Dood I used to play with some cracked player who did EXACTLY this and in a 1v1 its near unstoppable. The only thing really to do is bait them out and hope the over extend slightly so u MAYBE have a chance. Yeah idk what could “counter” this I mean it really just depends on how consist they can hit those shots. So yeah too strong if u can do it.
Well on console it sure is. I’de like to see someone do this without mouse and keyboard.
I have a few things to say about this:
1. Snipers are the best weapon in the game if you hit 100% of shots, however that requires a lot of practice to have anywhere near 90%.
2. The counter is citans (excluding same connection based shit like how fusions can get you through a wall), you used to be able to use vertical but that has been butchered
3. You want to peak left because your POV is in the left eye of your character
4. The reason it’s so oppressive is because how long it takes for your character to appear do you P2P networking. Like alot of the time you can snipe them before you even appear. It’s the same reason why you will miss a shot and it will hit or you hit a shot and it does nothing or the resin why melees act the way they do
Alright so I will definitely be making an in-depth guide on this, it may take me a week or two as this isn’t my full-time job and it’ll likely be a pretty big video that will require a lot of editing. Also to answer a few questions, yes I play with a controller I am on a console. I use 16 sens and .6 ads…also we now have a discord server that is available to everyone who would like to join. It is my clan server so please keep that in mind. We are not a carry clan/server so if that is all you are looking for it might not be the place for you but we do like to help people out with trials and are always willing to answer any questions..also we feel that the D2 pvp community can be a bit we’ll say “strange” so any toxicity will be met with a ban as we are all pretty chilled out people and we don’t have the patience for that lol! discord.gg/YbHSgpDWwj

find a sniper you like/feels best for you i find that coping the meta doesn't really help for example i use eye of sole yes its a very good sniper but you got snipers like beloved and 1000 yard stare. zoom is another thing you don't want a high zoom sniper. use what feels good for you.
A good sniper to practice on is the Aachen lr2 snapshot with armor peircing for collaterals and old ambush scope
Comes in void and kinetic
Crafted beloved, a good 1000 yard stare, the blue sniper that has snapshot, sins of father, eye of sol if you can snag a good roll, adored those are all good snipers most people will tell you to try. Helps a lot if you are playing warlock since you can put on ophidian aspect and have a much better handling :). Cloudstrike is also super fun and effective to master. Dont forget your targeting mods and having fluted barrel
Find your sniper and practice always aiming where you predict your enemy will be, at head level. Simple tips but they will help alot
The reason peeking from the left is advantageous despite holding the gun on the right is that your camera is actually centered while the character model is leaning right during the aim down sights. When an opposing guardian is facing you, they are leaning on your left - the mirror of their right. So peeking from the left, they see your shoulder before your right leaning head, while you're more likely to see their head. Peeking right, they see your right leaning head along with your shoulder and if they're peaking too, you'll see their shoulder first.

I’d love a full guide. Great video. I’ve got about 5k sniper kills and I’m very confident with a sniper but I am not confident in close range like seeing your clips.
Definitely a lot of practice involved so stay on that grind haha🐐🔥and it looks I’ll be dropping the guide at some point based on all the feedback haha
main thing to keep track of is reticle positioning, character movement, audio queue like jumps to take advantage of, map knowledge, the aim will come with alot of time but i've been using this playstyle for years now, gotten my sniper to 85-90% hs

Reticle friction tends to help a lot in close quarter situations, and having good reticle placement helps that reticle friction do its thing.
Sick content as usual - really happy to see the channel taking off. I think a guide to aggressive sniping would be good, even if it is just a top three tips to focus on so folks can know where to start. I hear the dregs in the EDZ make for really good target practice.

This is my favorite play style by far, because it has the highest ceiling for that “wtf just happened” factor/reaction

The reason we haven’t seen much aggressive sniping like this for a while is definitely because of the AA nerfs paired with higher zoom snipers.
That being said, now that Beloved is back (40 zoom) and shotguns got nerfed AGAIN (idk why, but fusions are ok?) to the point a sniper is a more reliable shotgun now, we’ll definitely see more people committing to sniping again!
I've been playing with a similar style for months, I'm super interested in a more detailed version of the video. It will surely help me get better at this playstyle

This probably explains why I love firmly planted / opening shot on my sol…slide sniping is 80% of my kills
If you’re practicing this on Titan and prefer another exotic over Dudemarchers, the Stasis class Behemoth has an Aspect that grants a longer slide.
agro sniping is something ive done since i started playing d2 in S10. I personally think that despite just how good the playstyle is once mastered it is also just insanely fun going for clips that are just absolute jaw droppers.

