I've been learning russian on n off for abt 6 months but I think I've been doing it all wrong you know cuz typically it's the other way around, u first learn all the curse words n then u continue with the rest of the language.
Even if one doesn't use hard language, knowing it is still important. It helps one determine the character of the person one hears using it, and just for understanding the language in general. Thanks!
I learned in cultural anthropology class that swear words are among the first words exchanged when different cultures meet. The story in the textbook involved an American anthropologist going to live with an isolated Papua New Guinean tribe. Once the basic pleasantries had been exchanged and the anthropologist had settled in, the tribespeople wanted to know what the best English swear word was. For days afterward, the tribespeople delighted in yelling "Fook!" at each other and laughing hysterically.
But please don't use these words in public places too often (in Russia). It's not fun, stupid and very annoying. Also using these words/expressions unsuitable you can provoke the negative situations - face beating specifically.
Elephant Paulstone same thing where my family's originally from (Montenegro). People stare at you like you have 10 heads if you swear just anyhow. In fact, some cusses are mostly used in fights.

Exactly, it annoys me how most of the people only knows the cursed words as russian. My german classmate knows russian but he only yells suka blyat to the whole class and doesn't use anything else.

Lol
I love this world lmao
I would like to know more, actually
У меня так друг собаку - Dick(Дик) назвал. Потом орали с этого
@@itacom2199 That was pretty much the whole story, as the book had it. :)
I love how serious you are in this lesson. Very professional as you teach us these swears, lol. They do spice up our vocabulary!
As a polish person I can relate. I feel the meaning.
Now we can understand what is being said on the videos of the “Special Military Operation”
lol.
Cringe
But please don't use these words in public places too often (in Russia). It's not fun, stupid and very annoying. Also using these words/expressions unsuitable you can provoke the negative situations - face beating specifically.
Elephant Paulstone same thing where my family's originally from (Montenegro). People stare at you like you have 10 heads if you swear just anyhow. In fact, some cusses are mostly used in fights.
@@emmm507 swearing in public places is not fun. But fun swearing is always fun. Art of using curse words is very important at any case:)
@@hellfiredoughnut1434 well, in fact you can use Russian curse words to produce real art. For example, check out some of Mayakovsky's poems. Nonetheless, to swear beautifully, you need to know the language at least close to the natives' level
Overusing curses in Russian shows you like a stupid person, who doesn't know more words than "блять" and "пиздец". It's cool to use them to express your feeling, but again, don't overuse them.
Exactly, it annoys me how most of the people only knows the cursed words as russian. My german classmate knows russian but he only yells suka blyat to the whole class and doesn't use anything else.
КАК? КАК МОЖНО МАТЕРИТЬСЯ ТАК НАУЧНО?

Сколько не старайся, а всю глубину русского мата можно понять только пожив в России

@@kremlebotche7946 камон невозможно изучить все многобразие русского мата, живя не в России. Русский мат же как конструктор, можно просто бесконечно новые слова генерировать. Да и различать одни и те же слова в разном контексте иногда просто анрил, если ты не носитель

I had so much fun with this lesson!!! Great explanation of these words... although maybe a little bit incomplete... but I wouldn't explain them better 😊
