  • The second part of the voting for the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest, presented by Pat Kenny & Michelle Roca in Dublin, Ireland.
While the UK starts to gain ground, Celine Dion still retains a comfortable lead, with no apparent threat in the horizon. But all this is going to change very soon...
(Also, in the evening's memorable quotes:
Michelle: Good evening, Spain, may we have your points, please?
    Spanish spokesperson:...
Terry Wogan: Apparently not. :-D )

DanBdx68 god knows where she got that idea from. It’s one of the easier words to pronounce in French.

Well played to the Dutch jury giving UK no points seeing their songwriter Julie Forsyth was well known in the Netherlands plus Scott Fitzgerald had a hit there before, her unbiased but sensible! "Do you remember the Danish entry?" Easy Terry! Lara Fabian of Luxembourg should've come 2nd

i dont hate terry but i do think he has had his day, i do like graham norton's witty comments but it does border on bad taste at times. why cant they just provide info on each song and singer and keep their opinions to themselves.

It's bad when they say first country after than points. Cause it's clear understanding how points get saying country. Must be first points after say whom that point is go, like now years 2012-2016

That year, 1987, when she became a butterfly, at 1: 27 of this vidéo; czcams.com/video/TBI5CN8Kaj8/video.html
    Vous ne pouvez pas savoir
À quel point on est seul
    Debout dans la lumière.
    Vous ne pouvez pas savoir
À quel point on a peur
À quel point où on espère.
    You don't know
    How lonely we are
    Standing in the light.
You don' know how scared we are.
    To what extend we hope.
Then on your side the emotion has risen
And that we have the right to expect.
    A Chorus, so familiar
    A song well deserved
That we are hearing from your hands.
You can not know how lonely we are
    When the curtain is rising.
Hanging on the hope to reach the height
    Where your dreams are nestled.
You should see us, after the premieres,
Browse the newspapers.( NOT That Much)
    Eager to know
    If we become hero
Or if we have to Start It over.
    Céline Dion;
It's not easy to face the black hole
    Thank you for being there
When, with a heart trembling with hope,
    I sang the first time.
Telling me that I had talent for
    Thank you for the applause
And for giving me wings, almost
    Thank you for the encore.
You dont know how much we feel lonely
    On a foreighner stage
    Through sunny or rainy day
    We go around the world
    like strolling players
