Don't know what to say... It will be very hard for the kids if you do not end up becoming the main parent....
That's unfortunately a court problem but how do you expect an immoral person to be a good parent. Better yet how do you expect a selfish person to be a good parent. When you cheat you blow up your kids lives and damage them. I have seen it with my cousins and even when their parents stayed together and they still love their parents, they are damaged. You may love your parents but you will have zero respect towards relationships or doubts and certainly resentment and hatred towards that gender of the parent that cheated or worse you follow their steps. One cousin is like his daddy jumping from one girl to the next and his sister a beautiful and very well educated never married and always makes comments about how you can't trust men.
The mother chose her own selfish desires over her husband and children, OP can't force his wife to be faithful he can only choose what his actions will be
The OP made the right decision and chose to end the marriage and told his daughters the truth about what brought on that end result plus the ex wife's friends and coworker are wrong in supporting her because of the fact that if the roles were reversed, the ex husband's friends and family that supported him would be wrong as well in doing so down the line,so problem solved right there big time.
I like the way you handled it, I would also completely just switch if I knew my significant other was cheating on me, as I would see no point in loving her if they didn’t love me.
Btw love and interest are 2 different things, perhaps I’d still be interested in them but I wouldn’t ‘love’ them, as a cheater is a cheater.
I think telling them tou are leaving their mum but now you have kinda made them weapons as now theu wont talknto their mum while yes she is in the wrong but youve put them in the middle and told them anyone.

Did you conveniently skip or forget the fact that the wife would have done the same thing but twist the story or the fact that she already started lying on his name to any one who would listen 🤨
He had to tell them the truth, the only reason he did was because he knew she would’ve done so.
I wouldn’t of told them everything, but I would of said that me and mom aren’t going to be living together anymore. But once they got older you could of told them more but showing the pictures, and stuff like that was wayyyyy to far. They are young and cause them to has some issues when they get older.
Without going into details you can still tell them him and his wife is splitting up better way.
Not to sound mean, but she would probably have poisoned their minds before he had a chance to tell them at a later date. It's better to tell them when it happens before she starts to poison them.
That's exactly what he did. She showed pictures of texts only, not photos. He kept it to a minimum where there was nothing explicit said.
