all the hate and negative comments , look on the bright side , its a new camera , they did the best on making a better camera , when you see innovation be happy , its not easy to make something that amazing , sure we all want a big sensor and other stuff , but this camera has 125x zoom , better image quality , better video ,
Street photography with the P1000.
With this camera, you don't actually need to travel. Just get up on a high enough building and photograph the place you would have otherwise flown to.
I have this camera and i can say it is a masterpiece. If Nikon double the price it is still worth buying. This is a genuine review by B&H and this is a unique gear in the photography world.
Stalking taken to a whole new level...
One important aspect that wasn't talked in depth about is raws.
Nikon all in front ... Mind-blowing 3000mm zoom. 4K Ultra HD video. RAW (NRW), macro, time- and super lapse and so much more. I really look forward to their new pro cameras.

I've been waiting for this upgrade!
What was amazing with the P900 was the ability to take excellent handheld pictures at 2000mm. Hope the stabilization system on the P1000 will be as good!

Nice video! It does certainly have a compelling high order bid. I'll be curious to see how the auto-focus works in video situations. It's great to see it has a fully articulating screen.
Today i use the Nikon Coolpix P500... LOVE THIS!
