The first time i heard the Aeon Theme, I got genuine goosebumps.
That's exactly why I stopped everything I was doing and started an Aeon playthrough. Too bad I couldn't stomach the choices the path demands.
I listen to it regularly, and I played this game since release. Amazing theme. Like a ticking clock. So thematically appropriate.

The main mythic path theme always reminds me of a line from the recapture of Drezen, when you finally begin to change not just inwardly but outwardly as well; the narration talks about how it feels like your body is being ripped apart and rebuilt far stronger at the exact same time. It makes me imagine the most bizarre confluence of feelings ever, a sort of torturous rapture: the most intense pain you've ever felt in your life, paired equally with the purest bliss imaginable. The old you being destroyed to make room for the new.
The main mythic always gives me goosebumps ❤

In Forgotten realms books, when Elminster is made a Chosen of of Mystra he explains how her magic basically rips him apart and puts him back together. This happens every time she gives him more power or basically reverses the aging process.
This soundtrack had no right to go as hard as it did.
Absolutely first class. Exactly the sort of music you want for an epic fantasy story.
When you hear the first song playing, you know that someone’s ass is going to get kicked hard.
Best part is.... it's YOUR boss theme. That's what every enemy hears when they fight you, you only hear it at the important parts :)

Aeon, Lich, and Legend really stand head and shoulders above the rest. I will say though, the instrumentation to create that **buzzing** sound effect in Swarm is really cool.
For me it's Angel that stands above others. Especially part at 3:29. Lich probably second best for me.
Imagine this game didn't even get a nomination at The Game Awards for best soundtrack
Because those awards are bought with cash behind the scenes.

Azata benefits more than the other themes from seeing how it evolves in game, since its actually diegetic. A lot of its power in a playthrough comes from that.
The demon theme is amazing. Legend theme sounds exactly like it should.

No track aside from Face the Abyss gets me more hyped than the Demon theme.
Killing Noticula, usurping her throne and then murdering the traitorous conspirators and being proclaimed as a new demon lord all while the Demon theme is playing. Coolest moment in the game easily.
It's called the "Ultimate Ending" in the game files for a reason :D

HOLY mother of GOD dude the Legend theme was the most epic thing I've ever heard, though they were all great!
I felt that choosing legend and playing the game as legend was also just as epic as the theme. I loved it so much, but then again I loved almost everything about the game ... except gold dragon path.
@@TheRubsi I'm the opposite, I love the Gold Dragon path. In my opinion it's the coolest path storywise despite the bugs.
With that said, Legend theme is the best for sure, it also is the most epic thing I've ever heard.

And if you listen closely, you'll notice the dread of the music. Cause that's exactly the trickster is, they're hilarious but highly unstable

Dragon, Demon and Aeon its really something else
Kinda threw me off guard when The Angel theme had the Lich in the background
Made me actually wonder if there's a splash art of this particular scene for every mythic path, and who would be with them seeing as Camellia and Seelah interchange between Lich and Angel (as well as Arue becoming corrupted with Lich) couldn't tell if one horned guy is Lann, doesn't seem like him... But would be fun if Demon has Wendu, Aeon has Lann, Trickster has Daeran or Woljif, Azata has Aivu ofc!(damn adorable Dragon), Golden Dragon has Ember or Sosiel perhaps, Devil has Regill is already everywhere... uhh... Corrupted Woljif? That doesn't look right, idk who fits Devils other than Regill... , Legend has Nenio! or maybe Greybor?, and Swarm outright actually eating up both sides.
I don't know if I've ever heard a better boss battle theme than the mythic path theme, it's really incredible
Wait, the Azata theme is an epic version of the song that the clerics of Desna sing at the temple? Awesome
All trough act 3 you do upgarde the song if you sing hit every time you get a chance to do it.

the best moment with the azata theme is it playing as the lsland lifts into the air, no matter how many times i go through it it gives me chills

I can't quite speak for the other paths, but I'm of the opinion that the Azata are just stupidly busted with their abilities. The superpowers you get are just plain insane.

> You're a god at all skills and weapons
> No one will ever die
> Random effects on-hit, including instant death
> All your targeted spells are doubled
> All your spells are harder to resist
> Regeneration (genuinely up to 40 points per round)
And casually a dragon as companion.
Angel is even stronger all abilities you get are for nuking Demons and resisting them.
Angel Oracle laugh’s in orbital lazer-beams with 30d12 irresistible damage 😂❤
@@svenxybauer Meanwhile, Azata laughs with songs that make Army battles a breeze.
The fact they just completely shift the tide in one burst is nuts, and they're free to use to boot.
@@DBinitiate Angels don't sing. They cast a Spell that deletes the entire enemy backline. They're so powerful I had to raise the difficulty to unfair to get ANY Challenge and even then only the optional bosses made me think. Playful Darkness? Deleted with two "Bolts of Justice" In Act 5 Your Party is basically immune to anything that's not damage. And at Act 5 I had 24h for EVERY Spell... Haste, Devine Power, Eaglesoul... Name it... Angel with merged Spellbook feels like Storymode - on Hard.
Angel Oracle is straight up busted even in Act 3. Maximized Storm of Justice for 180 aoe damage, 1 hour party buff with AC, displacement and resistance to all elements, partywide immunity spells and so on. AND you're not half bad in melee
The lich backround is so cool

funny enough, Lich has the ability to just straight up turn a creatures immunity to Instant Death effects off...including the final boss.

