Ben, Thanks for the great camera work and clear instructions. I've watched a few of these, but you clearly showed me what to look for so I can proceed. Well done.

Great video. Now you need one for changing the clutch fluid.

Did you fill when the car was jacked up or did you drop the car and fill? I know with later model Honda’s the car needs to be level for the proper fluid level

I believe that's the case for most vehicles.
I just did the ATF on a '95 EuroVan ('96 Winnebago Rialta) and the ATF temp should be 104*-105*F, on level ground, and plugged when the stream slows to a trickle/drip in order to have the correct amount of fluid. It's quite a bit more and almost double the price of the Honda MTF, too. lol

Thank you for your video. Will be helpful in the future. Is there anywhere I can download that shop manual you have? I've been looking for it for ages, but to no avail...

How can I get a printed copy of the factory Fit maintenace manual? I can only find 3rd party manuals which are incomplete or wrong in many respects.

Thanks bud for doing this video. Yes always use genuine Honda fluids. Just not worth taking the risk

In this case, I agree. Owners manual mentions motor oil as an emergency substitute, but modern cat converter safe motor oil has insufficient phosphorus and zinc additive levels for gears. Sychromesh fluids intended for GM and Chrysler transmissions, such as Pennzoil, cost more. Redline MTL will work, but also costs more than twice as much.

I've subscribed. No doubt guy is cool.

Question: does the incline of the car in jacks etc matter when filling the transmission waiting for it pour out to signal it’s full?

Is this something i can do with the car on the ground or does it need to be jacked up and on stands?

What’s the process for telling the computer that you did the transmission fluid?

Where did you get that manual?

$12/qt on Amazon? It was only $8 at the Honda dealer parts department.

Right. I just bought 2 Qt. of Honda MTF and the 2 crush washers for something like $21 out-the-door at the local Honda dealer in Cleveland today. Amazon isn't necessarily the cheapest option. You pay for the convenience of having things delivered to your door in a timely fashion. Not to mention the fact that Amazon leverages its popularity and knows that a good amount of people won't look elsewhere for a plethora of items. All leading to Jeff Bezos' body growing closer to achieving the impossible--IMMORTALITY!!! lol At least he thanked his customers for paying for his stuff. :D
