Me too. I write stories as a hobby, and a lot of the atmospheres that they made in the metroid prime games I use in them, just because of how... real that they felt. It's indescribable.

Honestly what Metroid Prime has done with its OST is insane. Kenji Yamamoto pretty much created an unique genre. It fits the Mystic technology so well.
No music has adds to the atmosphere like Metroid Prime's. Just brilliant. Whenever I hear it, I wanna play it.
I was coming from the N64, this was my 1st game on the gamecube, and god it was a slap.
This has been my go-to background/study music since 2015. Always eases me in the perfect mood to get things done or just chill out. Thank you for making this, long live Metroid Prime and Retro Studios!

This is actually music straight from a Video Game soundtrack. The rain is added though. It's raining in the game, but there was no rain sound. Just visual. So the added rain completes the feeling

I love all the music from 1-2-3 each one is beautiful and relaxing in its own way and for me it's doubly so. When ever I would be stressed I'd just listen to this music and idk why but it would just exude a sense of calm for me. An it also surprised me to learn that the music for the game was made by a world famous orchestra (for the life of me can't remember their name and feel awful for it) if it wasn't for my grandfather introducing this to me when I was like 7-9 I would have never found this awesome trilogy, may he Rest In Peace.
I got Metroid Prime a bit late, around 2006 when I was 6 years old (I'm still a "kid" if you will, but it's been 10 years you know) and I have so many memories of struggling against the fucking parasite queen. Yes, I was too young to understand what the hell was going on with the game, but I fell in love with it and to this day the prime games still have a special place in my heart. Definitely some of the best games ever made!

Hey, I am pretty much the same as you- Introduced to Metroid when I was 5/6 yrs old (granted, it was fusion on GBA, but still), I fell in love. Then I discovered Prime was a thing when I was 7; I may have spend a little too much time on the official websites too, haha. But damn, I hold so much nostalgia to these games.

Talon Overworld just isn't the same without the rain and thunder. It just adds so much!

When I first played this game, I really liked the first Tallon overworld theme since it was a callback to the original Metroid (at that point, the only other one I had played), and I really disliked when it switched over to this track, despite how little time you spend in this area compared to others. Nowadays, though, I really like this track and it's the first music that comes to mind when I think about Metroid Prime. Masterful composition to stick out like that despite being one of the tracks I heard the least of.

Just like Metroid Prime Pinball. One of my favorite games screw everyone who doesn't like it. Though, whether or not it was said because I sure don't know, the game sure felt like it was very very incomplete or rushed very very fast.

Sad news for metroid prime 4
It's annoying that we have to wait longer for it to be released, but this news actually makes me happy. I'd say it's better for the game to be delayed than for it to be released in a half-finished state, and I'd also say the fact that it was handed over to Retro Studios to be a very good thing.

So what's wrong with it??? :(
1. It has nearly nothing to do with the rest of the Metroid franchise. Metroid is about exploration and the fact that you are alone against a much larger threat, usually having a diverse plot behind it and of course, the items you collect to help even the odds and in the prime series, the scans that help you learn about your surroundings and the plot itself (what is going on). All you seem to be doing in Federation Force is playing space soccer aka Blast Ball, and doing random missions with your fellow chibi marines.
2. Samus as a non-playable character? Really? I thought Samus was the protagonist of the Metroid series, not some pathetic side character. (or one-time character)
3. The graphics do not meet the standards of other 3DS titles, especially this far into the 3DS's life. It looks a lot like Metroid Prime Hunters, which was released on the DS. (and also released in 2006) The Prime series is known for it's beautiful atmosphere and graphics (especially in Prime 1, looking much, much better than any Metroid game before) but Federation Force does not seem to replicate this at all.
4. The last well received Metroid game we have gotten was back in 2007, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. In 2010, we got Metroid: Other M, but while it was a Metroid game, it was not very well received. We haven't gotten a single Metroid game for 6 years, and our first return into the Metroid franchise is going to be a spinoff Metroid game which does not star Samus at all, but instead a group of chibi space marines. Also keep in mind that 2016 is the Metroid series' 30th anniversary, and not only does Nintendo not care at all, all we get to celebrate is a tiny spinoff known as Metroid Prime: Federation Force.
5. Kind of as a side note, but why does it have the Metroid Prime name if it seemingly has nothing to do with Phazon or Metroid Prime/Dark Samus? I thought both were destroyed back in Prime 3. The Prime series is already complete.
Don't mean to be harsh, but Metroid Prime: Federation Force does not seem to be a true Metroid game at all. It doesn't have anything that the Metroid series is known for, and only seems to be an attempt for kids to be interested in Metroid, because Nintendo doesn't like how Metroid is meant for more mature audiences. (especially in the Prime games)
