Oakland to San Francisco in 1 min 31 sec! Old Bay Bridge, no "S" curve!

  • A nostalgic and fast pace trip on the old Bay Bridge before construction of the new bridge and before the infamous and deadly "S" curve. The "S" curve was a temporary bypass curve that allowed traffic to continue flowing during construction of the new bridge. An high number of drivers were surprised by the unfamiliar curve, resulting in many crashes.
    Notice the many changes in a decade.

    i came to this old video just to get a look at the old bridge from when i was smaller😪

      Don't feel sorry. The old bridge was ugly. The ride on the new bridge is wonderful! Coming from SF, the view of the East Bay is stunning!

    I don't anywhere near the west coast of the u.s (I live on the east coast) so I had to figure out what he meant by "s curve"

      Right! I didn't think many people outside of the bay would view this video. I have just added an explanation of the "S" curve in the description!

      @@MoulfritProd I mean comparing it to later videos of the old bridge post s curve it looks hardly noticable too me, it's just a more sharp turn
