    @JeroenvandenBerg82 Před 2 lety

Finally! I have been looking for this router. But don't rule out the home enthusiasts and small businesses and only focus on ISP's, I was looking for a way to add 802.3af/at to my network but did not want to add ANOTHER device to my network. Now I just replace my RB260GSP and RB4011iGS+ with this and power all the small desktop switches, camera's and accesspoints throughout the house from this one device instead of separate power bricks, marking it more efficient, simpeler and power redundant.
It's powerful enough to route and firewall my gigabit fiber connection as well as VPN and QoS without breaking a sweat.
For a small business that uses all wireless laptops and a couple of AP's (seen more than once) you always need a extra 5-8 port PoE switch and a router just for a setup like that, that can be done with just this router. Or a slightly bigger network with just a couple of accesspoints and wired connections you can use this router to power the AP's and camera's and use a non-poe switch to get connectivity to the desktops.

My order of 9x CRS354-48P-4S+2Q+RM from September 2021 (!) was delivered last month. How am I supposed to do business if I can't sell anything?
Even with me selling mostly my knowledge (most parts on stock, haven't outsourced my brain to china yet), the customers need hardware for their networks too and this delays some major projects. With no good explanation from Mikrotik because other vendors like Lancom or Aruba (or even homeuser-only products like AVM or Ubiquiti) are mostly on stock.
This doesn't make it easy to stick with Mikrotik for network equipment, with the actual prices and deliverytime on parts I can even upsell to Lancom-based solutions with only minor discussions, at least for the businesscustomers.
Have fun with your wAP Audience, if it does really arrive in the meantime...

Truly looks too good to be true. Considering the absolutely enormous supply chain issues with MikroTik POE devices over the last year though I am justifiably apprehensive. Hell, it has been near impossible to get our hands on a Netpower 16p. I want to try this so bad that it feels like it will be available sometime around 2030 lol.

I had the same experience. Ordered MikroTik AC AP, waited for a month. The store ended up cancelling the other. Went with TP-LINK Omada instead. For home use could have been enough to set up Honor or Huawei WiFi 6 router as an AP for under 40€ but I wanted to test out Omada since it was pitched as a Unifi alternative. I'm not disappointed :).
Hopefully MikroTik will have WiFi 7 AP by the time I decide to change mine :)

Ideal for small home networks, POE on every port is really good.
I wish there were a few more 2,5Gbit Ports and at least an additional SFP (for the DSL-Modem in SFP-Form factor, 10Gbit not needed...).
And it would be great if there would be ANY mikrotik devices on stock. Not a single 802.3at/af POE-Switch is on stock (at least in germany and at the moment), no cAP, no hAP AC (with the practical POE-Port für DECT-Bases when fed with 48V)

Очень доволен данной моделью, - не смотря на отсутствие wireless как у rb4011,- вывозит всё что угодно, для небольшого дома и малого/среднего бизнеса самое оно, а в некоторых местах, думаю, и в большом можно применять!

What's the point of single 2.5Gb port? I think majority of users doing 2.5Gb networking use it to connect PC with NAS.
Also it's awesome that all ports have PoE+. But with 420mA limit, even with 57V adapter (which you don't even sell, and this comes with 48V), it just barely won't be enough for Raspberry Pi 5 which needs 25W to power USB drives.

      No, ether1 supports A/B, but ether2-8 B-only

@@stanisawbiaas827 Just get rid of cheap devices which don't comply to standards - PD have to support A AND B, so there is no real issue with Mikrotik supporting B, all standard-POE devices will work with this.

Until proper documentation, or at least align the current one with these new devices, these are just fancy expensive bricks. On the other hand, is this the novelty? Are you bragging about POE in 2022?

What is not correct in the current documentation about these devices? And about PoE, if you don’t have a need for a powerful router with poe on its ports, it’s simply not a device for you
