    Have you managed to get WOL to work with this card? I've just got one to test but can't seem to get it set up correctly. I have all the settings enabled in device manager & in bios, including WOL via PCIE, but for some reason there is no light to show this card has power to it when the machine is in a 'sleep' state.
    I have WOL working to the main board's 1gig adapter, but ideally I would like this 10gig card to work with WOL too.
    I tried to get in touch with their support, but my e-mail bounced because their support inbox is full 😂

    Would you say this card could possibly provide more stability over the B550m Pro 4 onboard LAN (Realtek RTL8111H)? Mostly in regard to online gaming/ping times. Thanks for the video!

      PCI-E is universal between Intel, AMD, and others. There is no special consideration for either, barring some rare incompatibility.
      Your motherboard has 2.5Gb Ethernet built in:
      Intel® 2.5GbE LAN chip (2.5 Gbit/1000 Mbit/100 Mbit) (LAN1)
      Realtek® 2.5GbE LAN chip (2.5 Gbit/1000 Mbit/100 Mbit) (LAN2)
      You need to upgrade every link in the network between your modem/ONT/termination point and your computer.
      So, if you have a modem, then a switch, then your computer, you might need to upgrade your modem of switch to get to 2.5Gb and a card similar to this to get to 5Gb speeds.

    • @BearBlair
      @BearBlair Před 5 měsíci

      400 would be in megaBITS, so it actually turns out to be 50 megaBYTES when talking about file size. this essentially wouldn't do anything to improve speeds if your device can already get 400megaBITS down/up
