As a filmmaker & composer, Omar Rodríguez-López has always documented his life & the careers of his bands on film. Handing over decades worth of intimate & personal footage to Director Nicolas Jack Davies to tell the story of Omar & Cedric in "Omar & Cedric: If This Ever Gets Weird" took an immense amount of trust, creative understanding & faith. This session focuses on the themes of Trust & Creativity in creating art, as discussed by filmmaker Nicolas Jack Davies and composer/filmmaker Omar Rodríguez-López (The Mars Volta, At The Drive-In), each with their unique perspective on the subject material.

Brother we wish we knew. Seems its not had a release yet, its just doing a few film festivals currently and will probably get released eventually

50:09 its funny cuz he IS a great guitar player but sometimes he hits a lot of notes out of key on the guitar and i just go like "nah those aint the wrong notes, thats just omar's playing style, its cool." meanwhile omar is probably in his head like "i fucking hate this shitty instrument" lmao
