It does appear Dan was, and his family are, a believer. That's a wonderful thing to me.
Yep, I think I remember him talking to his mum and acknowledging how much her faith was helping her deal with the situation. And if Ben is playing drums in the worship group it’s clear that church meant a lot to the whole family. I also like that Dan didn’t mention it directly but talked more about faith and spirituality in a general sense as it probably helped him reach a wider audience with his message about living with cancer. It was obviously a very personal thing for him - some like to share faith openly, and others prefer to let it work from within. Just a wonderful, rounded and inspiring family all round...
I often wondered what his Faith was, or if he followed anything. I’m so happy to see he was a child of God. Miss you Dan RIP
I'm pretty sure he was an Atheist. If you go to his website and type Religion into the search bar you'll find a post from January 8 about it.
I just read his blog entry from Jan 8th and he makes it clear he doesn’t believe God exists. I don’t know if he felt differently later, I certainly hope he did.
