Yugioh has had collaborations with other game series like Monster Hunter for example. (in Monster Hunter, you can get a costume based on the silver-haired Dark Magician)

One thing about this you may have missed is he’s not only in those series, but EVERY Yu-Gi-Oh! series has him hidden somewhere in the background. He’s a high council alien in Zexal, and losing a duel in Arc-V.

Also in the adult cartoon The Venture Brothers, an episode where Dr. Venture and his sons Hank and Dean are digging in the backyard for a family heirloom that might make them rich, they dirt ends up avalanching them into Brock Sampson’s room, leading to this exchange:

The guy who turned up with a 1000 card deck was actually a judge who had been saying for years that yugioh needed a deck limit and he did that to prove a point. His deck was pretty much 3 of every card that you could search with because after you search your deck, you need to shuffle it and shuffling his deck was a complicated issue. He won two rounds by his opponents just giving up before the head judge at the event asked him to withdraw, which he did.
This isn't true this was a player and he would be disqualified every tournament cause it would take him 30mins or more to shuffle the whole deck so before a limit of 60 was made they had a time put in place for for shuffling before there was a card limit

Believe it or not, if you pulled a Celtic Guardian in the Legend of Blue-Eyes 2002 release you scored like crazy because nothing had higher than 1300 ATK in the original starter decks. Might have even been 1200 but I think Feral Imp was in one. Anyways, Celtic Guardian was the highest ATK 4 Star for like 5-6 months I think haha

Cosmo Queen was actually designed later than Dark Magician, not to mention Trance was released in 2012.

my theory is that dark magician is called the " ultimate wizard " is not based on attack and defense, i think it is based on what dark magician can do, can use him to spells to power up or use him in special summonings or rituals to summon gods or to summon yugi's other powerful magicians, if you get me.

It would be really fun if official tournaments had pre-constructed decks (not starters or structures, actual decks created by judges or tournament hosts) and each participant chooses a deck at random and is not allowed to review the deck before the tournament.

Something I didn’t know: Spell Speeds are a thing

Funnily enough, from a guy who thought Cyber Dragon Infinity’s monster attaching effect was a Quick Effect, but I corrected them. He mentioned Spell Speeds during the Duel, but it was relatively new to me. After looking up Spell Speeds, it turns out that whilst Traps, Quick-Play Spells and Quick Effects are Spell Speed 2, Counter Traps are Spell Speed 3, meaning that they can’t be chained to, unless it’s with another Counter Trap.
Not to be confused with Speed Spells, something that people actually remember.
Here's a few extra interesting facts with yugioh I think you'll enjoy!
* Celtic Guardians design is speculated to be inspired by Link from the Zelda franchise.
* Harpie Lady cards and D Hero Malicious are nods to Devilman and his nemesis the Harpy
*Dark Magician Girl was inspired by Yattamans partner( and lover) Yattagirl
* Mahad and Mana are the true forms of Dark Magician/Girl but everyone wonders how they transformed into their magical forms and different skin tones.
Mahads soul was put into the stone tablet so eventually it was made into a card by pegasus but dont know about mana
Dark magician being the ultimate wizard may also refrence all his spell cards that affect him or magician girl he can destroy with thousand knives
To further expand on #24, the reason the judge ruled in 4Kids' favor was because Konami was caught trying to preemptively sell the rights to the Yu-gi-oh anime away while 4Kids still had them
1 other thing, in the gx manga Jaden uses the elemental heroes, a deck he got from the most famous duelist bcs he was in a coma, once he got back Jaden gave him his deck back and dueled him with masked heroes
I actually didn't know a few of these so this pretty cool.
I remember back before the deck size limit there was 1 guy at our locals, was probably someone like him at a lot of locals, who had a 200-300 card "exodia" deck which was more just a deck with exodia in it along with every other card the guy liked.

Here's a tidbit of stuff most people wont know about yugioh , back in 2002-2003 you could spot the packs with supers and ultras by a special marking they had on yugi face , they eventually stop doing it.

I wasn't lucky to get a second copy of it, but I did get Pyramid of Light, which was pretty neat.

Mujtaba Walji actually you do want them to the first season was notoriously bad for coming up with rules and effects that didn’t actually exist in the real game yet somehow always managed to explain the simplest card text in game. Hence the meme. Learning how to play from watching the anime is a bad idea. Reading cards and remembering their effects of the current meta is how you learn

I recently got into Yu-Gi-Oh and I don’t know what a meta deck is. Please explain.
The "metagame" is a collection of the most optimal strategies. When a deck is considered "meta," that just is another way of saying it's one of the best decks currently.
The guy above me explains it well so ill explain what a rogue deck is a rogue deck is a good deck thats not incthe meta circle but has good match ups

@@metadude1234 his og deck had no real ace, it was all dark spirits and demons. Plently of early duels he never summons Dark Magician. It slowly became his ace. Similar to Kaiba having a beatdown deck that slowly turned to a blue eyes deck.

