      Ambient Occlusion Amazing?...It wasn't that bad, but...there was this something that was missing...maybe I only don't like it, because the MAC-Port was extremely glitchy...however imo Bioshock without Ken Levine is not the same...

      I think it was just it didnt have the twist or the mystery to it but then I treat it as a side story and its a good one in that regard. I think there is still hope for Bioshock. If they can get a good writer on there (and they try hard to find one) it can still have life. Just gotta be positive!

    Bioshock is my favorite Game series. It probably always will be. What Irrational gave to us with these games is astonishing when I really think about it. And knowing that Irrational is effectively coming to an end is going to make BAS Episode 2 bittersweet for me. Still, I'm excited to see how Irrational wraps up their chapter in the Bioshock universe, and I hope to see 2K treat the franchise well in the future. Here's to all the amazing times Irrational has given us, to BAS, and to the bright future of Bioshock!

    Thank you Irrational Games for what you did to the gaming community. I've been a gamer since I was 4, but it wasn't until i played the original Bioshock that I learned that video games can be much, much more than just something to pass the time or to have fun. It can teach lessons and inspire you. Your games had more of an effect on me than any others and I wish all that were involved in bringing these games to life good luck in the future

    "Hey there is all these supertalented people in Irrational Games, what if i (we) start a new studio with all of them? We wouldnt have to search talented people to make games, We would have then already. So they dont have to separate and spread such talented group. Maybe we convince 2K that we can deliver another Bioshock in time since they have worked of them before. We know what we are doing, when we make another Bioshock."

    • @Azatarot75
      @Azatarot75 Před 10 lety +1

      The achievements of this series cannot be overstated. Ken Levine and Irrational Games took one of the least story-friendly genres, the FPS, and was able to tell a series of stories that I would stack up against the original Twilight Zone series' best episodes (not coincidentally, the first two games take place during the 1960s and Infinite chooses a time period that TZ constantly used and referenced). RIP Irrational Games...and most certainly RIP Bioshock as we know it.

These games bring so much emotion and amazing story and indepth worlds to gaming and will never be forgotten also i will never forget those few days before bioshock infinite came out and how i played through the entire series in preperation for infinite and how excited i was when played those first few minutes of infinite and as for infinite it is and will always be my favourite game and i love every second of it. the detail in character voice acting character development, brilliant gameplay and so much more is outstanding as well as a kick as ending and so i say farwell irrational and thankyou Ken Levine for creating something which i never thought possible "the perfect game" cant wait for Burial at sea Episode 2 and wish all irrational workers the best of luck thank you again for the gift that has been the bioshock series forever thankfull ShockJockey16 (obviously im named after the vigor LoL:)

    Such an amazing journey, with even more amazing games, experiences, and achievements. Pity this is coming to a close seemingly due to the hubris and callousness of one person. But this about celebrating what these people achieved, and that deserves all the praise and feels in the world! Here's to hoping everything they created simply doesn't fade away.

    • @Azatarot75
      @Azatarot75 Před 10 lety

      Hubris would be letting the product get diluted into something like Call of Duty (or as I tend to call it, Cash On Demand). Callousness would be in simply dumping them out the door without doing things like this video to help them land their next job.
      Their place in game history is secure...but, like you, I want to go on to more good things.

    My proudest moment of you, guys,is how you've created such a twisted story, and the way you linked Bioshock Infinite world and Main Characters to Bioshock 1,2's Rapture world. Especially tying up those different stories into these consequences, which opened in the end of BAS. Brilliant!!!!
    And one more: BAS ep 2 gameplay is totally different gameplay. Almost like a different game at all if put away linking the story to the whole game-plot. Elizabeth lonely crawling in the dark corners, otherwise she dies easily and missing Booker. was sad.
    HUGE PS: I'm in LOVE with your Luteces. (You shoud be proud of them too)

      Actually, it was Levine's decision to do that. He wanted to take the operation down to the basics once again. 15 other people will be working with him on the new venture under the 2K umbrella. Words cannot describe the sadness I feel for your closure. I know you'll no doubt set up again under another name but these Bioshock games. Shit.
    I missed it when the first came to Xbox as I'm a PS guy but then it came to us too. I saw the demo. I downloaded the demo. I played the demo. The demo terrified me and I swore I'd never play it again.
    The next day I was right back into that demo and had the full game in my possession by the end of the week.
    The first Bioshock might possibly be my favourite game of all time. That feeling was enough for me to pick up the Ultimate Songbird edition of Infinite and I loved that too.
    All in all, now that this giant comment comes to a close, I just want to say thank you to all of you for making such fantastic games that have taken me through so many emotions and made playing games be such an exquisite pleasure.

