- The new MikroTik flagship with the power of a whole fleet. Unleash the power of 100 Gigabit networking with L3 Hardware Offloading! This router can be a handy drop-in upgrade for existing CCR1072 setups.
- Věda a technologie
This has by far the best Hardware design of any CCR to date. The cooling design in particular is a major improvement on previous products, it will keep the SFP cages cool as well as keep good air velocity
This is one fast potato!
but cant handle 900k prefix with hw ofload
@@wulandarojat1 it would be amazing if it could.
Hopefully future products are able to handle multiple full tables in Hardware.
Well done Mikrotik, this is definitely a big release, really looking forward to this one
Impressive! Excited to see this. Nice work Mikkroik! Like always just in time!
Really awesome looking hardware and would love to get some of these devices to run my own tests. Sadly we recently bought more 1072s and need to stick to v6 devices until v7 is in a good space for the ISP market. But when v7 is fully polished I really am looking forward to putting some of these incredible looking devices down.
The Mikrotik was for other level!
It's very good!
cool idea bit of everything in one CRS - 2G - 24XS - 4Q - 2XQ would pair nicely as a top of rack switch with the CRS354
Nice too see Janis getting younger
I'd hoped MikroTik would be able to get access to graviton 2 for the future of ccr1072. Looks like Amazon may not have released it for non-AWS use yet. Despite that this is quite an impressive offering. I'm loving the combination of AL chipset with Marvell ASIC, it's got magic written all over. I think with RouterOS v7 updates over the next couple of years, this would become a true beast.
it looks the best ccr that mikrotik made
just ordered 4 of those for a new WISP deployment in Greece 😆😍💪
Time for some upgrades to our CCR1072 stacks!
Good job , Mikrotik ! But when will it be on the market ? One more thing, regarding the video of launching CCR2004, there was a PC version of it in the video. Still not able to find it on the market, when it will be available ?
Looks great! How will it behave as peering router with multiple full table (v6 und v4)?
Keep up the good work!
This is sick, cant wait to get my hands on it
Nice indeed. Also really like the video and presentation of all the important details.
That is a bit of overkill for me, but cool system. My routing needs are only 25Gbps, and I do this using custom 2U system with asrock rack mobo, ryzen cpu, broadcom nic and vyos. And that will be ok for years, but for 100G, definitively I would need something more, and ths CCR2216 looks really good for 100G.
For switching on the internal network, I am happy user of CRS504-4XQ-IN on 7.15beta6, connected also to a S5860-20SQ, and some other switches (one 10G switch and and few 1G, total of about 150 ports), but with time a product not dissimilar to CCR2216-1G-12XS-2XQ might replace both of the core routing and switching.
Like how you really rise the bar at every price point.
4K Janis 🤩
The CCR2216 is a great upgrade for the CCR1072 because the interface 2XQ is other level!
Great piece of hardware, I will like to use the CCR2216-1G-12XS-2XQ to power Ubiquiti Air Max 15dBi 2.4 sector antennas, any advice from you guys?
I need a quiet version of this so I can put it in my living room. How loud is it and how easy is it to swap fans to silent ones, e.g., from Noctua.
Am I watching a router presentation, or a Terminator movie sequel?
Are you a network guy or a fashion guy?
100G, Poggers! 🔥
Mikrotik vai dominar o Mundo
Thanks, I am waiting...
when they say "working hard day and night" they mean it!
To add what - what switch functions aren't available?
Good job ! But what about AWS Graviton2 ?
Question: I have CCR1036-8G-2S+ installed and it works as a gateway on a 2500 PPPoE network. But I need more than 10 Gbps to pass through the CCR. Which of the CCRs is best suited for such tasks?
I hope mikrotik can release v7 long term soon
It's an unlisted video but here we are 😄
Calling the police 😂
Do you have plan to build 4x100G port like CRS305-1G-4S+IN ? It will be great for regeneration points in telco and similar case use?
Mighty!
Hello, I would like to know, when will this equipment arrive in Brazil?