Doing a Legend playthough now. I wasn't really feeling going from Angel to Legend, but I'm slapping everything. Bloodrager 20 into Fighter 2handed 20 and I hit like a monster truck. I thought I was gimpiong myself without the Angel buffs..but I hit things so fuckin hard. I think I'm more of a monster now than I was before.

I think the white haired girl was an early draft of Ember, this concept art came me out quite early in development.
you must be already heard "Fly of the Bumblebee" and Swarm theme is almost the same with it minus the speed. you can heard noise in the back which sound like a swarm of bugs, flies idk. legend sound epic because this is the path you choose you didnt need a mythical power hack cosmical power like Aeon and Trickster.
Angel is the canonic ending
Demon is the alternate canonic ending
Aeon is "all of this was never ment to happen" secret ending
Azata is light hearted fanfiction take on story
Lich is darker and edgeier, but well written fanfiction
Legend is very by the rules fanfiction
Devil is alternative take on deamon ending. Not as popular as orginal
Dragon is fanfiction written by someone who may, or may not, be a furry
Swarm-that-walks is that one slasher fanfic that few people admit reading and fewer enjoying, but everyone knows
And Trickster is that one goofy fanfiction intended on heckling on everything orginal authors hold dear
You deserve more likes, this is very on point.
Particularly Swarm that Walks being the slasher fan fic, the shit you do in that feels like something you would see in some of those fringe Undertale fan fics on which everyone dies.

I know this is just a comment for fun, but I have to say that Legend truely is the canonic ending and Angel + Demon are just the "what if ..." narrations inside the main character's head. Lich is definitely not an alternative take on Demon, more like a stark trek mirror universe version of the legend story :D

It could be seen as a path of ultimate evil, Or, The way I like to see it, A path of someone who lost all hope or went insane from the horrors of what they saw.

What a mistake it was to pick Trickster on my first playthrough. These other themes are amazing. The Trickster theme is a fuckin' clown show (which I realize is thematically appropriate, but they really could have come up with a less grating song for it).
you werent listening well enough tricksters is probably the most intimidating of the themes

Normally I don't like orchestra music ingames(old time gamer) and found them forgetful like movies, wotr is the only exception.

EDIT: Angel could maybe be more powerful, but I didn't play as an Oracle or someone that could merge spellbook.
Swarm/Devil/Dragon/Legend are largely bereft of content being last second additions. The golden ending was also cut from the first two for no discernable reason. Demon is Edgier than lich but has nice amounts of content.
Angel Cleric is easy mode what are you talking about. Wrath of the Righteous and Storm of Justice is literally an AoE nuke spells. It's like saying lich is weak because you didn't play Wizard, yeah duh you are not playing the class it is intended for.
My angel cleric was casting maximized divine bolts into gods by the end and was the primary nuker for damage on top of being the buff bot for the party.

Shame this game never hooked me, even though I like CRPGs I tried it twice.
It has a steep learning curve. Try watching some tutorials and trying again. I recommend crpg bro's channel. He helped me a lot
How far into the game did you get? This feels almost impossible to believe, maybe you need to have another go. I sunk over 500 hours into it and made multiple playthroughs, something I almost never do in RPGs.
Its somekind hard to get into. I understand. Same way i cant get into Neverwinter nights 1 then it comes out.
But then NWN 2 get relesed i complete it three times.
Its just needs right mood to start. Then you really want hardcore plot-oriented game.
And of course DnD and dice sometimes push you away from such games. But i really interested in Rogue trader that Owlcat making now. It look like classic trpg Xcom-style.
It isn't for everyone, man. Find what you like 👍

@@yo3theguys980 I mean it's obviously subjective but I played Azata my first run through and the theme is so low-key and generic I honestly thought it was a town theme. Meanwhile when Words of Baphomet came down (which is a variation on the Demon theme) I ran over to Google it because it SLAPPED.

1. That is NOT what the EULA says. Nowhere does it say they can access your documents or all of your personal data; the strangest things it asks for are your geolocation (which, sure, isn't as anonymous as the description of the EULA seems to think it is, but it's also something literally any fucking website you have ever visited has by way of your IP address) and "information on (hardware and) software installed on the User's Device". (which they're almost certainly asking for to investigate conflicts between apps. and even if they aren't, what are they gonna do, sell the fact that you use uTorrent to the FBI? they already know)
2. The information about data usage was in the EULA since launch. In fact, it's even in Kingmaker, a game Owlcat flat out lost the rights to and aren't allowed to update (which is why the console version is still such a mess). The EULA popped back up in early 2022 not because it was changed but because at some point it stopped showing up for people entirely.
Take issue with how much info the EULA asks for if you want, but don't perpetuate lies about it.
