    A beautiful bathroom from a craftsman indeed. When I have won the lottery and build my own penthouse suite I will certainly call on you to fit a bathroom; and the kitchen if you do those too.

    Great video enjoy watching it. Wonder if the frame system also work with Saniflo system? We live in a flat taking one floor converted from what used to be a whole victoria house. None of my neighbours ( on other floor flats) could use without sanifio system; we all have the bathrooms in the middle of flat :(

    For fixing to block work do you dot and dab or spread the adhesive over the whole board?
    It's about the only thing I cant find an answer to on your videos!

    Great quality build, what would I be looking at price wise for the whole thing?

    • @ianpattison7367
      @ianpattison7367 Před 7 lety

      Thank you Ryan. It really completely depends upon the price of the taps / sanitaryware etc. that you choose. We have different price levels of product however the build quality remains the same. A typical bathroom may £2-3 K at retail. Happy to send you one of our new brochures when they arrive next week if you like ? - please just send a request to enquiries@abacus-bathrooms.co.uk

    Quick question regarding the flooring. Since adding the elements floor board and the tiling on top, how do you compensate for the transition from tile to say carpet?

    • @AbacusManufacturingGroupLtd
      @AbacusManufacturingGroupLtd  Před 6 lety +1

      Our Elements board is 10mm and tile & adhesive is generally about 12mm - this equals a total of approx. 22mm. This is normal in tiling UK timber floor bathrooms as normally 9mm ply is used as opposed to our 10mm Elements board. The 22mm build up is obviously approximately the same as carpet and underlay which is generally on the outside of the bathroom, however this would depend on the exact floor covering used. Hope this helps

    • @AbacusManufacturingGroupLtd
      @AbacusManufacturingGroupLtd  Před 6 lety

      Hi goksonline87, thanks for commenting. We believe there would always be a benefit to insulating your pipes (to improve heating efficiency and also for noise reduction), however, it's worth bearing in mind that you are already within insulated walls if you're installing your new bathroom with Elements Insulated Waterproof Board (as shown in this video). Learn more about the insulated waterproofing boards here - bit.ly/waterproof-board

    Superb and Awesome video with great attention to detail!!! Located in the USA, where can one purchase ABACUS products (INFINITY TRAY KIT - 12 X 9 LEFT HAND (EMKE-L7-1209))?? Current project is a left-hand shower, like to have an onsite adjustable linear drain cut to size using your left hand form such that large tile (12" or 20" square) entering either from the front or right remain so without tile "fall"cuts near the linear drain, is this possible? Floor height is not thick for this project (existing not new const) and will require floor under floor form and linear drain to be lowered to joist height (have seen your videos on this).

      Thanks for your comment kc0rock and greetings from the UK! We're delighted you've enjoyed this video guide from Roger Bisby at Skill Builder and we thank you for your interest in our bathroom and wetroom products. Unfortunately, at this moment in time, we don't currently have any distribution partners based in the United States, although this isn't something we're completely ruling out in the future. We wish you all the best in finishing your current project and stay tuned for more bathroom and wetroom guides and inspiration here on our CZcams channel!
