Riding the Enoden (江ノ島電鉄, Enoshima Dentetsu) From Fujisawa to Kamakura. Filmed through the window to the drivers' cabin.
This train is one of the most iconic and loved trains in the Tokyo Region, and also one of the oldest, commencing operations in the year 1900. A long stretch of the tracks runs alongside the Pacific Ocean Coast, giving it splendid seaside views. Other parts of the track run so close to the surrounding villages and towns that you can almost touch the houses.
The entire line is roughly 10 km long, and in this video, I ride it from start to finish. Rail gauge is 1,067 mm (3 ft 6 in) and most of it is single-track. The Enoden is definitely one of my personal favorite trains in Japan, and I hope you will enjoy this ride.

I just finished a rewatch of "Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai" and then I come across this video from you. What a great coincidence! Such a nice train line for a nice city. Hope I can visit one day.
Also Elfen Lied.
The LN description for this view was so good
Thank you very much for recording this video, it was a great ride, and thank you for sharing this with railfans who are unable to be there.
We in California are still sheltered in place. I wish I could be on that train touring the city. Japan is a beautiful place.
IvanHunglin Sheltered in place?! I’m from California and I have been all over California by car, plane, train and city bus or the Greyhound bus. The bigger cities do have city trains that drives through or around the city or takes you to another state. There’s plenty of ways to see a city without using a car. There’s people who live in Orange County in Southern California and take the city train to downtown L.A. to get to work and back or just use the train to go sightseeing several counties away. There’s plenty of ways to get around California, because we’re not so sheltered.
Hopefully you will. I want to explore here on my next Japan trip. I had ridden before while growing up in Zushi riding a few stops to the Kamakura temples.
Japan is the best!

More like his Tshirt was revealed.
I've taken this train ride before. Thank you for the pleasant memory.
Amo Japón. Un país hermoso. En Kamakura hay muchos templos interesantes. Volvería muchas veces a visitar ese país .Gracias.
nostalgic🎵🎵🎵 Thank you for carrying Enoden for the first time in 30 years🚃🚃🚃📹📹📹
After this pandemic overs i will surely take ride on this. Love from India 🇮🇳
Bringing back sweet memories 😍. Thank you 🙆♀️
Kamakura and a ride on the Enoden are a must for anyone visiting Japan! And the rail crossing at 20:10 is the one in the Slam Dunk opening.
Thank you for the train ride. Really nice scenery and such good weather 😊
This train sounds exactly like Siemens EMU of Mumbai's Harbour Line Local Train while speeding up, applying brakes and running.
wow this train is so cool! has a nice retro vibe ^^ Stay safe out there!
I arrived to Fujisawa station by mistake wanting to go to Kamakura station, but in the end it was an amazing experience to ride the Enoden all the way to the big Buddha. Riding on those old train wagons next to the beautiful Pacific ocean is something I fully recommend.
The driver looks very professional. Thanks for sharing!
amazing video, absolutely loved it. This has to be my new favorite Japanese rail line. Such a great variety of scenery and that blue ocean, amazing! I also find it fascinating how close the houses are and the fact the train didn't slow down passed intersections. Keep up the great videos!
Thank you very much! I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed it!
i cant describe the nostalgia feeling after watching this amazing video keep up the great work cheers
There's a lot to see, and it's like I'm a train driver.

Greetings from Montréal. This is truly well designed system and it fits so well in the urban environment. It feels very human-scaled, clean, and cozy.
We’re half Japanese, and couldn’t travel this year. So, my 25 months old and I love to hop on this train everyday 😊 Thank you!
So so so so clean!!!!

GREETING FROM JAPAN!
15:57 imagine seeing a person doing a shoot there and then seeing them pass out. But then next time you see a bunch of camera men cheering and a happy Girl as the actor
(Bunny Girl Senpai reference)
Dont know but I find your videos very satisfying.
I didn't knew that they have only one or two tracks at a station, thanks for making this video 👍

Very nice. Very nice film that shows the deep surroundings of the Enoden line.
I'm living in the neighborhood of the Kamakura-Koko-Mae station.
Miss japan
amazing place… 🙏🏼
I liked the video.
I haven’t been on it for at least 12 years but I’ve always loved Enoden ☺️
This video made me think of the anime Slam Dunk too 👍
Good try! Good job!
I knew for the first time today that the train driver got up every station and opened the door.
My feel 🤩
Gostei muito desse video
Awesome Enoden video. Enoshima looks beautiful during the summer. But, the big question from A Channel anime: *Is it a train or tram?*
28:56 beautiful flowers
Passeio maravilhoso....gratidão amigo!
Good example of Shisa Kanko where the driver pointed to the signal and switch in his favour before setting off from the passing loop.
Whenever I think of Japan, It gives me the impression are clean, people are very nice, polite and abbey the law.
Reality can often be disappointing.
But not in Japan😂
Nice
I loved to trip for Hiroshima in this train🥰🥰🥰
I wish i could go to japan one day,,,, love from Bangladesh
Cool
wao nice to see
You should film the shonan monorail line! I've seen other youtube videos from it and It is beautiful this time a year
Great Suggestion! I'll check it out!
@@TokyoExplorer 👍
Tokyo Explorer it can be a bit rough in spots, at least it was back in '16. I had a hard time keeping my balance while holding the camera to the front window
So great firing this up and having some music in the background, still hearing the city sounds so it blends together. Low-key engaging even. Stay slow 😆 keep up the good work!
Thank you very much! 🙏
It must be great to ride a train in Japan.
