- Hey everybody mel0n here welcome back to another video! Today we're going to finish up our review of the X-RayPad Jade & Obsidian skates! Now these skates REALLY impressed me, previously I always used stock skates but X-RayPad's new skates are so impressive I've been maining them on pretty much all my mice since I got them! Now there are some slight differences between the Jade and Obsidian skates and depending on whether you get universal or pre-cut sets there can be some differences in how they preform but overall X-RayPad's Jade and Obsidian skates are very solid and they're definitely worth checking out! I had that exact same issue trying to remove the jade skates. The adhesive separates from the dot and stays on the mouse. Unfortunate! Glad to hear the obsidians are reusable. Thanks for the detailed review!

Im thinking of switching the stock skates of my lamzu maya into the obsidian ones but im really torn cause i dont want to waste the stock skates. Thanks for the video, hope to see the comparison between stock/pre cut skates vs dots soon
i have the obsidians but not the dot skates on my maya and the are great but i would say the stock ones are as good as the obsidians in terms of speed i play on a skypad btw

Hey! So Lamzu skates are odd because of their design. Between the stocks and the pre-cut Obsidian set I'd say the Obsidians will probably be more controlled, but keep in mind you can always remove the sensor ring if the skates are too slow for you. The Obisidians will definitely have a longer life than the stocks will though.

Could you make a video, comparing the different mouspad options that X-Raypad offers?
It's not very intuitive to navigate their products and know what the differences are. A video covering this would be great!
Hey! I've been wanting to try out X-RayPad's lineup but sadly they're VERY expense to get into Canada so I doubt I'll be able to look at their full-lineup anytime soon sadly.

Which would you choose to main on NPET Speed M? I've recently tried Jade's on the Speed M and I find there is so much nicer feedback on the skates on this pad. It's also faster and buttery.
Jades 100%! The obsidians are OK but the jades felt best for me

Will the obsidian dots be good with the razer glass pad? A little worried that the harder ptfe might damage the coating
The obsidians won’t damage glass but they do have a lot of audio feedback, I’d recommend looking into the Obsidian Pros as those are specifically designed for glass pads! I did an unboxing of them a few weeks ago and I’ll have a full review coming out in a couple weeks or so!

Hey! They're the most universal skates I've tried so far, I use them on fabric pads all the time and they preform amazingly well (and they work great on glass)!
basically if I only use cloth pads then jades are the way to go? Not really a fan of glass pads and the only other one that'd wear them down more I guess are rougher pads like the hien but that's still cloth. I think aside from hard pads maybe the shidenkai would wear jades down faster but feels like jades are mostly the move
I use both the Jades/Obsidians on cloth pads. The jades wear as fast as shandard PTFE skates so you can use them on pretty much whatever you want (aside from glass, ceramic) and they'll be fine!
For mpc450 mousepad which is a cordura do you recommend jade or obsidian?
Really comes down to personal preference, if you want more control go for the Obsididians, if your want more speed go for the jades. There isn't really a "best" skate for a particular pad it's all personal preference.
Which one better for cordura pad? And does these skates r faster than tiger ice?
Either skate will work! The jades are on par with the Tiger Ice V2's I have, the obsdians will be slower and much more controlled.
i have a new vxe r1. do you recommend to change to obsidian immediately?
If the stock skates feel comfortable you can use them no need to immediately swap unless you prefer the feeling of the Obsidians!
Dots.... Jade xray or Tiger Ice v2 Dots or Corepads? Who ia better?
Sadly I’ve only used the X-RayPad skates, been meaning to check out other dots on the market I just haven’t gotten my hands on any yet

Hey! yeah there's a pretty big difference, from what I can tell the 2 dots = 1 donut skate. I'm still testing the donuts and I'll have a video about them out in a couple weeks but there is a big difference for sure.
Will the obsidian glide nicly on a speed pad?
Absolutely! Just a slower glide due to the control nature but still smooth!

I got the jade Skates and the friction is Not good but its fast i dont Like it my dav3 Stock Skates has Lower friction and its faster

I tested the Ice Skates v2, obsidian and obsidian pro, tj exclusives, all have higher static friction on my glass mouse pad compared to the full-width (not dots) corepad skates, LOL. I think I'll try a few more dot skates but so far, it is just not my thing.
