 lety +3

      I've asked that question myself. It makes sense that malice would be in areas that were important or strategic, such as the Great Plateau, Hyrule Castle and Town, the Coliseum and Akkala Citadel. However, why would it be all over Nero Hill and the Tabantha Tower? Yet another question we'll hopefully get a chance to answer in the sequel.

    • @romano-britishmedli7407
      @romano-britishmedli7407 Před rokem +1

      Having watched the video of mysterious places in BotW by Zeltik and NBC, I have a suggestion:
      What I've we can find malice here, because this was a place of significance to Ganon? Ganon attributed significance to this place because of the ruins surrounding the tower, because they were somewhat important to him. The large scale of these ruins seem to indicate a place of high importance or high population during Skyward Sword's times, so I thnk it's not that far of a stretch to assume Ganon knows about this and think they are important or emotionally significant to him.
      Not sure how this whole remembering in the reincarnation-cycle works, but even if a counterargument would be that the current Ganon doesn't remember past actions from different eras, I'd assume something like
      - something something Demise's curse (therefore linking Ganon's very existence to SS's timeframe)
      - somehing something subconscious desire to control this place/these ruins, a weak lingering desire even Ganon doesn't really understand or can explain
      Not really a full enclosing answer, but the best take I have to this problem.

Basically, the Malice outside of Hyrule Castle latched onto Stagnated pools of water to survive and grow from. We can actually see it’s raining in the Memory which comes directly after Link and Zelda rush to Hyrule Castle and the champions die. He pointed out that the areas in Hyrule with significant amounts of malice tend to be places of significance in the Calamity’s success (Hyrule Castle/Castletown, Akkala Citadel, etc.) So keeping that theory in mind, the fact that there is a decent amount of malice in the Bottomless Swamp for seemingly no reason makes it very suspicious, definitely makes you question what was being planned there.

    A theory I thought of while watching this is that for the skull bases around hyrule are stone but were carved away by Lynel level monsters who wanted to make a base. As they were carving it they decided to make it into a skull to scare away the smaller monsters so they didn’t have to fight them and mark their territory. As the original monsters died the smaller ones would come in and make it their base. Now obviously this is for if they are just stone but are most likely actual skulls.

    I think you skipped one of the most interesting points- this specific skull is the same as the (Zonai) Barbarian Armor helmet skull- which doesn’t belong to any animal we know in the game (only other one with downwards facing horns/tusks is dark beast ganon).

    • @BatmanPooping

      @MaskedNintendoBandit another element which relates this skull to Ganon is the red hair on the Barbarian helmet (and the other markings of the armor which relate it to Ganon’s magic).

    Ok so this theory actually gave me chills.
    I mean, all of your theories sound super plausible but this one was just a bit more than others.
    The thought of Ganon trying to create a final, perfect body (kind like he did in age of calamity) seemed super epic and foreboding. Just Imagine what would have happened to the Botw timeline if he actually pulled this one off and just stomped hyrule flat.
    Just makes me all the more hyped for Botw2 and E3...
    I personally think there's just no way Nintendo will be showing up and NOT say anything about Botw2.
    Also Metroid 4, a new Donkey Kong Game, possibly a new smash character.
    Anyway Bandit, thanks for the awesome vid, love your editing/greenscreen moments.

    What's even more peculiar is that this area _does not exist_ in Tears of the Kingdom. Its just an empty pond now (in fact, its actually the pond you fall into after leaving the Great Sky Island... So I guess that's _something_ ).
    In fact, speaking of Tears of the Kingdom... This area has _so much wasted potential!_ Like, imagine if it actually WAS "bottomless," because of a massive chasm leading to the depths underneath it? How could would it have been to sink into the mud and fall all the way down into the depths to an area with cascades of mud pouring down from the ceiling, akin to those hot spring lava falls? THAT would have been cool.

    Ay bro you completely overlooked that the skull would most definitely have a warmer interior if it was made of bone, and would not have a scratches and scars on its horns, a broken horn tip, or wound in its head if it were carved. Calling it a rock was most definitely a mistake on the dev teams part. The fact that its sitting around in mud and that its so deep could support the idea that whatever it was fell inside the pool and was killed. If you forget the name the dev’s gave it, the story here is totally different

    One glaring problem though: Why did the other bokoblins make more skulls like they do all over Hyrule if your theory is correct? If Ganon would want to possess the skull, wouldn't they want to create the rest of the skeleton so Ganon could have full control over limbs as well and more strength? What is the purpose of making more skulls, it seems to be wasting time, effort, and materials. They already have places to hide out as well, like in the monster skull and behind the limbs if they carved that out instead.
