Steve was the one guy on CZcams who was there to help the beginners. When I started my fpv journey , Steve was always there to answer any questions i had and i had a ton. Thanks again steve ! I probably would have given up on the hobby because it was really confusing. And i didn't know anyone in the hobby to bounce questions off. I'm curious about the carry and release add on for fishing to carry your baited line much further than you can cast then drop it ?? Rhanks again Steve!! RUTT ROOO! 😂 LOLOLOL

Seems fantastic for the $ and doesn't have the erroneous DJI geofencing issues!!! Daytime video and pics good looked totally fine on this end. LOL at getting the finger!!!

Another excellent review. You're right about that Transmitter being really good ... and it looks exactly the same as the TX SJRC used on my F22s ! If it is, wonder if I could just wait for the SJRC to sell a fully functional F5s replacement drone body, buy that and use my F22s TX to fly the two drone separately?

Did first real flight today. Video quality is pretty good, no jello. Bitrate is 42 mbps. It does move around a little. If you're not moving, it's not rock solid like a mavic. Did have some problems with it disconnecting, and the drone powered off(not in midair), fortunately!
SJRC have made great entry level drones over the years and with this one you can't go wrong. Great to see a drone video again. Fab review Steve. 😊
Aside for EIS, the drone looks and operates a lot like the HS360s,, controller looks identical and the drone looks almost the same.. great review!

Had a major crash yesterday. I was doing a RTH landing. It seemed to speed up it's decent as it got closer to the ground. I looked up, and it was only two feet above my car parks roof. I pushed stick up but it didn't help. It bounced off the roof. Then went all over the place hitting walls and the ground. Finally it stopped. I took it inside, and some propellers were damaged but I didn't see any damage to the body of the drone. We powered it on, and got no error messages. So we changed all the propellers and took it too the park today. There it got 19 satellites. When we took off, it still didn't go straight up, it driffeted a few meters. We did a RTH landing and it was 6 feet from our landing pad. But at least it seems to be undamaged. I also found that it will never go above 400 feet no matter what the settings. The video quality is reasonably good for a $200 drone. Sometimes get some jello but not often.

It's a good drone but will get limited when taken abroad.
This F5s's sensor seems the same as F11s & F22s, the footage is too sharp and I don't think that's a good thing to me.

Are you seeing any of the plus 249g beginner drones including RI? Holly Stone is making an inexpensive remote ID now. With one of the other ITube reviewers discount codes it's 70$. Not sure if it's the cheapest but might be and it's simple and about 15 grams
Happy Easter. Yes , I know your vids are viewed around the globe , but I think most viewers are in N. America and Europe . And , as you do your reviewing in the Ottawa area Canada , viewers in N.America that are first buyers would probably appreciate knowing about the 250 gm rule maybe coming.
Especially looking almost identical to many sub 250 gm mini drones - ie Holy Stone HS 360s. Just a thought

Understandable but honestly the 250 rule is super old and in the good old days when it came into effect in the USA and CANADA I made a crap load of vids on it.

A very good drone indeed. But the video, although it's nice, it's just passable. Curious on how the 4k or 60fps video looks when maneuvering on the slowest speed setting, or cinematic mode. I'm leaning towards dji mini 2 se now, but I feel I also need this cheaper drone just to play around. Nice video btw, very informative!

POTENSIC ATOM is the better drone (just don't mis it up with the ATOM SE).
Steve I noted it was 300 g so for us hear in the US it would need Remote ID (RI) to be legal to fly in a few months. I disagree with everything about RI, but it will be the law of the land here. It seems you can still buy it here, but not fly it?

Not exactly sure but in past most of these drones can switch to mode one. If you can download the manual you’ll see the instructions to do just that.

Hi, would you be able to test panorama mode and share the results?
On these drones if you do a PANORAMA photo, it is then up to you to stitch the photo together into one, so you'd need another APP on your phone for that, or on your computer.
This drone is about as good as this video. Very good.
Hey that looks like the holy stone HS 360 S drone that I have. I guess they made a drone just like it.
Holystone drones are copies of SJRC and others.
It's a re-branded of SJRC.
Found another problem with this drone. It's writing big video files to my internal memory which got totally filled up. And i see nothing it the settings about cache video.
May I just ask if this drone (F5s),has the same exact camera specs as the rest of the recent SJRC 4K F series variants?Because the video clarity on this one seems better than the previous models.Thanks.