I used to rock Cosmo Queen up until I think 2004 in my Spellcaster/Fiend deck of that era
Here is a random fact that I wish you could put into a Part 2, if you are interested:
We all know about the terrible ways 4Kids mismanaged the show, but in latinamerica (from where I am) it was way worse.
Of all the Yu-Gi-Oh! series, only one of them has been able to finish its run in its entirety, the original Duel Monsters.
As for the others, it goes as follows:
GX: We did not get the 4th season, just like everyone else
5Ds: Only got 52 episodes dubbed
Zexal: Only 49 episodes were dubbed, and this dub I am pretty sure is not even property of the current owners of the license
ARC-V: Only 49 episodes were dubbed and are available on Netflix, along with the other 50 episodes with only its english dub
Vrains: Is currently in production of its dub, but it was announced literally just weeks after the series ended in Japan...
Alongside with that, there are so many crazy anecdotes from the multiple studios of the original DM, to a 99 percent recast of GX, to missed payment for the voice actors of 5Ds, its complete chaos for us... Hope you use this in a future video!
Plus the fact that all the western dubs, including the latin american dub, are based on the 4kids dub unfortunately

Another Fact: Old Monster that weren't played for a long time have been revived as Metaphys. In Metaphys Factor you see them turn into Metaphys
I kind of had a suspicion that when I saw someone play Metaphys Deadalus in duel links and I thought it looked familiar.

I'll make an argument in regards to #12 (keep in mind that I don't speak Japanese and don't know how perfect our translation is)
"ultimate wizard": Wizards, by some definitions, can only be male. Cosmo Queen is not male, so not a wizard.
"attack and defense": Trance the Magic Swordsman has miserable defense. Maybe this wording isn't "best at attack AND defense" but "best at attack and defense (averaged together)"
I just find it hard to believe that they'd drop the ball on Dark Magician being superlative SO soon (Cosmo Queen came out in the same year as Dark Magician), so they must have had a loophole in mind.

I think holographic Yu-Gi-Oh is realizable. Imagine an electronic game mat that scans monster cards, then projects the monster above the card (visible with VR goggles)
I have the feeling that the after genocide card was a reference to the eclipse arc in the berserk series
Usually these sorts of "things you didn't know" features are super low effort click bait but this was actually pretty interesting. I'm a long time fan of the series, grew up reading the manga and watching the anime, but even some of these surprised me! (like the upper deck making bootlegs)

I enjoy these video's, you guys rock. 2019 had 1 70+ card deck as very causal and very bad. And now 2021 got 23 decks, mostly rogues. Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Light Fairy's, Dark, Dragon mishmash, Thunder, Monster position changer, 123 Star monster only deck fun stalling that has top decked a comeback a few times, Barrier Stun Lockdown Tripple Shot Gimmick type deck good at keeping decks from playing, with a few others not said. As some no rouges would be the Spellcaster Deck, Blue eyes trapless 40 card deck rouge style (most are 60 prefer 60 not 40), Shadolls, Hero's, Sacred Beasts, just for fun Darkworld, and got Earth Warrior Warrocks as many Earth Warriors can synergy with it, Dino's. My Handy Exodia deck built to keep cards in my opponent(s) hand(s) unable to kill my Humming Bird gaining 3,000LP a turn and ever get Infinite Cards out then one day 5K, 7K LP likely a turn, with the pay 1,000LP to negate and negate with a win ending at 54,300LP. And a few tricks of rouges decks up my sleeves too being built or not said, lol. Likely will be 30 decks this year too. Trying a 40 card deck with NO spell cards, 1 trap not sure about, might want the monster 3 of in Exodia more thus almost done. Yeah I learned I did it wrong from the Dino battle thus need to figure that out, thanks for the duels and commitment you do Team APS! :)
I remember hearing about Osiris and wondering why it changed to Slifer. I think it was a bold move to change the illustration but a considerably wise move to make the adjustments in cards and anime. Whoever thought of that was genius really cause family Karen mom be canceling stuff for decades really.

Cosmo Queen is a Witch/Sorceress (so she doesn't count) & Trance the Magic Swordsman's COMBINED attack and defense is only 2800 vs Dark Magician's 4600. The dark Magician is the Ultimate due to his various transformations which all have attack and/or defense effects. The ONLY spellcaster that can be normal summoned that is physically stronger than Dark Magician is Harr, Generaider Boss of Storms with a combined total of 6000 Attack and Defense. So far, anyway.
