  • The Enoshima Electric Railway, which connects Fujisawa and Kamakura in Kanagawa Prefecture, has rails that run almost east-west.
Therefore, trains heading to Fujisawa from Kamakura Station, which is located on the west side, will have the sun on their backs in the morning.
In this video, I boarded the train leaving Kamakura Station just after 8 a.m. and took a cab view of the train to Kugenuma Station.
In the cab view of the train heading west, you can see Enoshima in the direction of travel. The snow-capped mountain visible beyond Enoshima is Mt. Fuji.
Parts along the way, inside tunnels, and when the train is stopped at the station are omitted. I apologize for the fact that the driver's gloves are visible in the photo.
The sound of the Typhon at 11 minutes and 15 seconds is probably the driver returning greetings to the child who waved toward the train.

Oh my god. To see that theres no need for security fences along the track shows how japanese people really respect their train system ❤👍

Isn't it good? There are many houses along that line that have rails right in front of their entrances. That railway has been like that ever since it opened. This is a traditional work.

However, this is the only railway line that can be used without fences.

There it is again, my favorite Japanese route 👍
You did everything right with the early morning drive: just like in the late afternoon hours, the light is pleasant because of its warmth and softness, which means that the pictures are much more interesting than with the hard shadows when the sun is high!

Thank you for your comment. This route runs almost east-west. Therefore, in the morning, the view of the cab of the train heading west will be bright, and Enoshima will also be clearly visible. However, what I need to note more than that is the congestion rate. Around noon, there are a lot of tourists, and I have to be careful. However, there are a lot of tourists, so everyone is happy.

A really great ride through a variety of urban scenery. I got a kick out of that race with the garbage truck. He looked like he was beating the train until the grade crossing tripped him up. I got a chuckle there.

It was an emotional car chase. But everyone who lives along this railway line respects this little train.

Travelers from within Japan also enjoy the scenery of this section. Many women are raising their voices.

Was the driver using the shisa kanko, 指差喚呼 'pointing and calling' method? Looking at the reflection of his gloves, it seemed so at times.
In my work , I've adopted this to reduce mistakes when I'm leaving an empty house, the doors are locked, power is off etc. It really works!

    • @14ikesan12

Japanese train drivers generally enforce the finger call(指差喚呼). It has been recognized as having a great effect on safety confirmation, and has become popular among private railways.
However, veteran crew members tend to ignore this (maybe out of embarrassment?), but this is not something that fans are comfortable watching.
I feel that there are differences depending on the company as to whether they do the finger call as usual or omit it because it's embarrassing. It depends on the training provided by each company.

    • @14ikesan12
      @14ikesan12  Před 2 měsíci
