  • All right guys today’s video we are doing a couple cold starts, Removing the muffler and replacing it with straight pipe. I’m using a couple of random elbows I have laying around, a flat sheet of metal and some flex pipe. I hope you guys enjoy the video and please don’t forget to like, subscribe and hit that notification bell.

    Very nice. Thank you for showing the difference between the muffler and straight pipe versions side by side.

    We have the same engine in a '71 Ford 9000. I'm thinking about straight piping it this summer. It'll probably be with some cheap flex-pipe too.

      It sounds awesome straight piped, but it’s also very very loud, almost a little obnoxious in the cab😅

      Is it multifuel?

      @DieselDom  Před 2 lety

      Only diesel. I would have liked to have a multi fuel

    It sounds great but it's definitely much louder. My muffler flange to the J-pipe is cracked. If I lived in the open like you, I'd straight pipe it. I live in the city limits and I'm *trying* to be considerate of my neighbors so I think I'm going to have to replace the muffler.
    It must be awesome to have those wide open spaces to drive that truck.

      It is nice and it does sound really good. But it is really loud and I’m not sure it was worth it in the cab

    What pre heat is there? Didn't think they had glow plugs.

      Grid heater

      Just picked up a M925a1 I believe mine only has either start. Was hoping for some type of heat system. I did install a inline block heater that works good.

      @@OneBadBuick yeah mine has a grid heater and I still need to install the block heater.

      I’d like to right away, but I’ll blow it up if I don’t put the proper pistons in it first haha

      I actually sold the truck recently and I can’t remember off the top of my head what size they are. If I get it figured out I will let you know for sure!
