They are good to use as an emergency guitar pick too. Rock on...
😅😅
Yep!
The best way to store rubber bands is in a large, airtight prescription pill bottle. It contains them well, and they won’t dry out.
I use them to close my bread bags! Phenomenal!
Genius
Funny
😱😬😩😵💫🤔😆🌞🌞🌞
😆🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I put them in my beard. I use them as a people repellant and it works.
Lady "MCGUYVER". 😅
I love what you do and I just subscribed.
I grew up in the 70s and my dad was so tight on $ we didn't throw anything away until we used it over so much that it fell apart. Like paper bags from the grocery store, Shoe boxes, padded mail envelopes, soda bottles with twist on caps etc.😅
My dad was accidentally saving the planet 50 years ago.
Recycle & Reuse!!!!!!!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Oh, cool; at first I thought you'd written a spoof on that old Beatles song...😮
You do not need anything for socks. You just line up two socks that match, and pull down part of the sock from inside of the pair over the other sock as you fold down the socks. You should be left with two socks now properly matched together, and if you did it right, and until you decide to separate them, they will stay together. I thought everyone knew how to fold socks. You can also do this with flimsy gloves too.
I've seen some strange ways of people keeping their socks together. I do the method you do.
It’s the simplest I would think...!
Ouch, you sound a little condescending instead of being just helpful. I don’t think you would mean to do that but…
@@wilhelmina8843 Did not mean to be condescending, yet I am currently often really tired, in pain, and not feeling well, so I can not pad what I say to make it sound better.
For someone to use things that they do not need to is wasting their time and effort and using old tags to match socks are not that helpful. Especially since plastic bread tags are now slowly being replaced with cardboard bread tags. Plus, there is a possibility that the tag will catch on the sock material and pull the material and make them run. When I watched this video I honestly felt bad that there may actually be people who did not know how to fold socks. If I had a camera I would have made a video on how to fold socks, posted it and gave the link instead of the written instructions. I am seriously considering begging a cousin to film me showing how to fold different types of socks so I can post it.
I would watch your video on folding socks!
Plus any other video you put out 😊
I always like to learn how other people do things. You know the old saying “There are plenty of ways to skin a cat”
If I don’t agree with the way someone does something I just shrug it off. It’s they way THEY do it. Not me 😊
Nice ideas but to say they are genious is a stretch.
If you put a bread clip on your flip-flops, then then become a pair of loafers! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's a bad dad joke.
🥁🤭☠
🤣🤣🤣
I disagree. Great joke.😂
@russbear31 If you laugh at your own joke or point out it is a joke, then its not funny anymore.
Lmao
I literally don't need any of those ideas but applaud your creativity. It's actually a GREAT brain activity, to take an item and think of as many non-conventional uses for it that you can.
I would’ve never think of sandals that was a good one. I really like that one.
I also use half of the bread clip to peel oranges and lemons 🍊🍋🍊🍋🍊🍋
I'd like to see that. 😮
Never throwing those away again!!!! Thanks for the video!
Any time!
We don't use bread bag clips in the UK anymore they're plastic. Manufacturers only use the cellophane tape here nowadays
You're doing better than U.S.
We still have them in the uk
@@bigivanharrison8844 Nope, haven't seen one for years
Just threw out a bread clip yesterday because I'm trying to cut down hoarding habits, but these re-uses are genius! Thx!
Me too, but these come also on bags of apples & other fruit, too! 😉😉👍🏼
😂😂😂😂
Next Best Thing Since
SLICED BREAD 🍞 WOW AMAZING 🤩
😆 I'm trying to convince my mother to cut back on her hoarding habits I hope she doesn't see this video.
lol @@tuffguydoe7937
😂😂😂 love it!!!!
They can help close the drapes in a hotel room. Ive never tried it but there's always a gap between them maybe that will help, clip them together.
With your matching socks slip one right into the other one. This does not compromise the elastic band.