Would you say that this drone is as good or better than the HS720G or would you say the Holy Stone is better? This channel was so much information for beginners.
The holy stone is better, honestly this one is almost exactly like the holy stone HS360S Which was my first GPS Drone, get the Holy Stone IMO.

Hey i got a questiom, do you think i should get this over the c-fly faith mini?
The very old CFLY faith mini and this drone are similar, however the old CFLY faith mini can’t record in 4K at 30 FPS. There is a new CFLY FAITH MINI 2 that has the upgraded camera.

This looks and "sings"' exactly like my HS360S, and the remote to sooo look alike, pretty sure it came from the same place. Only the apps seems a bit better
Yes, sjrc is the manufacture, holystone customs a model with the new name HS360S with a higher price.
I have an inexpensive Infrared video camera that I've been using on my drone at night. It's cube shaped, costs less than $40, and takes very smooth video at 1080p. Even though the IR beams are'n of any help at more than about 6 meters, the nighttime video from it looks better than from the camera on this drone.

Your right when you say DJIs can be expencive in other countries, In New Zealand The mini 3 is $1400 big money the SJRC F5 is $400.

I want to replace my Bugs 20EIS that's a few years old and stay in the same price range. Tried a competitor's and it had severe toilet bowling over water. Returned it. My Bugs never had that problem. Do you know if the F5S+ has a toilet bowling problem over water?
When a drone does the TOILET BOWL it is always due to the COMPASS CALIBRATION begin far from perfect (the Compass and GPS are at odds with each other). So, with that in mind, water has nothing to do with it. Why not get yourself the POTENSIC ATOM or DJI mini 4K or FIMI mini 3.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 I assumed water was the issue since that was the only factor that was different with the new one that I returned. I always calibrate before each and every flight. The drone was rock solid over land but toilet bowled when I tried it over water. Thank you for responding. My Bugs was rock solid in either situation.

Yes, it does. Sadly, there are very few sub 250g drones with a stabilized gimbal.
Does DJI license their old technology to other manufactures? Seems a lot of these entry level drones have the same software as old DJI drones that are 5+ years old.
Technology is very easy to copy and China is the king of copying a product
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 ...Then I am guessing DJI has made it harder to clone their drone firmware, otherwise why would China clone such outdated technology. I suppose cloning firmware is one thing, but getting it to work is much harder.

Hmm - after seeing those "smart flight modes" maybe you SHOULD have pointed the nose up during compass calibration LOL Don't think it would help though. This is clearly one of those "Drone will make a "best effort" to keep subject in frame..
wow, impressive stability and camera resolution for the price.
The major issue in my place for this drone is sudden hard landings. Tried to throttle up but it doesn't work at all. The battery percentage above 35%. It happens to almost people who buy it. Some say it's because of a loose battery housing problem & some say it is due to failure of the factory hardware and software. Has anyone experienced the same problem?

What is real range of the drone? All companys state Range that is not what drone can Make.. Not even close..
Drone has really good pic quality in daytime.. And feutures are great.. All in all, great drone for the price..
Took it to the park today, to show my daughter how to fly it. I see you said you think the controls are very good, but i don't think they are good at all, and there's no way to adjust their sensitivity. Both the gimbal control, and the right stick, do nothing if you move them a little, and do too much if you move them a lot. It's very difficult to have it fly at a constant rate less than full stick. The drone also moves around a lot in the wind, and i worry about my daughter having problems with that. I looked for it's wind rating, but i couldn't find anything. In a strong wind, i think you could lose it, sort of like the first mavic mini. I landed manually, and it didn't stop the motors. I had to figure out how to do it myself. It doesn't have any active track, where the drone will move and follow you around. What it has, is more like what DJI used to call spotlight, where the drone will remain stationary, and point the camera at something moving. Just my opinions.
The good news is you did well and didn’t destroy or lose your drone. Often beginners panic and then the drone is destroyed. Keep in mind that I’ve been flying drones since 2013 and have easily flown over a thousand different drones by now. What is simple for me may be a struggle for others, but with practice everyone gets better.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 I'm not a beginner. I had a mavic pro in 2017. Have had 3 other mavics. Probably a thousand hours of flying. But my daughter is a beginner.
