Hi, fellow Californian here. Glad to see you post info on this, the CA model M18. There are very few posts about this specific model (actually, none that I could find).
I’m curious if you can use the safety as a gas pedal when shooting, to help to control recoil, like you can with a 1911. Looking forward to a review of its shootability and reliability. Thanks again for posting.

I've only got a few mags through it right now, but the safety does have enough of a shelf on it to get the edge of my thumb down and keep it there while shooting. I'm not sure it's enough to use as a gas pedal unless you have really small hands (and mine are on the smaller side as it is). Theyre about the same width as a low-profile 1911 safety, if that helps you visualize. I'll pay more attention to that as I shoot and put it in the first impressions video 👍🏽 Thanks for watching!

In california can you switch out the M18 grip module for the X series version of the M18 grip?