      AppleBlossomUnicorn BLUESHYGUY8000 Here's a theory. I feel like I know EXACTLY how this is going to end, with booker going on to be Ryan but looking different because yaknaw splicing :D But then at the end of Bioshock Infinite booker uses the Bathysphere that only Ryan dna can use. Also as you know the lutece twins are both the same person but male and female versions. I feel like jack is the male version of Elizabeth and the tattoos that jack has has something to do with the Circle, You know "Will the circle be unbroken" from the main campaign of Infinite. Since Booker has tried so many times and failed as you can see from the Heads or Tails moment, the universe just keeps looping over and over again waiting for something to change aka "Will the circle be unbroken." Since jack has chain tattoos on his arms, he might have branded himself as a reminder of the never ending loop of the universe to prevent the paradox. And to back up everything, In Bioshock 1 Ryan and Jack are the same bloodline, and in infinite Booker and ellie are too. But that's just a theory :D

      The angle's too sloppy for me on that part to see that part of the right hand, which, by the way, would be your LEFT, just in case you're looking at the wrong hand.

      @333AFR Před 10 lety

      Azatarot75 Thanks to worry about my orientation skills, but yes, at 4:22, her right hand is on our left side and I give you the point that the image isn't super clear... BUT at 0:30 you can't deny that we see her right hand with her whole five right fingers on our right side...

      @Azatarot75 Před 10 lety

      Audrey Fauteux-Robillard Okay, I see that on this particular bit...but I don't think that's an accident. In fact, I've a feeling that's part of Ken Levine's final twist, much like the chain tattoos on Jack in the original Bioshock were part of THAT story's plot curveball.

      @Azatarot75 Před 10 lety

      Do show a little more imagination than that...the end of the saga is not necessarily the end of Liz. Have you considered that she might finally make it to Paris?

    • @bioshock9705
      @bioshock9705 Před 10 lety

      She still hasent been to paris!? What the hell has she been doing after bioshock infinite? It's been a couple years since then considering how different Elizabeth looks now.

    • @Azatarot75
      @Azatarot75 Před 10 lety

      Bioshock970 Hahahahaha....that is an interesting question, isn't it? Why would you assume that her time has been her own since she helped her dear dad out of existence altogether? When you're working with or for the Luteces, the things you need to get done are rarely the things you want to do.

    If 2K is going to let all these people go, apart from the fact that Levine wants them out of his studio, than what do they intend to do with the franchise ?
    2K shouldn't let these people go, they should house them at another studio. It would be a waste of talent to fire them.

    I hope this ending is amazing (which I have no doubt that it will be) and that Bioshock as a series (as much as I love it) can be put to rest. In a age where Movies and games are milked too much, I want Bioshock to just simply be put to rest with the great conclusion of Infinite and the Burial at Sea DLC

      I'm sorry, but that would be terrible. One of the main points of the story of Bioshock Infinite was that there is no choice. and to be given the ability to harvest the little sisters would be completly out of character for elizabeth.

    I was really hoping there'd be a Bioshock set on the Moon, year 1969 (The historical background would relate to The Space Race/Cold War). I'm gonna miss this series.
    Just one question though: Would having already played Bioshock 2 be necessary to enjoy this DLC more? I completed the first but the second is just sitting in my Steam library.

    • @Azatarot75
      @Azatarot75 Před 10 lety

      Having played all three of the main games, my guess would be no, playing 2 is not necessary to appreciate the final chapter of Burial at Sea. Having said that, get your ass in gear and play 2 as soon as you can. You'll be part of the nastiest custody battle in the history of gaming.
