We are working on nikyo and sangkyu etc.---it would be really helpful now having been introduced to each one to possibly have a video where you demonstrate each one, why they are different etc.? If possible? I think I am in the place where I am getting the names mixed up it would be nice to see each one in the same video separately to compare and contrast----as usual your videos are inspiring and helpful thank you so much for doing this!

During your life did you ever had financial problems? And if so, how did you solve them? Because in my opinion owning a Dojo is a pretty risky job xD

    • @MartialArtsJourney

      Hi,
Owning a Dojo is risky, but also owning any business is risky. It is a lot about taking responsibility for the quality of your work. When you are employed, you get a certain amount of money, even if at some days you are not doing great. When you run a Dojo (business too), if you are not doing great, the Dojo will not do great.
Of course, we all make mistakes and nobody expects you to be perfect, but running a Dojo you have to always do your best to be as great as you can and always to improve, always to understand your members, what they want and how to find balance between what you want to give and their needs.
To answer your question though, I never really had big financial problems ever since I opened my Dojo and it's been four and half years now. But that is mostly because I never stopped to think "what if" but rather always did my best, used the opportunities I've received and made some when there were none.
As you see, I could write about this for a long time :) But I won't go too far now. Yet if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. I'll be more than happy to answer

Thanks for your opinion. These videos are meant to introduce techniques rather than just show technical details, but I will take in mind what you say
