  • Well it's been longer than normal between videos but we're here at last.
Yes, I know the picture in the thumbnail isn't a Super Cub but it's a guide for this build.
The new project is another Guillow's model, but this time not a warbird but the Super Piper Cub which has been sitting in a drawer for over 3 years now waiting to see light. I want to make this a military scheme and have found one that will mean I get to try something new with pre-painted tissue paper and continue with UMX size electronics.
Thanks for your support and watching, please like and subscribe!!

I have used the same silver tissue. It definitely has a metallic coating. I have found if you put it on wet that it does shrink. The idea is to soak it really well eith wster mister and then Pat dry it on both sides with microfiber towel. The tissue is now limp and can be applied with glue stick or white glue. It will shrink quite nicely

That is a nice project. Cubs are supposed to fly nicely. I still have to maiden mine, too scared to do it. The silver tissue looks interesting, but if it can't be stretched so much it looses a bit of the point. It might shrink if you wet it from the other side. Then you could shrink only the top part so that it has a better airflow.

What are your plans for hingeing the control surfaces? I would think simple tape hinges applied on top of tissue would not be overly strong.
