So maybe she *didn’t* give those things to Ranni, but instead had them the entire time because she IS Ranni.

In my head when playing the game, I always assumed the twilight people were the gerudo people. And that zant was that rare male that was born which is why he believed he should lead so badly and criticized Midna. So to me Zant and Ganon had a shared heritage in a way. My theory only went more believable when I saw your other video about Midna/twilight being possibly gerudo. Being that the gerudo are spiritual, I feel Zant and ganon intertwined their souls to live off each other. When Zant saw Ganon be defeated by link/Zelda/Midna, he realized the error of his ways or saw how weak his gods powers was. In death/limbo he gave up and as a last act of revenge or maybe change of heart he severed himself with Ganon. I believe Ganon was reliant on Zant more than let on. No concrete proof but in my mind this makes sense and an awesome backstory for the villains. In short your theory goes along with mine a bit and I’m glad I wasn’t the only one to think this when playing the game. I love the similar concept between Zelda giving her power to Midna was to ganon giving his to Zant but totally different outcomes.

Considering the ease of removing the boulder closing Dodongo Cavern, I assume the gorons put it there to keep the dodongos inside. They call them an a ancient menace so it's unlikely they're well versed in fighting them. And I assume the beamos were put there by Ganondorf as an additional obstacle, but I'm only guessing that because they're the first thing you see in Ganon's Castle later on and that they're tan which makes me think they're gerudo-made.

I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to all of the various lore during my first playthrough. I got the gist of the story and all the different factions and quest lines and things like that. And I felt like I understood a little bit of the history leading up to the game. But now that I'm back and playing it again in advance of the DLC, I'm also watching a bunch of other people playing it and talking about it and realizing that I know nothing. Turns out that Elden Ring has been a huge ARG from the beginning, because even if there is a Canon story, it really seems like a lot of the answers that are available to us right now are community speculation.
