Hey everyone, welcome back to another episode of The mel0n Review! Today we're wrapping up part two of my review of the EPOMAKER TH80 SE! Hey everyone, welcome back to another episode of The mel0n Review! Today we're wrapping up part two of my review of the ESP Tiger Tang DAO SR. I just wish it were a little bit wonkly with a bit of thurdy on bottom and giggity at release, while sounding chuckly at the same time at the middle. I'm no expert but I do hate jeckly sounds.
For some reason I thought the keyboard was Hall Effect one đ but, nevertheless, great kb for fare price
I watched your video "The Future". I guess the decision like that was a very big decision in these days when there are so many product reviewers. But I want you to know that there are people who love your teardown videos just like me. Anyway, I will keep looking forward to your videos. Please keep up the great work and take care of your health. With respect from your Japanese fan.

Can we change the click pcb with the hotswapable click pcb of op1we (not a solder tiny pcb)?
I'm not sure, I'd assume yes given the design but I'm not 100% sure.
@@mel0nFPS does it have a same socket or not? I already bought the hotswapable tiny pcb, but i think i make a mistake, i bought for the op1we model. đ

Your reviews are top tier,I watched many reviews and no one talks about how abrasive the surface is,I found this surface way more annoying than hien. Can you recommend me a pad similar to this but not that abrasive and annoying?
Thanks for the kind words! In terms of "similar" pads, the closest I've tried lately would be the X-RayPad Origins Pro (soft base) as it has a less abrasive surface stitching while also being much more consistent on the X & Y axis.
After owning the sorav2 for a bit over a month now (going onto 2 months 2 week of next July) Iâve used it quite a bit sorry to say but I soon will need to buy after market skates my stock ones (control) have worn out heavily to the point it for any glide that well anymore.
Also comment on the material itâs a type of plastic I believe but they made it really thin unlike other mice.
I did notice the skates were quite thin on the Sora V2, wasn't sure about lifespan though. If you're looking for replacements I'd recommend either the X-RayPad Jade (speed) or Obsidian (control) skates! Those are the types I personally use and you can get them in full size stocks, Donuts or dots! Btw what kind of pad are you using your Sora v2 on?
6:29 there's tang Dao Shan hai which use poron that will stick to desk better.
I heard that the poron base ones were different in terms of their surface stitching too, I'll have to get my hands on a poron version and see what's different.
Are you gonna look into the new obsidian dot skates coming out?
Already on the way! I'll have a video on them coming out in a couple weeks!
Hell yeah. Gonna have to check out Potent gaming as a CANUCK.
They're great! Don't forget code mel0n over there!
Interesting. I have the Tang Dao SR and I feel that the Y axis gives me more speed. But I also noticed that it's possibly the surface of my desk
Interesting, what base do you have on your pad?
@@mel0nFPS I assume you're talking about my desk, it's carbon fiber patterned. I put it ontop of a deskpad and the issue is gone for the most part (I could feel that pattern on my desk specifically on the X axis). Also, should have specified that the Y axis does have more initial friction but static is faster
@@bluemangroup_1828 Oh I was refering to the base of the mousepad itself sorry. But thanks for the clarification!
@@mel0nFPS Ahh... I have the SR. So, the same base as yours
I have the Tang Dao SR and didn't like it more than my current daily driver: Meow Gaming Gear Ultracontrol V2.
How are the Meow pads? I heard they were surprisingly good!
i might need to get a meow pad just because of the name alone
@@mel0nFPS superb quality. If you told me it was a high-end pad that costs the same as LGG or Artisans, I'd believe you. But the great thing is that it was only half the price for me since I could order via taobao
@@scottwangkl8882 Good to know, thanks for letting me know. I'll try to cover them in the future!
Thanks again to Potent Gaming for sending over the TANG DAO SR for review! Check out their site here: potentgaming.com/
Crazy underrated
My most comfortable mouse was the pulsefire haste and have tried countless mice and still ended up with the haste v2 as my endgame shape, but theres a lot of downsides, including wire and bad firmware and qc, ive seen the waizowl cloud, zowie u2 and the vancer groove have similar shapes, i would like to say vaxee, but they dont ship to my country yet, ive found that i really really like the wide grip width and the flat sides the haste has and find stability with it, what mouse out of the 3, waizowl cloud, zowie u2 and vancer would you say are similar to the haste
The closest would be the OGM Cloud, which is also the best mouse out of the 3 you mentioned, still a little larger and wider but close still. The ZOWIE U2 has an awkward shape, and the Thrash is good but has some QC issues and a lower sensor position than other mice. I've reviewed all the mice you mentioned but the Cloud was the best. Oh, and there is also a smaller cloud releasing in the near future, WAIZOWL revealed it on their socials a few months ago.
Hi, I'm a gamer who plays mostly single player games on my pc like bethesda games for example. My PC is hooked to my living room TV and I'm looking for a wireless gaming mouse. I'm currently using a wired mouse with extension because I only have a wireless cheap mouse and the latency is so bad it's really noticable. I bought the Logitech G305 and the latency was perfect but the clicking sound was driving me crazy. I'm looking for a mouse that's silent so this mouse seems like it could be good for me but I'm not sure if I would get the same latency as the G305. I'm not really knowledgable on mouse tech so I don't understand everything you're saying in your review. Do you think this mouse could give me similar latency than the G305? Thanks!
Wireless latency won't be an issue here, you're more likely to have more input delay from your TV than the mouse itself in all honesty.
@@mel0nFPS Thanks for your help! Otherwise, is there a better mouse that you would suggest that's doing less clicking noise?
@@mikeCs333 Nothing that comes to mind, you can find mice with quieter switches but they''re commonly found on like office mice. The G3M pro would work fine in your usecase :)
awesome review! I was wondering what mouse skates would compliment this mousepad; specifically the X-ray Pad Obsidian skates or the X-ray Pad Jade skates?
I've used both, I liked the feel of the jades for my cm/360 but the Obsidians are totally usable too!
Does this work on mobile
How does this compare to the GSR SE Rouge?
I love my Waizowl Cloud. I kind of want to keep supporting them.
Definitely a company worth supporting! They're cooking up a lot of new stuff too đ
Will skates be interchangeable between the gpx1 and gpx2?
The Tiger ICE V2's probably not due to the poor adhesive, the YanZI's most likely but it'll depend how long you've had them installed. Both should fit on the GPX 1.0 and 2.0 without any issue.
@@mel0nFPS Okok ty ty just ordered the normal yanzi skates not the dot ones. I also have adhesive remover in case any gets stuck to the mouse đ.
love the review! i am oogling some he boards, but i am considering the wooting since boardzy is shilling for it đ
WOOTING is definitely the best out there but it comes with an insane price tag. The performance is worth it but the price is the big barrier. If you're looking for a cheaper option with similar performance the 60 HE is a solid buy though!
@@mel0nFPS I've seen a reddragonh 60he keyb with positive reviews for around 60$. but i think that will be of too cheap quality for long-term use. either way, i just bought new budget IEMs and 2 new pads so i gotta save up first for the keyboard đ
What polling rate do you use it with playing on Valorant?? Doesn't it stuuter on 8k?
I have an older PC so I mainly used 2 and 4k polling, 8K works but I get random frame-drops.
@@mel0nFPS Do you have motion sync on or off?? Idk which one is better for fps games like valorant sorry
@@equiknox_ Optional feature, I leave it on for most of my mice, better to leave it on in my opinion, no real downside to having it enabled
Nice review! I'm from Brazil as well as the other comment. I've been using the HyperX Fury S, but I'm thinking about getting the Ambition.
In my experience strider have a lot of speed but little bit of control too, so it really good mouse pad
they finally fixed issues with clicking in new batches got a pretty good one
Thanks for the detailed teardown needed this for trying out the lighter gx switches