I thought this was going to be about knitting or crochet....bread clips are excellent at keeping your yarn tails bunched up and secured out of the way. Good tips, all of em!
For the tape, I prefer a toothpick across underneath. But the others - thanks! 👍
For the tape, I just fold over the ends a bit so it is not sticking on the roll
@@tamaraj6909 same. No need to waste anything else.
@@tamaraj6909 I always found that to be the quickest, most efficient way🤷♀️
I've heard people say you're wasting tape doing it that way. But at the same time you lose stickiness when you put something else underneath it. So you're wasting just as much tape. Especially if you just fold over a small corner
Here in Australia our bread clips are now recyclable cardboard. I still have a few old plastic ones for the cord ties etc and always throw a couple in my wash bag when I travel.
Cool ideas. When I was a kid we used to snap off one of the hooks and then hook the clip itself onto our finger and flip them at each other. It got so bad in high school that there were clips stuck in the ceiling tiles. It was a good way to lose an eye back in the 80’s.
🤭🤭🤭 good times.
Checking the ceiling to see if there were paper clips, bread clips, or pencils. Anything that could be shot with a rubber band😄
Lol. I was in high school in the 80's, but I remember pencils and spitballs on/in the ceiling tiles. Lol
I've always saved my clips! Putting them in the kitchen drawers for a project! Now, I know what I will use them for. Thanks Andrea for these excellent ideas! 💡 💡 💡
Cute
This is the first time stumbling upon your stuff, and for your first video, I gotta say, I liked it.
Short and sweet.
I'm a knitter and use them to wind up the cast on tail of yarn
Seen these clips when I was a schoolboy 40 years ago…..haven’t seen them on bread packets where I live and other shops since then…
Not seen them on bread for years.
I used to put them on my bike spokes back in the 1980's
I use them on the ends of plugs on my surge protectors. It’s nerve racking when you need to unplug something and don’t know which plug is which😂
If you are wearing flip flops while traveling, stop it. It's unsanitary and dangerous. If you need to escape a plane accident, flip flops are not your friends.
You are so right.
My life changed after watching this transformational video
The best clips for your cell phone charger cords are the mini hair clips. I use the all the time it’s the best n for bigger cords I use the large hair clips
You have some wonderful ideas. I like the tape idea. I always used a pen or pencil to stick onto the tape dispenser and it was frustrating. And you have the best ideas for using the clip without using rubber bands that always break. Thank you.
Our bread is sold with that clip.
Here in Australia most of our bread clips are made from thin cardboard
You're way ahead of U.S.
Bread clips! I live in the uk & haven’t seen any since the 1980s. 😂
So what do you use to close bread bags with in the UK when you buy bread from the store?
@@19xxmichelle Bread is in either waxed paper that is heat sealed or the cheaper bread that is still wrapped in plastic is just twisted then taped. (Like a thin sellotape with the date on)👍🏼
I live near Cocoa Beach, Florida so your flip flop repair tip is a godsend for me. I wear flip flops every day so I've thrown away a lot of pairs because one pulled out of the hole or my puppy chewed the stopper down.😬 I'm a bread clip collector, because they have so many uses, so now I have a new use. Thanks so much.
a
Buy new flipflops !
I use it for a clip on nose ring. It says hey i can rock and roll when i need to, but also step up to the plate and fullfill my contract at work as well
In Australia we now have paper bread clips more environmentally friendly
Good ideas! Also put over guitar strap where it connects to the guitar - then it won't slip off.
They are the answer to a new value of exchange. I `ve been saving them for years. Two of them is equal to the price of a dozen eggs.
This is a Kwik Lock . Manufactured by Kwik Lock Corporation USA.
Regards to Gerry Paxton.
These clips were banned in the UK decades ago. Small babies got them into their mouths and choked to death. The shape of them allows them lodge in the throat, and every attempt to remove them just makes them get even more stuck.