I totally agree. This is the hardest play style to go against by far. I'd love a video on counterplay... I know there really isn't much, but what do YOU end up dying to when you're playing like this?
Also do you happen to know lukaszspam? He's also an aggressive console sniper and I wondered if you'd know him from the scrim scene. He's a friend and I've 1v1'd him a number of times. It's literally just going against this 100% of the time haha. Really keeps you on your toes.
Good teams that don’t give you space and constantly push you and have map control make it much harder to play like this, but in a normal 1v1 really the only way you lose is if you miss (which happens a lot) but it’s strong because it’s really on you to mess up!….name sounds familiar I’m sure I’ve probably played him before
For me this play style was very effective on Titan idk why maybe the punch just makes me empowered

Definitely interested in a follow up. Has been my favorite play style since D1, and I don’t use stompees. Used to have a firmly planted sniper for this reason. What are your thoughts on the perfect beloved for this play style?

Best counter is to not peak lane’s where’s there’s peaker advantage. Aggressive good teams pickup quickly if now the players good with sniping.

This is why i sometimes use antaeus wards, it's a good counter for this playstyle.
I have been using cloudstrike all day, this video was so helpful, had me playing lanes way smarter after watching this, the slide snipes are really hard but so strong.

Most 90 RPM Snipers with high handling should do the trick!
@@Awake_wl awesome! I have a good Shepards watch, otherwise was thinking about crafting a thoughtless with perpetual/snapshot and maxing the handling. It's very close to the zoom of eye of sol and I have one for PVE I love.

Ofcourse he doesnt use and does this on a controller. This playstyle with sniper is simply not possible on a normal controller. Obviously he is using mnk, or maybe macro or scuffs etc. Which is cheating btw.

I have gotten so good at drag scoping and flicking that I will dome the sliding sniper. That being said, a sliding sniper is a direct counter to my play style. My shot has to be perfect where as the slide sniper can dome me if I miss or even double body me.
I say this to proclaim I’m a god. Just to say that it’s possible to 💩 on slide snipers. The catch is that you have to be very good at flicking and dragging. I’m actually better at hitting moving targets than still ones 😂
I would however love a guide on side sniping. I feel like I hit those when I turn up and am feeling myself. I must know the way 😂

what sensitivity do you play on? I’ve been changing mine up to find a balance between accuracy and reactivity but no luck so far when it comes to close range sniping, I did it very well with my old sens but my primary shot lacked
From your settings vid you have ‘hold to crouch’ mapped so when you slide you auto stand up.. would you say that helps you pull off so many slide snipes?
If this continues you might save pvp for me ngl, ever since snipers got nerfed I lost almost all ability to snipe due to flinch changes and aim assist nerfs but yeah bro please elaborate 🔥🔥

yo so im crafting my beloved and the most popular roll for the gun is obvs enhanced quickdraw and snapshot. But if ur playing like this would subbing quick draw for moving target be better?
I crafted QuickDraw but moving target is also very good!
Now do all this with Lorentz if ur not comfortable with snipes or wanna be more annoying. Because of the red dot it’s easier to hit your target and the sucky perk its great for trials
This is essentially the only way I snipe i cant stand around doing nothing waiting for people to walk into my screen I always miss those shots but if I slide in and flick onto someone I hit so many more shots

Yeah I’ve been trying to do this. But I’m usually missing. Although I do get some cool clips from time to time, it usually gets me killed. I probably should just predict slide shotgun better.
Oh yeah same I die all the time but the more you do it the more consistent you’ll get, just stick to the grind brother🔥🐐

I would say snapshot is the best option for sure, maybe not necessary but I don’t think any other perks would be worth not using it for this type of play style
this is surprisingly easier to pull off with beloved. another reason its a top tier sniper
