I hadn't noticed how much influence from surrealism the artwork in Omar's Stuff has, the inner artwork on those sleeves reminds me of some paintings from Joan Miro's surrealist period

Amazing box set!!! As a big Omar Rodriquez Lopez fan i am jealous, i could never afford to have this. I bought most of these albums over the years either on cd or digital and have a handfull on vinyl. But still, i am jealous, would love to have this box set!!!

The original vinyls for the ones that originally released were better pressed. The Sound is better. just like the original early Volta records have better sound quality for the quality was better.
GSL was top standard. As were the other little labels he used.
They used better materials back then.

Good lord the QC problems with this thing are going to be insane. I can barely get a brand new 2-LP pressing delivered to me clean these days, so uhh… there’s no way that every single one of those 57 discs are going to be completely free of scratches, marks, non-fill, stitching and warps. I’d be absolutely stunned if they were.
Every one I’ve seen has been flawless. 🤷♂️ they did a good job from what I can tell.
I just got 4 brand new Radiohead reissues, all from different sellers, and every single disc is warped, and one is off center. It’s ridiculous. The future estate sales are going to suck
The static electricity on the paper sleeves of this box set are so intense on my copy that the first two releases I pulled out majorly scratched and scuffed.
Pretty sure Roman Lips has some scuffs I didn't cause as well.
Sandbag LTD has been dragging their feet on assisting as well.
This feels like a Portlandia skit.

Is this possibly some sort of world record (ha) for the largest vinyl box set? I know there are some CD box sets that have more discs, but I'm not finding any vinyl sets even close to this.

Dylan I forgot to ask you I know this a completely different record but have you got the steel mill green eyed god album and I have to say that bang album you showed the other day is brilliant I listened to it years ago and didn't listen closely enough it's my next album I want but I want a UK one which I was surprised to see it was released here, that boxed set must have been more than a thousand?

Im more of an At the Drive In fan (surprised no mentions of that band here) and i enjoy Mars Volta but only listened to early stuff. I never realized Omar did this much solo stuff