Very glad to hear the plastic clips were banned in the UK long ago and that the clips are made of thin cardboard in Australia. I live in the US but family is from France and Switzerland.
The U.S. is certainly behind in comprehensive recycling measures and way behind in eliminating plastics compared to many other countries.
I always throw them away to cut down on clutter. Now I'll be saving them! Thanks. Just subscribed.
I knew I was saving bread clips for something! Thank you for the tips. Oh I've been wanting those sandals. I ordered a pair used your link. If I like them I'll order another pair. 😊
I use my breadclip as a cheap nose-ring - by the date stamped on it, apparently I expired several years ago.
Really lol😅❤❤❤
Your comment is hilarious!!
My tape rolls I just fold over like 1/4” of the end and you’ll always have a piece that’s easy to find.
LOVE the flip flop fix!!!
I just put about 15 bread clips on a twistie waiting for what to do with them! I knew they would be useful! (By the way, most flip flops no longer have that button on bottom, they are glued in between the top and bottom layers).
Wrong, all my flip flops are like that, standard dollar store flip flops....
Such a clever use for the humble bread clip. It's TRUE we throw them away, not anymore. Thank you Andrea.
They are also useful for tying up bread bags!
Doh! Isn't that their original purpose??
What about an emergency guitar pick?
These are now heavy paper in canada no more plastic
Aw man! I held on to a ton of these, trying to figure out what I can use them for. I will be holding on to them from now on. Thanks for the tip.
We joke that we save bread clips for my dessert. A few years ago I was eating a fish taco at a restaurant and thought I bit into a bone. It turned out to be a bread clip. The manager was nice, comped my meal. He offered more, but I was done and didn't need anything. Now we save them for the ends of tape rolls.
That last trick actually would have benefited me years ago when I was constantly pulling the rubber part through the bottom. I had my shoes taped up and it wasn't working so great.
You can get the bread clips in the UK, only there not on the bread anymore. There on the big headed spring onions.
I use them as guitar picks sometimes and also a makeshift strap lock, as long as it's not a heavy guitar.
Also, works as a clothes pin when you go camping and need to hang up laundered clothes.
Looks way too light & flimsy to hold a piece of clothing
You do you @@seriousorganizer
Hoarders will be happy to see this video 😂😂😂😂
I put one on my zipper
I do that with my socks before they go into the hamper, I separate them before they go into the wash. Socks really like living in pairs, by keeping them together as much as possible they seldom run away.
Lol.
Fantastic idea about how to save a pair of things that have a toe separator (?) come out of the hole. That happened to a pair of mine the other day, and good thing I was at home when it occurred, as I had to throw the pair away. So frustrating, but not now! 👍🙂
Bit of a stretch at some points, but good, and I agree, I keep these, got a large bag, and good uses are regularly found.
You can no longer use bread packet plastic tabs nowadays they have been replaced with card board tabs now, which are useless for anything especially when they get wet, it crumbles/gets soft
You are a genius planet saver
Those were all amazing tips. Thanks for sharing.💙
#1 BEST HACK--Ill try to describe as best as possible. I figured it out two yrs ago. If you get at least 3 of those plastic clips and put it under your FLIP FLOPS, Each on top of one another ( Layered ) each in a different direction. It will keep your FLIP flops from separating at the bottom. I add 3 in different directions because one of them usually breaks off in about 6+ months so you have at least backups. I would also keep extra in your car in case you need backups or your friends have issues with their flip flops. Best tip of the year 🎉
I have one more! I’ve used these as guitar strap holders! Hard to get on but hard to come off!
Recycling!!!!❤️I LOVE IT! It hated bread clips, not anymore.
Yay! Thank you!
I have about 800 of these. I should sell them
had not considered some of those ideas before.. but your idea kind of inspired my thoughts on cutting plastic packaging I will be throwing it away into the shape of the bread clips with scissors.