We can use this, thanks :)
Is there a difference in CPU performance between 1072 (72cores) with 2216 (16cores)?
OMG! This is crazy.
Wow 🔥🔥🔥
@servethehome can't wait to see your review of this.
impressive
A powerful MikroTik with 16 64 byte cpu and 16gb ram and 2 M.2 sockets but not tested to 100% performance other OLT. And the CCR2216-1G-12XS-2XQ's MikroTik software and different works with zerotier vpn, DHCP, PPOE, CGNAT and etc ?????
Is it possible to make a router with a swap able ether/sfp port...
Now, this is good..
У этого коммутатора будет совместимость с Port Controller/Extender?
I would like to know at what cost this equipment will reach the market. Because here in Brazil the costs of the 1072 are already very high
List price 2795$, much lower than any competing device with such ports
Please Add another heatsink for the sfp
Finally
very nice!. as i see the box has on-board soldered RAM. the CPU could support more, up to 32GB, with would be nice as we have the 2 SSDs and we could run workloads in containers later...
🔥
I want to ask if this equipment is useful for me to receive a 100G internet link and upload several uplinks to an Extreme switch using LACP, to distribute the internet to a large number of users.
I just wanna know, are regular unexplainable and unexpected reboots still included in the price? ..after all, that's all the CCR1072 "flagship" was good for. If yes, are the daily reboots quicker now with hardware offload?
If you are seeing any kind of unexpected behavior, simply email us and our support team will help. It could be caused by a bug in the software, so make sure you upgrade to 7.2 latest. It works great with 7.2
I don't need it, but if someone gives it to me as a present, I promise to make a good use of it.
Will there be a verion with 32GB of RAM later? I think with a device with those capabilities it would be very beneficial to have an 32GB RAM option.
Then this device could be an direct competitor to the Juniper MX204 in the routing department.
16GB RAM is getting a bit tight with multiple BGP fulltables in a provider network.
We're close to hitting 1,000,000 routes (currently 914,818) in the global IPv4 routing table alone.
This is no Juniper. In MikroTik RouterOS 1 million routes takes up around 256MB of RAM only.
@@mikrotik Thanks for your reply!
This is one heck of a message :D
If I can get my hands on a CCR2116-12G-4S+ I'll give it a try (they are sold out everywhere for me).
Does this equipment stack?
Does the 100G ports compatible with 40G? I couldn't find information.
I'm searching too...
why all new ccr came without lcd ?
IPv4 Table Route Size: less than 1/5th of the Internet's full route tables =(
Is it just me or did Janis put on some weight since the last video? Or is it just an illusion because of the different lighting? :D
Has Mikrotik already cured problems with constant sudden reboots on previous CCR2000 series routers?
If you are seeing any kind of unexpected behavior, simply email us and our support team will help. It could be caused by a bug in the software, so make sure you upgrade to 7.2 latest. It works great with 7.2
@@mikrotik 7.2?? I see no stable release for 7.2. Are you suggesting your users using rc software?
whooo hooooo
Can this accept the full bgp routing table in a dual-home architecture? Mind you, the full bgp global routing table is over 900k routes.
It will easily handle at least two feeds. 900K routes in RouterOS v7 only takes up 80MB of RAM.
Hi! Are you planning to make the same model, but with 10 gig ports?
We already have that. See previous videos
@@mikrotik no we want a brother to this...replace all 100G ports to 25G ports and all 25G ports to 10G ports...that is what we want for like $1500? that will sell like hot cakes
@MikroTik so will be like an upgrade to this CCR2004-1G-12S+2XS but with L3 hardware offloading...thanks in advance
o m g !
how can I Hardware Offload BGP? I have a 2216 running bgp with 4.5Gbps and is between 33% CPU
Will there be black theme for winbox in V7?
Yes
Hello! I got a question, just purchased ccr2216 and I trying to understand why is there a qsfp28-1-1 , qsfp28-1-2, qsfp28-1-3, qsfp28-1-4 and so on for the qsfp28-2? Can somebody explain it better for me please? I will appreciate it. Thanks!!