Possibly! If I can get my hands on it I'll check it out!
@@mel0nFPS hey ive looked and ordered esp tiger Taibao it looks cool and price is around $35 plz check it out the design is cool
Just recently got an x2v2 medium size and I noticed the sticky main clicks almost immediately. I read some posts on it found the resolution by removing the small foam pieces under the anchors. It seems to have resolved all the issues I was experiencing. I didn't know about the rubber on the top until I saw this video, but I also haven't noticed anything bad yet, indicating that there is an issue (knock on wood). With the foam under the anchors, I didn't even bother to disassemble as much as this video demonstrated. I just used a safety pin after I disconnected the ribbon and poked the foam out from underneath and scraped as much of it away as I could. Seems to have been a quick fix with no noticeable problems thereafter. Just found you today on CZcams. Very good video. Concise, quick, and informative. Keep it up! =)
just got the sora v2. I also have 7.5" hands. finger tips is the way to go. Really love this mouse using x-raypads
The X2V2 is way more grippy as soon as your hand gets the slightest bit of moisture. I wish I liked the shape. I really like the MM712, so I tried the X2H and X2H mini, but found them uncomfortable. Tried the X2V2 and the X2V2 mini, didnt like them either. To be fair, I have a weird way of gripping the mouse. So far, the only mice I can do consistently good with are the MM712 and the MZ1 wireless. I want to buy the M42 wireless again. I didnt like it when I tried it about a year ago, but my grip has changed slightly since then, so I wanna give it another try. I have tried so many mice, Amazon sent me a message saying that I have bought too many items in new condition and returned them open, that I cannot do that so many times.
you should give a 1-100 rating for each pad and mouse you use, u have a very good perspective for reviewing keep up the content brother
Thanks! I was thinking of doing ratings for pads but due to how they're very subjective depending on someone's aim style I decided against it. I may love the pad for my aim style but other styles might not be compatible. I try to give as much info as possible so people can form their own opinions about products!
That feeling when Mel0n does a initial review and a pt. II but your order arrives tomorrow.
To be fair I was supposed to release the review next week but pushed it up since they had just restocked :)

Great review as always! Ordered speed v2 soft today, hope its softness is kinda similar to the Ruin's
I believe if you get the soft base on the Speed v2 it'll be the same as the RUIN!
your description of the performance, surface and plushness sounds very similar to the raiden soft, interesting to see that might have some true competition.
great watch! my ruin is going to arrive on friday!
Enjoy it! It's an awesome pad!
If you want to use a arm sleeve i found a solution: you have to shift the pad by 90°. This helped with all my sleeves tested.
That makes sense as there would be less resistance on a 90* angle. Good tip!
In my opinion they are way to thin so if you try to apply them they deform realy easy and become a pain to get positioned right
Which set did you get? Based on your description they sound like the Cicada WIngs 2.0 or Gecko's 1.0s. The 2.0's are really durable from my experience, especially when applying and reapplying them.
Really neat and detailed review!
Thanks so much!
I had an issue with my infinitymice control v2 with a little air bubble under the surface and infinitymice just closed my ticket saying i should contact maxgaming. They are a terrible company and I would not buy any of their trash products.
