However, allen iverson revolutionized the game with his ball handling and fierce scoring. Also, Allen Iverson made it to the finals. Tony Romo is ass in the playoffs anf is always getting hurt. Plus Allen Iverson crossed over the best player of all time. But Tony Romo almost lost against the lions in the playoffs.

Allen Iverson was also a racist thug who started a riot and attacked white people and got out of jail free card because he was black.
So yeah, Iverson got it way easier than Romo. I don't think Romo could go with some of his big white offenseive linemen and start a race riot and have the community and establishment kiss his ass.
      Wouldn't happen.

For those who want to know, I'm a black man. With that begin said, Will Cain is right on this one. The Romo retirement celebration is all about Romo's consistent loyalty to his team, city and all the fans. Nothing more. Championships and other awards aren't the only things that can be celebrated. The intangibles merit gratitude as well. In conclusion, in this case, your statement is utterly ridiculous. Please have a seat Mr. Smith.

with Tim Tebow. I think it had more to do with him wearing his religion on his shoulder.. This whole tony Romo thing. I really don't think it has anything to do with race. But, I don't get why Romo is being celebrated like he was as good as Troy Aikman.

Mike Tank Brown ll it’s because Dallas fans have a weird hard ok for Romo lol I live in Dallas but I’m a Broncos fan and Dallas fans are just weird people for guys that stay on the team. Written and Romo for example will always be legends even though neither has a ring for doing a lot for the community and being on the team forever

This might be one of the worst debates in First Take history. Cain is 100% right, some athletes regardless of race have a special relationship with some cities. It happens in baseball the most where some cities idolize utility players. Its only this big becuase its regarding a Cowboy. SAS making this a matter of race is one of the stupidest things I have ever heard. What will this guy make-up next...?

This may be the first time in my life I've ever said this but Will Cain is right. Stephen A. made something about race that never was. I'm glad so many others in the comments agree and see it the same way. I'm the first to want oppression against minorities realized and fixed but when you start going down this rabbit hole of "Oh, Tony Romo got invited to play basketball and not a black man, how racist." You invite people on the other side of the debate to say "see it's you making it all about race not us." And for what it's worth when it comes to this conversation they're right. SAS doesn't know when or how to play the black card, Max really is blacker than he is.

Kellerman telling Stephen A. to "leave race out of it for a moment" is like telling Carrot Top to do a show without his props. That's all he's got, Max. Without the race card, there is no Stephen A. Smith and there is no First Take.