It depends what module you will plug in. If it is a 40G module, the 1-1 link will be active and running at 40G. If you will use a module that is a 40-to-10G splitter, then all interfaces will be active
Release date?
Freakin’ Monster
Using this Hardware but not offloading the Mpls traffic from the CPU.
Winbox is support of macOS ?
Yes
Даешь cluster нормальный! или хотя бы stack!
8k NAT connections? That's not wery impressive. We're running a bunch of CCR 1036 as centralised NAT boxes, and our contrack with only 4Gbps is attacking 200k NAT entries. 8k NAT connections is very limiting.
8k HARDWARE NAT entries. The others are getting processed by the CPU.
@@pooshrulez ok, we'll se what the CPU can handle. I'll purchase one to run some performance tests
100g .. can it really handle
Try it. It can handle a lot more. 100G is only a single port here.
Finish routerOS v7 please, make it stable and make all the feature work just like v6
Ok 👌
SD WAN?
Yes via ZeroTier
@@Andrew_Thrift I'm not totally sure. ZeroTier =/= SD-WAN, how does the MikroTik incorporate application aware traffic and automatically moves internet services between alternate paths for the best performance?
Wow, thats awesome. Have you already fixed long time reported issues with ccr2004? Amateurs.
Since you asked, yes we have
@@mikrotikare you sure? My support ticket SUP-69021 is resolved?
I will trade my car for this amazing device 😁
It is a MikroTik product. I doubt that you will have to sell your car or house in order to afford one.
How to buy sir
mikrotik.com/buy
Shut up and take my money
Company just bought one unit. The argument now is to use V6 or v7. Lol.
7.3.1
"decent nand storage", aka 128MB
It does have slots for NVME
@@mikrotik Yes, and this is really the way to go for any non-os storage. I just thought the wording was humorous, but it was apt as at least it isn't 16M or 64M.
@@mikrotik Could you please clarify? In the brochure it states TWO M2.SATA and NOT TWO M2.PCIE/M2.NVME.....
Mikrotik making cisco run for their money...
wtf ? testing on people or with people ? every new hw have trouble... thanx to RoS. it is said that no final version was ever released, only the beta version was successful sometimes ... after the release about half a year and then maybe and still with apprehension to buy 🙃
It works great with the latest software. If you see any issues, email us and we will check your config
this device cant handle full route with hwofload.
Easily can. If you need help, email us and we will see what’s wrong in the config
@@mikrotik hw offload 120k .. 3 isp full prefix 900kx3..
Mikrotik team, with all due respect to your day and night efforts, this beast is useless without the right software features.
PFSense and even those joke boxes ubiquity calls routers support DPI, IPS/IDS, Application specific bandwidth control. A few features to mention among critical other features a lot of users have been demanding for ages!!
I’ll keep my comment within routing scope as my disappointment in wifi performance in your wireless APs is BIG!
It’s sad I have to mix and match multi vendors in one environment because your equipment line does one thing so great but other things so poorly..
Again, I see improvement lately but your focus needs to be on your routeros and the critical features it could be capable of!
Those are not routing features, this is a router
@@mikrotik Thank you for your reply. I am aware. However, the mentioned above features do need a beast of this size when running in business environment with a large number of users no?
You guys are doing amazing on hardware level. I can’t say a word about your hardware but software wise you really need to level your game please.
I’ve been doing Mikrotik for years and I wish to keep doing Mikrotik for more years to come.
Please understand that my comments are out of sadness that these features and many others have been circulating the threads of your forum for so many years yet never implemented.
Thank you ❤️
@@mikrotik Yes but you make not only routers, and your switches are missing theses features too ...
Dude, pfSense is a firewall so you'd expect it to have layer 7 functionality. Incorporating that into this kit would kill the throughput as it'd have to go through the CPUs, not the L3HW forwarding. The Ubiquiti kit has throughput of a few gig a second.
That said, RouterOS7 supports containers so if you really wanted that stuff you could happily install it and people have :)
Good GOD, the tongue smacking in this video.🤮 Drink a glass of water before shooting a video. Great product launch btw!!!
