    It's worth noting that the album version (The one released on spotify and probably everywhere else) has a whole piano intro this youtube video (and the in-game version) doesn't. I think for just listening it definitely makes the drop into the verse more satisfying but it's clear the in-game version cut that for the sake of being able to hear most of the song in a match.

    I wanted to throw in a comment quickly and say that Daisuke actually didn't do any track with "II" in the title. They were instead arranges of Daisuke's original compositions done by a Japanese metal band called "Galneryus
    ". Any song without a "II" in the title though is 100% Daisuke.
    It would be great to see them compared since opinions tend to divide on which version is better. I like a lot of Daisuke's original versions more personally but there's no denying that the arranges are really good.
    Also want to throw in a quick recommendation for the song Jaeger from BlazBlue: Centralfiction. It has some of the best rhythm guitar work Daisuke has ever done in my opinion.

    Yep, this is what happens when you take Ishiwatari's music, and tell Power Metal band *GALNERYUS* to do their own take on it.
    They did this for the entirety of the battle themes of the first two BlazBlue entries, differntiated by the "II" added in the song title. Personally, I strongly recommend "Endless Despair", and I specifically recommend you listen to both versions back to back - they each are amazing songs, but I'd say that the bassist and drummer went completely insane on the second version!

  • @SolMrBadGuy
    @SolMrBadGuy Před 2 lety

    Both Gluttony Fang tracks are really good at showing the two sides of the character.
    One is Hazama - the layed back dude walking into a bar, you can assiociate him with the piano.
    The other is Terumi - the hard guitar riffs.
    When all of it is combined it paints a nice picture of his madness.
    while I like II, I feel the first track of Gluttony Fang does a better job at that.
    Example, Gluttony Fang you can hear the trills of the Piano, II not so much.
    The trills are really important as they become more violent as the song goes on, which shows Terumi is trying to show up. The track gets more distorted with the two instruments battling it out, until it reaches that breaking point and the guitar just explodes.
    really interesting to see Daisuke bring it back to the chorus, instead of ending it with that, because I dont recall Hazama/Terumi to really be a redeemable antagonist.

    I know taste is subjective, but I'm personally not a fan of the remixed BlazBlue music. There's just something about the way the songs are mixed and the way the guitars sound that just put me off. The overabundance of keyboard synth kills many of the songs too. Sorry for being so negative, but the BlazBlue soundtrack is very dear to me and the remixed music was a miss for me. I should also mentioned these arrangements were not done by Daisuke Ishiwatari himself, but by Yuhki, a member of the band Galneryus.