So cool...now I can use them like you showed.. so they don't go in the dumpster..keep coming with more ideas...great!..THanks!..maryc
When I run out of bread I eat the clips.
I actually have about 30 of the clips on my counter. Every time I buy bagels, I save the clip. You have actually given me ways to actually USE them. Lol.
Andrea Jean what is the best method for cleaning vertical blinds. I just changed apartments and want to keep them nice looking…
Pretty slick tricks there ma'am!👍Most impressive.😎
Did lots of electronic repair at one point in time. Utilized the clips in different colors for keeping wiring together to isolate them from others in the circuits. And it's a handy improvised guitar pic. I've used the clips for other things, but it would be boring for me to detail much of them.
I recon you don’t have kids or a washing machine?
Everyone knows how to fold socks, the problem does not lie there. The problem with socks arrive at the very moment a kid removes his dirty socks. Kids get dirt from head to toe, kids sweat like men and you want their socks thoroughly cleaned to kill the bacteria and get rid of the mud. If you fold socks before putting them in the washer, they do not get cleaned well enough. Socks that are not paired have a tendency to get lost, so bread clips in one way to keep socks together from the second the kid removes his socks.
Yes the guitar pick, done this many times. I'm really good at setting them down and loosing them for a bit, so I head for my kitchen drawer where I throw these things for all kinds of uses as well.
That's kind of a good idea I'm going to start carrying a couple with me from now on I could use it for a guitar pick😁
OMG! Bread bag clips have changed my life.
I keep most of these.
Thank you.
When I travel with my favorite loaf of Dave's Killer Bread, I keep it fresh and safe from slice stealers by using those clips! 🍞
Love the flip flop hack. I guess I will start wearing them again! 😊
now I need more bread clips
👍 Also useful to mark multiple cables or wires when adding outlets or wired devices.
Thank you!! I knew I was collecting these irritating plastic pieces for a reason.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
You are so welcome!
Thank you for the info about bread clips.
It’s so useful.
You are so welcome!
At the music store, we keep them for "poor man's strap lock" - for the guy who's guitar strap keeps sliding off, you can slide one of these over the guitar strap, around the strap button. They hold up for months! Use black magic marker on them so they blend in.
This one of the best idea videos I have seen in a long time. Thanks.
So glad 🎉
For heavy duty clip business use the clips from potato bags.
I saved them to rewrap my bread and tortillas but yeah I like all the other uses you have for them. I'd like to save the Big potato bag clips also
These are great ideas, but I was taught to throw bread clips away immediately as they’re terrible choking hazards. My mother had 8 children and one of us almost died choking on a bread clip. I forgot who. 😢
What about marbles? Coins? Game pieces? Etc. There were 7 of us. We kept those things away from the little ones. Including bread clips. So glad nobody ever choked on anything! Your poor mom.
My littlest sister used to stick things up her nose; that caused a heap of problems.
She is a Swiss Army Knife herself 👍🏼
I used it just to clip my old flip flops so that it will not be pull-out while walking. It works.
There's another one. I put It below my shaver bottom press in/out during my trip to avoid in and out. it's do the job perfectly and you need just a tape.
Sorry, on/off not in/out!
They might make good guitar picks, too.
This is probably one of the most useful bunch of ideas using off the wall items.
Thanks for expanding the use of the clip, I never really gave these things that kind of thought, but will utilize your suggestions, and tell others. Have an awesome day!
And you can all them milk clips because in Canada we use them to package the 3 L bags of milk in one plastic bag.
I got a similar idea. On window screen where the tab breaks off I’ve used the plastic strip from a gallon jug n installed n haven’t rebroked in over 6 years.
Wow, I will do that, thanks 🌻
Thank you, now I will start keep them handy.
Great!
I use them to lable power cords plugged into a power strip under my desk or behind the entertainment center
I picked a fine time to quit carbs.
Lol 😂
